Less than a month of correct use (handwashing, never using boiling water) and the carafe suddenly detached from the handle and smashed to pieces. Appalling low quality glass, and unsafe for use. I would return the item for a refund, but it wouldn’t be safe to send broken glass through the post. I’ll be letting everyone I know not to buy from La Cafetiere in the future.

3 cups is a big stretch. It’s a one cup cafetière but I really like the design, so am keeping it.
Hope people are careful washing it, we will see in time if it breaks easily or not.

I’m shocked the handle got released from the main body. It looks like it’s glued and I just saw now this is a common issue on the reviews. Its a safety hazard as it could cause a serious accident.
After contacting the supplier they sent me in less than a week a new product, allowing me to choose a different model where the holder is in like a case and not glued hence increasing the stars to 3.
