   I have been wanting to buy a Keurig for a long time. I put it off because I thought my plain coffee maker would do. I recently visited a friend who had a Keurig. While staying at my friend’s home, I loved the quality of the coffee taste and the quick and easy, no hassle nature of the Keurig! I knew I had to get one. My friend had the newest model, one that makes pots of coffee or cups and anything in between. I was not sure at first which Keurig I wanted. I felt like there were too many options. I finally settled on the K15 and it has been perfect for my husband and I. My reasoning for going with the K15 was that most of the time my husband and I want different coffees, and neither of us ever need an entire pot. If in the rare occurance we decide we want two cups, to fill up our larger mugs, it is as simple as making two cups with the K15 and pouring them into a larger mug. It works so fast and easy, that it isn’t a big deal to do that. We love how easy it is to use, and clean up. I also like that I can make my favorite coffee and my husband can have his! I love all the options out there, for this Keurig, and most of the time the flavor of coffee really taste just as good or better than they do with my regular old coffee maker! I purchased the white one, it looks really nice, and it has a shiny, clean appearance.

   Purchased this mini Keurig for my office & the machine didn’t last one month. Out of the blue, it completely stopped working & the machine would no longer brew a simple cup of coffee. When I would try & brew a cup of coffee, only about 1/4 of the water I actually put in the reservoir would come out. I tried to return it, but it was past the return period online. I tried to put a claim in with the warranty company (Square Trade…or something along those lines) & they referred me to Keurig itself. I emailed Keurig & I’ve never heard back. This was the biggest waste of money! Don’t buy! To make it even worse, the water reservoir area began to rust on the inside.

   Okay, I initially really loved this machine. Sure, it seemed loud and odd sounding, but I figured I could overlook that for the novelty and convenience that is Keurig. Over the last few months however, I have gown from looking forward to brewing a nice cup ‘o joe, and playful experimenting with all the super cool fun and fancy flavors, to being annoyed at the 50/50 chance of flooding water all over my kitchen counter. Almost none of the cups are full anymore, and wherein the option of a mostly full cup is typically better than nothing, a less than half full cup is just a flat out disappointment. 🙁 This morning had the sudden realization as I trekked to the kitchen that the idea of dealing with this machine was actually causing me more stress than it’s worth. Today, for the first time, I actually decided to skip coffee at home and just pick something up on the way to work. Sigh…. I was really really hoping this would work out.

   My wife and I drink a lot of coffee so we ended up with 4 different K-Cup coffee makers. I have posted a comparison review of the 4 on both the Mr. Coffee SC100 and the Proctor Silex 49969 coffeemakers.us.com product pages. Rather than repeat the same review here, which you can access by looking at those pages, I’ll just make a few statements on the Kuerig K10 here. Price $77.87 Weight 8# Cord length 36″ Dimensions 11″h X 8″w X 11″d Avg rating 4.1 stars (778 reviews) We bought this unit over a year ago to use in our guest room. It hasn’t had any hiccups, has been completely dependable, and is very easy to use. One of the main things I pointed out when comparing the taste generated by these 4 coffee makers tested was that they all made coffee that tasted virtually the same. This is not a surprise since each machine simply directs hot water through the same brand of K-Cup. At 8.8# this model is the second heaviest of the 4 units and the height when the top is open extends from 11″ to 13″. This was the second largest of the 4 units I tested and the 36″ cord allows quite a bit of flexibility as far as where to place it. This machine only holds enough water to make one cup at a time and no clean-up is necessary. However, be careful to only put in the amount of water that will fit in your coffee cup. This machine will heat and process all of the water in the tank and overfilling the reservoir will result in a hot coffee mess for you to clean up. This is a well-built unit and is easy to use, but the old Kuerig K40 at around $80.00 provides more flexibility as far as features and has been dependable for us over the past 4-5 years. This unit is pictured below as the second unit from your right.

    Works well for single cup brewing. Because there is no water reservoir, you need to wait longer for the water to heat and the coffee to brew. One problem is that if you “overfill” it at all, the excess water comes out the bottom! Unfortunately, there is no clear line that shows the upper limit, just these weird plastic disc markings in the water tank. I wish it would brew a larger cup and has an easier to see the maximum fill line. Otherwise, it works fine and, once you learn (the hard way) how much water to put in, it’s good. I would probably buy it again.

