Carafe glass (pitcher) was broken when it arrived and coffeemakers.us.com replaced it in a single day — thank you coffeemakers.us.com!
Had a previous version (Toastmaster 5-cup) and it lasted no less than 15 years making coffee day-in, day out! I hope this one lasts just as long!

I was out of the country and my AIRBNB guest broke the carafe from my prior one, so I ordered this coffee maker when it got there my sister opened it and it was a used coffee maker with grounds still in it. I had her go to a store and pick up one for the guests, I didn’t even bother with it, but thought it odd.

Don’t fill the reservoir to the top, fill at the 5 cup line on the pot. Then it won’t over flow. The basket is absolutely removable. I had absolutely no spillage when pouring. The wait time for 5 cups to make was 5 minutes. It’s the perfect size for 1 person. However, I do think it should not be more than 15 to 20 dollars including shipping. I have not been compensated for this review. I bought this pot from Facebook Market place.

Followed the instructions and washed carafe out with warm soapy water, rinsed it well and it was completely dry. Filled the reservoir with 5 cups of cool water, as per instructions. At the end of the brewing cycle, we heard a very loud ‘snap’, similar sound to a ciruit breaker tripping. After turning the machine off, letting it cool down for 20 minutes, I examined the carafe and it had a line of brown discoloration along the bottom ridge (like it had been burned). There was no tripped breaker, because the on/off light still lit up when pushed. I decided to try and run another cool water cycle through, got it all set up, pushed the ‘on’ switch (which lit up) but . . . nothing happened. It’s like that ‘snap’ we heard blew the brewing motor completely. Very disappointed.

I disliked everything about it. It’s very difficult to use and lends itself to frequent spill overs due to its difficulties to use. I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy:(

So. When placing in filter it bent over and coffee grains were in my coffee. I just cut the filter to where it would collapse in. I really this coffee maker because it is small and makes what I need. Dont know if I have to buy small filter never had a coffee pot before.
