   Easy to use and just the right size for one person who likes a big mug of coffee. It is small, will make two good size mugs at most. But since it’s just me, size is perfect. Cleans easily too. And the filter is good- not much “ sludge” left in my mug as other presses have done. Does it take longer to make a mug what with heating water and steeping for 5 min? Yes, about 3 times as long as my drip coffee maker. But the taste is worth the wait! My Starbucks coffee now tastes like I actually got it at Starbucks! Rich, earthy and full bodied- perfect! And an added bonus- it’s darned cute and looks so much better sitting on my counter than my old bulky coffee maker. Another bonus- I’m getting a clean cup of coffee! Have you ever looked inside your drip coffee maker? Like the water tank? Yuck! But try to clean it thoroughly is impossible. Too many nooks and crannies to get completely clean. Highly recommend if you need something for just one or two people.

   This is great for those who like those who like a big cup in the morning or who make coffee for others. It does a terrific job filtering out the grinds with less soot at the bottom than others I’ve used. I double or even triple the recommended coffee-to-water ratio so I’m used to having a good deal of grit at the bottom. This is usually because of a less-than-adequate filtration system and/or spacing between the filter and the glass. However, this fits snug and the filter is excellent. It comes with three total filters and it worked really well. It produces great, robust coffee that is very nutty and bold. The one con is that the wooden handle is not very durable. It actually came broken in the box, which was disconcerting. I was able to repair it, though, and so far it has held up, but I would caution against overfilling or bumping as the handle doesn’t seem as sturdy or reliable to me.

   This press looks a lot sturdier than it is. The part that looks like painted metal is plastic, and so is the lid. The press itself is a little stronger, and has a decent, tight feel. The glass is quite thin though, so you’ll want to exercise caution when setting it down, and I wouldn’t want to inadvertently tap it against something. Also, the wooden handle isn’t attached tightly at the bottom. This may be by design, but it makes the press feel less substantial. There’s a pretty big gap between the bottom of the carafe and the plunger. (see pic) At its lowest position, it’s probably around an inch of space. That’s okay if you’re making a strong serving, or even two servings. But you won’t be able to squeeze much coffee out of the coarse grounds in the bottom unless you’re using a LOT of grounds. (or as I said, making two cups) I wouldn’t mind so much about the plastic, but I was able to find a comparable press made of stainless steel for only one US dollar more. Still, it isn’t a bad buy, and it does work. Comes with two extra strainer sheets.

   It works about as well as a smaller one I have from bodum, only this one makes more coffee, which is exactly what I needed. I don’t know why I thought the outer cage that holds the glass was going to be metal, but it is plastic, which is probably for the best. There is quite a gap between the floor of the glass caraf, and the bottom of the plunger, and I do wish the plunger went down a bit lower.

   Included in the box was a couple extra rounds of mesh for replacement. It came in minimal packaging, just a thin box that was falling apart, and there was no additional padding or packaging inside the box, but the item arrived undamaged, so I guess it is pretty sturdy.

   This French press coffee maker is wonderful! It does the job and is also aesthetically pleasing to look at when on the kitchen counter. It came with all the essential parts and was a great price for the quality. I have used this about 5 times to make coffee already. I highly recommend it! Love it!

   I do not use this for coffee. I am currently using this press for herbal infusions, typically in MCT oil. I really like this press as it comes with extra filters and I can see what filtering is going on inside. Because I am not using this with anything hot, the quality of the item is perfect. I am able to strain my infusion in one usage because the size is more than needed. Overall this press is very nice for what I use it for.

   There’s spots on the inside of the press, like on the metal bit. It looks like water spots. So idk if someone used it and returned it or what. But it had all the parts and 2 extra mesh filters. I’m just gna wash it and use it but I wanted to mention it in case someone is buying it for a gift bc then you’d wanna check it first. Also I like the look of it, it will look nice on the coffee bar!

   One of the perks of this french press is the abilty to take it completely apart for cleaning. it is a standard size and comes with a few replacement screens.
   the screen works well and i didnt get any grounds in my coffee.
   The only down side is the bamboo handle, it flows with the grain and too much pressure snapped my handle. it is replaceable if you are enclined. I would say be extra gentle with the handle.
   It works exactly as you expect one to work and as a Barista, I would recommend this french press even with the fragile handle.
