   I’m obsessed with cold brew coffee, but I’m getting tired of spending $5 on a cup of it every day. So I was interested in trying this out to see if I could possibly make cold brew myself. Let me just say, this pitcher/maker did not disappoint! All you do is fill it with water, put coffee grounds in the center diffuser and then let it sit for 12-24 hours in the fridge. This pitcher makes enough coffee to last the week, depending on how much coffee you drink per day. Prepare it, then for a couple days all you have to do is pour it into a cup over ice, add some creamer and sugar if you’d like and you’re good to go. No extra fuss on a daily basis! If you’re a lover of cold brew and you’re also tired of throwing away money, get this. It’s wonderful. The only complaint I have is cleaning is a pain. Everything comes apart easily and is easy to clean; except for the handle around the glass pitcher. I believe it is removable but I haven’t taken that apart just yet (I don’t see the need), but water and soap will get between the handle and glass. It’ll dry overtime but I don’t want soap scum or anything building up. So I rinsed it several times to make sure there wasn’t any soap stuck around the edges. That’s the reason I took off a star.

   The Miocaro Cold Brew Coffee/Teapot is a great container to make any type of filter beverage in. I tested out my pot to make both ice coffees and iced teas with good results. The pot is solidly made and is easily disassembled for cleaning. The filter of the pot is fine enough so most grounds won’t filter through, although so dust sediment may go through the bottom holes – this is unavoidable on most pots and this one does about as good as other cold brew pots I’ve used. I personally like the completely closed off bottom type mesh strainer that are on most French Press coffee brewers a bit more. This brewer also doesn’t have a press to stop the brewing processing, nor does it have a handle on the inside to easily remove the strainer. This was slightly irritating to me as I sometimes like to remove the strainer for some teas I make. The filter works well enough to make a good cold brew coffee/tea – like most brews, the longer you leave it the better the flavor. As far as cleaning the unit goes, the bottom ring can be removed so you can get the entire underside of the pot washed, but the upper ring cannot be removed to wash under the top rim. Because the silicone ring is glued down at the top of the glass pot, the upper ring cannot be removed, so spotting and water can get trapped under the upper ring. This isn’t a huge issue, but definitely could be improved on. The pot cannot be sealed completely so it doesn’t pour/allow dust to get in. This is also a small flaw that I wish could’ve been addressed, but again it’s not a huge deal – if you’re really nit picky, you can always cover the top with a piece of foil or Saran Wrap. Overall, this is a decent cold brew maker that’s worth trying out. It’s well made, looks cute, and definitely gets the job done.

   This is a great cold brew pitcher except for one thing. The pour spout has no cover (it’s just a wide open slot in the plastic lid) so your coffee, tea, or other liquid is in the open air in your fridge and can absorb other odors, etc. I love that this is glass. I love how it looks, how it’s easy to grip, and how it’s easy to clean. I don’t love that fridge air or any air can come and go as it pleases in and out of the pitcher. I’m sure some people don’t care about this and for that, I’m giving this four stars. For me personally, I would lean more towards three stars because an open lid just seems like sloppy design oversight. Other cons: The glass is relatively thin and could break easily if dropped without the rubber bottom (which is removable for washing). The seals aren’t super thick and will wear out over time and are also susceptible to not seating correctly over time. The plastic lid pieces are somewhat cheap and don’t screw that securely. But as a basic pitcher, this works.

   This works very well. It’s easy to use. You just dump some coffee in the middle section add water and leave it in the fridge. I did notice that the ground coffee does deep through the holes. Not much- but I did notice it. I think the flavor just depends on the coffee used!

   this is the best of the 3 we’ve tried. this is the simplest easiest, probably need make coffee every 3 days or so, but so easy to handle and so much easier to wash than mason jar, nothing to break or leak, forget all the fancy ones, this is simple direct, fits in fridge, not huge, but what we’ve done is grind double the quantity of beans and make the coffee two days in a row, then we have it for over a week. easiest simplest make so far. great that it’s solid borosilicate as our mason jar cracked and our fancy maker with dispenser started leaking. nothing to break down here!

