   It’s great for midsize French press coffee makers and keeps the coffee hotter longer than when the carafe is bare. But…it is not designed for the larger French press carafes, which wasn’t clear from the mfg’s description.

   This does what it’s supposed to do, within reason. I put mine on after pushing down the plunger on the French press pot, so I can still see the plunger as it goes down. The cosy is opaque, of course, so you can’t see the coffee level in the pot after you put it on. The fit is perfect and the novelty of the item causes favorable comment from other French press owners who always ask where I got it, and whether or not it really works. The answer is yes, within reason. It keeps the coffee warmer than it would be without it, but no coffee stays hot for long in a French press pot, even the double-wall glass ones.

   I purchased this for the standard 8-cup Bodum French press. It is too large. In fact when it arrived the label said 12-cup. It is a bit loose and difficult to appy. The Velcro strips do no match up.
