   I have owned a number of espresso makers in the last couple of decades and this is by far the worst. By the second month, it began to take longer and longer to made a mere double espresso–twenty to thirty minutes! Then it began to spray bits of coffee in front of the coffee maker. I contacted customer service twice, had even bought an extended warranty but they wanted me to pay for shipping. I find this inexcusable, not a way to win or retain customers. Such a disappointment! Would avoid this like covid.

   I bought this Brentwood espresso maker for $32 in 2020, and it lasted two years before failing. I really enjoyed the single cups of coffee/espresso it made, espeically with the right ground coffee. I might buy it again, but a little bummed that the price has more than doubled. Still not a bad value considering the price of other machines.

   Makes a great espresso. Easy to find additional compatible pod cups. I like Hugo brand. Perfect for home and small enough to take for a weekend.

   Purchased as a Christmas gift. It wouldn’t turn off so I contacted the manufacturer and had to pay an additional $20 for a new unit. The new unit just makes steam and only half a carafe of coffee. Customer Service refuses to do anything, saying they honored their warranty.