    Really awesome design with one major flaw… the seal. I was washing the container and screwed off the middle part. I went to grab the white seal and it ripped. I thought it was detachable but sadly it is not. Mold build up happens over time and you have to be able to clean under the seal.

    All that this company needs to do is create a detachable seal, I had to return my product, sadly. Like I said it is a great design just has a design flaw. Once the seal is damaged on this item you will have a messy pour, watch out. Leaks out of the seam.

    I have a Hario Cold Brew pitcher but it’s so tall, makes me nervous it’s gonna break. May or may not be fair to compare Miocaro’s version to Hario but, that’s my experience. If you want good cold brew, you may want to read this. Miocaro’s pitcher has a nice shape & ease of handing. It would be great for loose leaf tea or to strain juice. However, as a cold brew option, maybe not. The main difference between Hario & Miocaro is the filter. Hario has a micro fine, mesh, perma filter that really filters out fine particles. Miocaro has a metal filter & the holes are small but not fine so, your ground must be coarse. With Hario a store bought medium ground works. The other difference is, the Hario says it’s done in 8 hours, which it is. The Miocaro says you should brew 12 hours. I did. It was bitter. Btw, used the exact same coffee ( an Organic Peruvian), that I ground myself, in both pots. The Miocaro did better at 8-10 hours. I’ve accidentally forgot about my Hario & gone 14 hours & it was still smooth as silk. It’s just sooo good. Miocaro’s larger strainer holes do make for a quicker run through with the water. You can pour water in & it goes straight through. Hario must be stirred to wet the ground & drips like a regular hot coffee pot so, takes bout 6 min. The Miocaro has been great for my juicer blends that need pulp strained through. Saves me a huge amount of time & it’s a good glass container with BPA free plastic handle. While I do prefer Dunkin Donuts, Starbucks has mastered Cold Brew & that’s the level I’m striving for. Miocaro is respectable. Just tastes more like iced coffee vs cold brew. My Hario with Spring water is oh so close to the Starbucks cold brew holy grail. So I guess it depends what you’re looking for. Hope this helps.

Most individualized parts have smooth surfaces especially the jug/container that holds the liquid. Sealed twist on cap. No need to worry about leaking from the top aside from the spout area Very clean look. Transparent so can see contents inside the entire time Handle is plastic, wish it had some padding. Has a nice curved finger groove though. Overall, very good infuser to make beverages in bulk. Depending how fine course your coffee is must wait and pour to get all the water through.

    So far I have 0 c complaints about this cold brew maker. This is much easier to use then a previous drip one I had. The glass is nice & thick. The top can be unscrewed (it arrives off) to make cleaning very easy. The bottom is made of rubber so it does not slide around. The center diffuser where you place your coffee grounds, tea or whatever you want to brew seems well made. The holes are very small to keep out all but the ground dust particles out of your water. Cold brew can taste milder then hot brewed coffee. In my case I will make a pot of cold brew over night or 24 hours (the longer the steep the deeper or stronger the brew). If I would rather hot coffee, I can just pour a cup & place in the microwave. This makes a nice smooth tasting cup of java.

    I love this infuser cooler. I use it to infuse fruit overnight. In the morning I empty the fruit out of the stainless still cup. You can leave the cup in or out. The lid that covers it locks into place. You have to be careful when pouring or it will flow through the outer rim and not just the spout. The one thing I don’t like is how the large lid rim is covered in openings so when it’s in the fridge there is no way to completely cut off the air flow into the container. Usually with pitchers that have a lid and spout there is only one or two openings and the rest of the rim is solid. I added a photo to explain what I mean because it’s hard to explain. I love that this is made of glass and stainless steel as healthy materials. The plastic handle is really sturdy. I like that it can be used for many things- fruit infused water, tea, coffee. I want another one to go with it to have more drink options. I love it and recommend it to anyone.

    Warmth? This is a topic for a review on an iced coffee maker you brew in the fridge? I didn’t answer that one.

