   I am returning mine. Instructions on how to use this machine are worthless. We put water in, as instructed, 3 pitcher fulls, and the water never came out! We tried twice. We’re only going to be using it once a week, on Sundays since we’re a portable church, but we need something more reliable. Plus, when we cut off the straps that were around the box, didn’t realize the bottom of the box would drop off!

   Works perfectly and makes excellent coffee. Seems a very well made device. A couple of caveats:

   1. The cardboard box in which it came was flimsty and just starting to come apart at the seams by the I received it (UPS).

   2. The instructions for how to set up the coffee maker were for another and smaller machine. Furthermore, there were absolutely no instructions on how to use it — I had to go their web site to find that. Even then, those instructions were for another, smaller, coffee brewer.

   Curtis has been trying to sell themselves as the supplier of a premium product. That is true, but they need to clean up their act when it comes to getting their products into the hands of users.

   This was supposed to be a brewer that did not require plumbing. I was opening a coffee shop and received this item late then noticed it had to be plumbed the night before the opening! I have ordered another one and I am waiting to see if it is the right one. This is frustrating!

   The only issue I have with this is that after the tank is full and warmed up it is hard to get just the right amount of water in to fill the pot. It doesn’t dispense just the correct amount of water, you have to baby sit it and make sure it doesn’t over fill or under fill. I use the plastic pitcher Curtis supplies, but it is to small and additional water is needed to make a full pot, that sometimes is hard to get exactly correct.

   Excellent commercial coffee brewer! It takes 15-20 minutes to warm up the chamber for brewing when plugged in for the first time each morning and there after with the rapid-recovery heating element, it will brew 2.2 L of coffee FLAT OUT in 3 minutes, batch after batch by refilling it. Curtis included a refill pitcher with this system. It uses CR-10 coffee paper filter size (not included). I’m using this for my coffee business which was referred to me by the Curtis regional sales rep. . As the previous reviewer has stated, instructions were not as clear cut but I was able to figure it out myself.
