   This item arrived damaged. Take a good look at the box containing the coffee maker. This box was inside a big coffeemakers.us.com brown shipping box. The outside box was not damaged so how did the inside box got so damaged? I like Kcups and was looking forward to using this item but I had no other choice but immediately return it for a refund and will shop for something else ASAP.

   This is my 2nd Keurig and best one for the price. It’s easy to use and I recommend. I also think it’s best to use Keurig brand coffee k pods. The ones not in the cup (smaller) aren’t always compatible.

   Been drinking instant for a long time. Finally gave in tot he K-Pod thing. This unit is compact and works great! Refilling the reservoir can get a bit tiring, but that’s part of getting the compact version as it does not refill from a source, which in my case is just fine because the water here tastes like cough syrup.

   This Keurig is priced very reasonably and works just fine as long as you read the small print. With its height just under 12 inches, it fits nicely on the kitchen counter. Even with the lid up, it stands clear from the upper cabinets. Things can get slightly complicated if you place a drawer under it. This is the smallest brewer from the Keurig line with a reservoir out back. The auto shutoff comes very handy at times. I just love it when things shut off on their own. Now on to the small print. You think coffee is always made by brewing? Well, there’s brewing and there’s pod brewing. To add to the confusion, the K-compact belongs to the latter category. That is, it’s a Pod brewer and uses K-cup Pods for its mission. The K-cup pods are genetically different from K-cups and produce less waste, therefore are environmentally friendly. The problem is, you can’t mix them. Should you go ahead and mix them anyway, you’ll end up with a mess on your hands. This is just the matter of a compatibility. It’s like Windows and Mac. To help with the confusion, I would have called them K-cups and K-pods, respectively. That is, if you ask me. Overall I love my new K-compact Keurig and recommend it to anyone without reservations.    My mom loves this coffee maker! She’s 88 yrs. old, in assisted living, and has always drank quality. She doesn’t have much counter space so this works perfect for her to make a cup at a time and not take up much room.

   First, it brews fast. I really like that. The per-cup measurements are accurate. Want 10 ounces, get 10 ounces. And you get three cups. I like that. EASY to fill. So the things you want in a basic coffeemaker are here. Note: it is larger than I expected. That’s not a problem for me, but if you are looking for one of those, the 6-inch very narrow ones, this is not it. Those are about 6-1/2 index wide. This is 9 and 12 deep. Because of the name, I was surprised when I unpacked it. Just be aware.

   So why not 5 stars? It took nearly 2 weeks to get here from this seller. But I had ordered it from a different seller who kept saying it was being delivered and finally said it was lost–after 4 weeks. I don’t know where these pots come from, but I think coffeemakers.us.com should keep a supply of them for fast delivery, at least for Prime customers. coffeemakers.us.com did refund my money for the lost pot. And I chose to order this model again–only because of that 3-cup feature.. I couldn’t find it in stores. So it took 2 sellers and nearly 6 weeks, but i really like it.
   I’ve had it for a few weeks, and it’s going strong. If it breaks, I will let you know.

   I’m a big coffee and tea drinker but I have a pretty small place. This was great for saving counter space but still getting my morning coffee. If you live alone or with one other person this is perfect. You would definitely need something bigger if there are a lot of coffee drinkers in your house.

    My only complaint is that the maximum it fills is 10 ounces. I didn’t realize how little 10 ounces was until I used my Fiesta mug and the coffee only came half way up. I like to fill a travel mug and sip for at least an hour. At the max setting, this machine will only give you a cup that lasts a few minutes. But the coffee does taste great. Obviously, that also depends on the brand of coffee you use.