    BUT….I’m on my third brewer now. The first two were another brand I purchased twice having liked it. Boy was I wrong when I started using this! I really love this guy (or girl). The market for your beans is metal and not the mesh I had with my previous two. SO much easier to clean! I think that’s why the mesh broke on my first two, from trying to clean them so much. You really can’t go wrong here. Dump beans out, rinse out any remaining beans and stick it in the dishwasher. As for how much it actually makes I guess that depends on how if of a glass you use, but I can usually get 4 decent sized glasses out of it but I use milk and flavored syrup and a couple cubes, so if I’m using a 16-24 oz I can get 4 servings out, but if you don’t use ice, or as much milk or any syrup you will certainly have less. Maybe 3 large? Either way, it’s a great little unit and I’m thrilled with this purchase!

    This product does not come with an instruction manual or anything telling you how to use it. It’s merely a carafe with a lid. It’s horribly disappointing. Am returning this and trying to find another one. I don’t recommend anyone buy this.

    Cold brew glass pitcher. This is a smaller cold brewer. We have 3 other cold brew systems and we use all 3 daily. This cold brew pitcher is a glass pitcher with a metal strainer coffee basket infuser the lid is plastic. It holds a total of about 50 ounces of cold brew. The brewer is nice and really easy to use. This cold brew system takes a little longer to infuse the water with the coffee due to the small holes in the solid metal coffee holder. We have 3 other ones that infuse 65 ounces in 6hrs or less this cold brewer takes more along the lines of 12hrs for a decent cold brew to be made. You just fill the pitcher with water then fill the basket with coffee screw it into the water and put it in the fridge. It’s really just that simple. Cold brew coffee is 60% less acidic than traditional hot coffee. This kind of coffee is much better for people with stomach and acid issues. Good sturdy cold brew system.

    This cold coffee brewer is great. I love the taste of cold coffee but I hate paying for it at a coffee shop since it’s so expensive. I’ve made it myself in the past using the pitcher and loose grounds method but it’s so tedious to strain. This brewer totally takes away the need to strain and while the filter is a bit annoying to clean, it’s worth it considering how much money it saves to make it yourself. This product did not come with any instructions, I found that strange and a little annoying. I ended up finding directions for a similar style brewer and adapting them for my needs. Using this brewer what you are actually making isn’t cold coffee, it’s coffee concentrate. To make it you combine 4 tablespoons of coffee grounds with 1 cup of water. 1. Fill the pitcher with water, leaving room for the filter and grounds. 2. Place your coffee grounds in the metal filter (you can use any type of grounds, but I prefer course grounds as they are less likely to slip through the filter). 3. Place the filter back into the pitcher and put the cover on. 4. Put the whole pitcher in the fridge at least overnight, longer if you can. 5. Be sure to pick up the pitcher and swish it around a couple of times to get the best flavor. 6. Your coffee concentrate is ready and you can dilute it how you wish. This brewer is made of high quality glass, I don’t have any fears about the design. The handle, once you’ve screwed it on successfully, which can be a little tricky, is secure and I don’t worry about it snapping even when the pitcher is full. The fine mesh filter is fine enough that I don’t worry about my grounds coming through it at all. Probably my favorite part of the whole design is the non-slip base. When you have to screw the top on or remove the filter, it’s nice to know you’re not going to have a glass pitcher sliding around on your countertop. My only complaints, and they’re minor, is that the pitcher itself never fully seals and the filter is a pain to clean. The pour spout is always exposed and there is no way to seal it. The cover protects most of the top of the pitcher, but the spout leaves the ability for spills, or my bigger concern, absorbing smells and flavors while in the fridge. Cold coffee is able to stay in the fridge for up to two weeks so I would like to have the ability to cover it so it isn’t exposed to anything else that might have a scent. The filter is a little annoying to clean. It’s hard to get all of the grounds out of it completely and considering how bad it is for plumbing to put coffee grounds down the drain, I wish it were a bit easier. With that being said, it’s a lot easier to clean than straining every individual glass of the stuff which is what you have to do when you use the pitcher and loose grounds method, so I’d rather clean this filter. Overall, I would highly recommend this brewer. It’s high quality, the design is classy and easy to use, and it saves me money compared to paying for cold brew.

    This pitcher makes making cold brew coffee a cinch. I wish the inside could be cleaned a bit easier, but my biggest complaint is that the lid is not airtight. There is a gap between the lid and mouth for pouring where air can enter the coffee. If that design flaw was fixed, this would be a perfect 4-cup cold brew pitcher.
