I didn’t read the ad completely and while I see no blemish anywhere, the pod lift doesn’t stay open. I also noted the coffee water doesn’t get boiled only hot. So when making a carafe it doesn’t stay hot a long time.
I fell in love with the one my sister had, same model. Her’s gets HOT, her carafe keeps the heat.
Not sure what the flaw was with this, my guess is the heat. But overall it works as should, very simple to operate.
The single serve basket for using your own grounds works great, but is a pan to empty. As the grounds cling. But rinses very easy and stores in the cup holder below.

I have had the flex brew for a total of eight days. The first couple days were the charm I thought it was the most wonderful coffee maker ever. Loved loved it. Well the honeymoon is obviously over and I have had a couple of days of overflows coffee grounds all over the place, coffee grounds in my pot. Nothing like getting tons of grounds in your cup of coffee! Unfortunately, because we loved it, my husband cut up the box for recycle and I feel like now I’m out of luck on returning it!I am so extremely disappointed with this Coffee maker. It wasn’t the cheapest or the most expensive, but it doesn’t really matter if it doesn’t work right. So totally disappointed! On the single side, I feel as though it is hard to close. I have been happy with the results, with a better kcup brew…It takes significantly longer than a Keurig.However, since I purchased this to be able to make a pot of morning coffee, the single side is not important. I’m hoping there was someway that I can ship it back without the original box, if not it’s a piece of junk

The system is great as a whole, but do not order the Thermal Carfe. I bought this in June and six months later it came apart. I put in a warranty request, but have not heard back from Hamilton Beach. I will update when I do hear back.

I had bought a Keurig model similar to this Beach model last year. One year later I got the dreaded E1 error message and my Keurig was officially dead. So the search was on and I found this. SO much better than Keurig and same price. The stainless steel carafe keeps the coffee superwarm. Easier to clean than traditional glass pots. The K cup and single brew inserts are great. I use the compostable K cup pods by SFB coffee. Brews grest! You also get a loose coffee single serve filtered basket that fits in the K cup slot. Just put your loose grounds in, closed and brew. I have used Hamilton Beach products for years. Very pleased with this coffee maker.

Yes! Love this! Brew an entire pot or just a single cup! It takes a bit longer than I expected to brew, but it’s truly the perfect temperature. We have several coffee systems that scorch the coffee. And this does not! Came with reusable filter for single cup but our puppy got a hold of it and chewed it up before we could use it. I tried to call coffeemakers.us.com customer service to order just that part but was advised to contact manufacturer. Haven’t done that yet, but just wanted to say everything works GREAT but I can’t give feedback on that one feature.

This coffee maker is by far one of the best things I have purchased for my kitchen in years. I have the Thermos(10-cup) version with the single cup(k-cup) on the side. It has worked flawlessly for many months. The program timer: I set the program timer almost every night since getting it and it has made coffee without a doubt each morning. The only issue was that setting the hour:minute was a little confusing at first but I got it. When setting the program just wait a moment and it will automatically move to the minute. Pot & K-cup: A few days in between needing a whole pot I have used K-cups and it punctures the k-cup every time. I have made almost 50 pots of coffee and nearly 3 dozen k-cups. Maintenance & Cleaning: The device has been very easy to clean on all parts. Also, the clever built-in storage for the K-cup and small single brew side is great. 5/5 Stars: I will continue to and have recommended this coffee maker to many people. When/if this pot eventually breaks down I will be searching for the updated replacement.

Coffee is as essential to some of us as a morning shower. When you add the fact of three grown men trying to get a cup of coffee simultaneously, that could spell disaster. I love the two-brew system, you can program the strength of the brew, set your timer, and it’s ready for you in the morning. I love the feature of being able to pre-program two brews, one pot for my mates, and a 16-ounce Keuric for myself. This is a very nice coffee maker. Although it didn’t completely replace my Keurig. My husband bought this for me as a Christmas gift. Because he wanted me to have the option to brew a pot of coffee, being that I go through so many k-cups. He thought it would completely replace my Keurig. It did for me. But it didn’t for him! Lol He didn’t like having to pour in his water for every cup of coffee. Also not having the ability to choose the ounces he wanted to brew. For me this is not a deal breaker. Because it does brew a very good hot cup of coffee. – You have to pour the amount of coffee you want to brew each time into the coffee maker. Whether it be the pot or cup side. – It doesn’t stay in a preheated state. So it needs time to heat up. Then starts to brew. – You can’t choose the ounces you want to brew. So pour no more than the cup size you are using into your machine. These are just a few little learning curves for me after using a Keurig for so many years. I use the the Hamilton Beach most mornings. My husband still uses the Keurig for ease of use. I will say if you like just poping in a kcup and 30 seconds later walking away with your cup of coffee. You’ll need to stick with the Keurig for that. But if you don’t mind waiting a few minutes this is a beautiful machine. And brews a very good cup of coffee.

This was one of the Most disappointing purchases. It worked well for the first thirty days. Then the buttons began to wear off. The carafe keeps the big pot of coffee super hot but the one cup brewer suddenly stopped working after 7 months of twice a day use. Now it brews just 1/3 cup of coffee. I’ve cleaned twice and still doesn’t Bree the entire cup as it’s meant to. It’s disappointing that an appliance at this price point didn’t even last a year. Like I said the carafe part doesn’t work great so I’ll likely keep the carafe for my next coffee situation so we can pour the coffee into it and keep it hot all morning.

Very Short Cord This would be at least five stars as it really makes great coffee and the price is great.What are the problems then you ask? How about the fact you have to put it where you it will fit instead of where you want to. So I deducted one and a half stars for that alone. What’s the other half *star you ask? That would be the fact that you have to continuously fill it with water and the exact amount of water that will fill the cup that the coffee will be in. That’s okay at 2 p.m. in the afternoon but definitely not okay when you first wake up in the morning. Not so much ,even though it’s irritating it makes really great coffee and the price is excellent as well.