    I purchased the Keurig K15 Single-Serve Coffee Maker Holiday Bundle through coffeemakers.us.com Warehouse Deals and I am extremely happy with my purchase. I previously owned the larger Keurig K55, but after I retired, I had time to go out and buy coffee whenever I wanted it, so I gave my Keurig K55 to my daughter and son-in-law. However, I started to miss my Keurig. After doing some research, I decided to try the Keurig K15 Single Serve Coffee Maker. While comparing prices,I discovered the holiday bundle, which included the K15 coffee maker in Chili Red, a 12 oz travel mug, two packages of 18 K-cup pods (36 K-cup pods total), and a K-cup storage drawer…all of this for only $63.20 on coffeemakers.us.com Warehouse Deals. I needed all of the items in the holiday bundle so this was an incredible deal for me. The accessories would have cost me around $40.00 total if purchased separately. The coffeemakers.us.com Warehouse description indicated cosmetic damage to the top–but I didn’t see any damage at all to the coffee maker–I even looked under the top. The exterior box was damaged on the top, but the coffee maker was in new condition. I followed the enclosed instructions and performed an initial cleansing of my coffee maker prior to brewing my first cup of coffee. I then brewed my first cup of coffee. It was delicious…much better than the coffee I’d been purchasing! The 12 oz travel mug that comes with the holiday bundle fits perfectly when you remove the drip tray. My old, 16 oz, travel mug was too tall, so I’m really glad the 12 oz travel mug was part of the bundle. The coffee maker is very easy to operate and it is the perfect size for me. I love the pop of color the Chili Red unit provides sitting on top of it’s black the storage drawer. Speaking of the storage drawer, the drawer was secured during shipment with packing tape…and the tape left a lot of residue when I removed it. I was able to remove the residue using peanut butter and a lot of elbow grease. In hind sight, I should have warmed up the tape with a hair dryer and removed it slowly. I noticed other reviewers mentioning that although their box indicated their unit was a K15, the model number on the bottom of the unit indicated it was a K10. My unit also indicates it’s a K10, but the packaging indicates it’s a K15. I checked the serial number on Keurig’s website and my unit isn’t one of the K10 recalled units. I then e-mailed Keurig to ask why the packaging didn’t match the model number of the unit and received the following response: “Thanks for contacting us! There is no difference in features or functionality between the Keurig®K10 MINI Plus Brewer and the Keurig®K15 brewer, which is why the brewer certification on the bottom of the brewer still refers to the brewer as the K10 model. However, we recently introduced comprehensive packaging updates for this brewer, and because of this we needed to update the model number on the gift box. We hope this helps. We are always just a phone call or mouse click away; please don’t hesitate to reach out!” Currently, coffeemakers.us.com’s stock photos of the holiday bundle only has one stock photo of the unit in Chili Red…and that is the photo showing the unit with the holiday bundle accessories. The color of the unit in the rest of the stock photos is a darker red color, not the Chili Red color. Because of the color discrepancy in the photos, I wasn’t sure which color of red I would be receiving. I’ve included two stock photos of the unit in Chili Red for comparison. Hopefully coffeemakers.us.com will update their photos. The Keurig K15 Coffee Maker comes with a one-year manufacturer warranty.

    So this has been out for some time now. And I did not buy mine new. I actually got mine used at a yard sale for a few dollars. But I have had no problems with mine at all. Which is good, seeing as it’s an older model and the previous owners have used it who knows how many times. I love how it takes less than a minute to make a full cup of coffee! I figured I would just leave my honest feedback incase someone was still wondering about buying this. I have had no negative experiences with mine like some people mentioned.

    It’s a great little coffee brewer. Carry it in a small cooler bag (from Canadian Tire) when we go away. Nice to have a coffee first thing in the morning without having to wait for it to be brought to you or go down to dining room to get one at hotels. Much better coffee than what is supplied in hotel rooms. Only Takes about 3 minutes to brew a cup.

    Love it so far. Coffee comes out very hot and brews in about 2 minutes. Brews a nice cup of coffee and you can adjust taste by altering the water level. I have been using my own coffee with a reusable K Cup so I just adjust the amount of coffee and always brew at the 8 ounce water level. Note that most of the taller travel mugs will not fit even if you remove the drip tray but not a big deal for me so no points off. We brew a pot of coffee on weekends so this item is really for other times when we just need a cup or two of coffee. We also like that you can leave the lid open for a little while and everything dries right up with no worries about the stored water getting stagnant. Also works great to brew your own tea with bags. We drop in the bag and just brew the hot water and a little while later go over and it is ready. Good for people who don’t want to get up off the couch to pour hot water over a tea bag and sit around in the kitchen waiting for it to stew. 🙂

    I’d like to give it zero stars because it is unusable after owning it less than 2 years and only using it seasonably at our condo. When brewing, the brewer “nozzle” makes an enormous hole in the top of the pod. As a result, coffee grounds go everywhere: back into the nozzle, all over the “inards” and especially into the coffee. The brewer has been properly maintained, cleaned and descaled. All parts appear stable yet instead of pricking a hole into the top of the K-cup, it creates a large hole. I am looking into how to contact the seller: The Home Shopping Concierge. I’ve also contacted Keurig.
