   I got this as short notice replacement because I dropped my DAVIDs Tea tea press and broke it. Its pretty much the same french press design but slightly smaller and has a steel inner tube instead of hard plastic. I dont really like the spacing between the mouth lip and the lock button to close the gap. Have to turn it at angle for a better sip. The spacing between the inner tube and actual container is very small. It slides in and out easily, the issue is that because of such tight spacing you are going to spill some leftover water as you pull the inner tube out. An issue I did not have with my previous tea press from DAVID’s Tea. Small but annoyances still. If pulling the tube out didn’t pull leftover water out, a better mouth to sip with and perhaps just a big bigger I would absolutely love this even if it was available as a more expensive larger option.

   I initially bought this to take on trips, as we regularly stay in a hotel with no coffee maker in the room. At any rate, this cup press has now become my every day coffee maker! The taste is so good of the coffee that I quit making a daily pot at home and just use this instead. The coffee stays really hot in the cup and is easy to clean. I’ve been using for 3months straight and I’m ready to pack the coffee maker away for good!

   I took a picture of the size of the space available for coffee, if you put 2 spoon of grinded coffee the press cylinder can’t go all the way, so it’s impossible to put the cap. I gave 4 stars because I can’t have portable coffee, nevertheless I drink coffee at my work, then clean the travel french press and it’s not the worse product, at least it’s easy to clean.

   Great little travel press, and maybe 3 stars is a little harsh…but 40.00 is a lot of money to me. For that much, I would expect more than just a thin cardboard box as packaging. As a result, the press was damaged in transit. It looked like a gorilla tore the box open, as one of the flaps was completely ripped off, and the little plastic arch above the button got chipped. Thankfully it doesn’t affect the operation of the press. How about some micro-bubble wrap next time?

   I love this device SO much, lost my first one and had to buy another of this brand specifically. It’s so convenient to be able to make my own tea whenever I want, wherever I am. I am an avid tea drinker and find it frustrating to find quality tea when traveling, so I bring my own. And this handy press travel mug makes the experience so much more exciting because it’s so easy to use, easy to clean and easy to store. The beverage stays hot for a really long time inside the insulated canister, there’s never any tea or grinds inside the filter and it’s always so delicious to the last drop. The style of the press is slender and lightweight, it can fit comfortably inside a cup holder, doesn’t leak or spill and the spout makes it easy to drink without burning yourself. This combined with my portable hot water kettle I can enjoy a few cups of my favorite tea blend from anywhere in the world!

    It makes good coffee but you cant enjoy it. It’s annoying to get to drink the coffee the latch is in the way of the sipping lid. You will need a another cup to pour out the coffee into in order to enjoy your coffee.

    This product is beautiful, utilitarian and keeps my tea consistently hot throughout the day! One thing I would note is that the tea strainer should be tapped down very lightly, but other than that it’s wonderful!

    Love the idea. And it is very easy to use. I thought I was going to burn my self or something and I am a klutz, but I have been using this for 2-3 weeks and it’s great! The only problem is the open close notch which sits right in front of the cup. I think it would be better if it was on the side of the cup. But that’s it! I will by another.

    Being an Air Force veteran and avid hiker/camper I’m used to having subpar coffee in the field/woods, but I just suck it up and make the best of it. Well, not anymore. This coffee press is amazing. I toured Europe while being stationed at RAF Mildenhall so I got to experience real coffee, including espresso in France and Italy. So, at home I’m used to drinking the good stuff. When I saw this press, I had to give it a try. I use a burr grinder to grind the beans and seal them in an air locked bag for backpacking. The press is light and durable and kept the coffee perfectly hot. The press did its thing and even with an espresso grind (very fine) no grains got into the drinking area. Simply put, if you want a great cup of coffee or tea while roughing it, you cant get any better than this press.
