   We loved the coffee maker. Brewed great coffee, stayed reasonably hot for a long time in the stainless steel carafe and was easy to program. Then we Started finding water around it on the counter. We thought it was the way we filled it or from the condensation dripping off the lid when we opened it, letting it dry. Turns out the unit was leaking. We now have a puddle of water every morning. Cuisinart will not do anything to help with a repair, only suggested we buy a new one. This is a safety hazard with no recall notice and they won’t replace it. Horrible customer service. Not buying their products again.

   Difficult to tell how much coffee is still in the pot, as the weight difference is hard to judge. Naturally you cannot see it anymore. Worst, the hot plate shuts off when the coffee is finished brewing. The insulation does not keep the coffee hot. This is the reason they say to first put hot water into the pot to pre heat it. That does not work if you work with the programming. Terrible design.

   The hot plate turns off when coffee is finished brewing so of course it doesn’t stay hot. Not sure why they named it PerfecTemp. My husband and I are on two different schedules so my coffee is always cold. All of my other Cuisinart coffee pots had an option for how long to keep the hot plate on. Not this one. Poor design.