We purchased the coffee maker August, 2023. The carafe burner turns off as soon as coffee is made. The recommended instructions are to fill the carafe with hot water and let sit for 2 minutes before starting the brew. We have tried this every time. However, the problem is the brew water never gets hot. Even the first cup of coffee is cold. We contacted Hamilton Beach by phone with only a phone message to contact Hamilton Beach by email. We sent a email several days ago and received only an automated reply. Not sure if a real person will contact us or if we will be donating this coffee maker. There is a one year limited warranty.

I was very excited to purchase this item as it offered the 2 in 1 capability of regular coffee and Kcups. I am only giving it 3 stars but frankly, I am disappointed in its performance. First, it takes a long time to brew a 10 cup pot….nearly 15 minutes. Other machines I have used took less than 7 or 8 minutes for a 12 cup machine. Second and most important, even though the carafe is metal, once the coffee is finished brewing, the machine goes off. It does not keep the coffee warm for long. In fact, after 15 minutes, the coffee is room temperature (and I do not add milk) so not pleasant to drink room temperature coffee. Third, the cup option. There is no option for cup size (small, medium and large). I use a mug. Not a huge mug, just average. I get only HALF a cup. Not very useful. I like the design, but certainly would NOT recommend or purchase again as this was NOT CHEAP.

We’ve seriously been through so many coffee makers. We jumped in the K-cup band wagon years ago and have been enjoying our single brew coffees so much but thus flex brew system had us intrigued. First I should say no matter what we paid for our previous coffee makers there was always an issue. Not with this unit!! Thus is so amazingly problem free!! No exploding k-cups and nothing but great tasting coffee. We’ve even been enjoying the drip brew coffee pot again since we can set the programmable feature and have a fresh pot of coffee waiting for us first thing in the morning. We can even use our own coffee in the single brew side by using their own specially designed K-cup refillable basket. It’s fool proof and never leaks! Highly recommend this unit!!

I love this coffee brewer! As someone who usually buys coffee everyday before work this has been a real money saver. It allows for both single serve k-cups or use of the coffee pot for more cups (up to ten cups). I ordered the brewer that comes with the steel coffee pot. After the coffee is brewed the pot doesn’t feel hot to touch on the outside but keeps the coffee warm for a few hours. I took a few minutes to read the set up instructions which are easy to follow. The timer is easy to set up and I love having my coffee ready by the time I wake up. I’ve only had it a few months and so far the brewer works great and have not had any issues with the parts. I will update this review if any issues pop up. I highly recommend it! I also purchased the gold reusable coffee filter so that I don’t have to use the paper filters and so far the coffee has tasted great.

The carafe part made good coffee but the single serve side has issues. Maybe I got a dud, but every time I tried using a Kcup it would explode and grinds went everywhere. I used the correct attachment. I tried this a couple more times and it would do the same thing. So we got this unit to replace the two coffee makers we had on the counter to save space and for the convenience which we did achieve. You are not going to be able to set it and forget it, if you want to pre-program it to brew you a cup of coffee at a set time, only the pot is programmable. This was one feature that the keurig brand machines offer and is not available on this unit, so if that is extremely important to you – do not get this machine. I love that I can program it for a pot of coffee for weekends, but during the week I only have time for one cup, especially now that I have to fill the reservoir using the cup I will be using as that dictates how much coffee you get. Normally with the keurig machine, I would fill the reservoir and set what size of a cup I want – can’t do that here, the amount of water you add to that reservoir is what you get out – so if you want to use two k-cups for a 14 oz cup, you can’t really do that easily.
All in all, this is a good machine so far but am missing some of the features I didn’t realize I’d miss so much 😉

Received the Flex-Brew with insulated carafe coffee maker a little over 2 months ago. It has worked great every day. The only problem I have noticed is that the writing on the brew/power button is almost gone. Apparently the printing is directly on the button and it is wearing off with use. They need to improving the printing technique. Other than that it makes a nice cup or pot of coffee and the insulated carafe keeps the coffee warm for quite a while.

Love this versatile coffee pot! We opted for the stainless steel pot since we dropped and broke our last pot. Not only is the stainless steel pot shatterproof, it keeps the coffee nice and hot! I like strong coffee so having the option for bold or regular is great for me! It can take K cups or grounds for the single serve side. You can use for regular size mugs or lift off the base for larger travel size mugs. Add fresh water to whatever side you are brewing, select strength and hit brew, easy peasy! Full pot brews in 11 min and k cup brewed in 1 1/2 minutes. No cons for us so far!

I bought this coffee pot when my other one went up and I like the versatility of having a carafe also a pod option as well, although it brews really nice the coffee does not come out hot I end up having to microwave my coffee also it don’t have a keep warm feature. I’ve also noticed that at the top of the stainless steel carafe it’s coming apart, as you can see in the picture. I’ve had this pot now for about 3 months and there’s no way it should come apart. Very disappointed in this particular model.

I really wanted a dual coffeemaker – my 2nd very expensive Cuisinart dual had been acting up and I didn’t want to spend that much again. I was nervous because of some negative reviews but most of them seem to be because they never read the instructions clearly. I love the stainless steel coffee pot and the fact that you can do a tall single serve. The only thing that takes getting used to is that my Cuisinart had one water reservoir – this one has 2 and I have to remember (1) to put water in for the single serve and (2) that you have to put in the correct amount spending on whether you are using a tall (travel) mug or regular. Other than that it works great, is good value for money and doesn’t look “cheap”
