The good: Works great for roasting green coffee beans on a propane burner. You just need to adjust your flame and rotation speed. I use about 20 oz., and it takes around 20 minutes. I really like the viewing window on the end of the unit as well. The roaster is simple and well made. The bad: The vent slots are on the flat sides which releases a lot of chaff when roasting, very messy. The door latch works well but is a bit tricky to pull back when hot, I use pliers. The ugly: The small bolts and nuts can work loose and mix into the beans. This destroyed my burr grinder. This is a serious issue. Overall, with some design changes, this would be a great roaster. For coffee roasting I give it 5 stars, but the design flaws make for one star.
