I’ve had this long enough now to really start to dial it in for optimal tasty caffeine delivery. 9g coffee per cup (mind you, Oxo specifies a cup as 5oz) is the sweet spot. It works great on both settings so you can get a perfect mug or carafe of joe at a perfect temperature. As a bonus, Oxo provides a generous amount of filters for both settings.

It’s built well and simply with fewer potential points of failure compared to most competitors. Nothing leaks. The water tank is solid and mesmerizing to watch as h2o is siphoned up the tube. I haven’t taken a stop watch to it, but I feel like it gets the job done in under 5 minutes with minimal noise.

After about a month of use, the coffee maker started brewing luke warm water. About 50% of the time the water was luke warm/room temperature. We ended up returning it. Not sure if it was just defective but have seen other reviews mentioning the same thing.
