   Apparently, it has a few helpful features that make a difference: more plastic over glass body (my IKEA’s press broke by touching the stone kitchen counter), the lid locks to avoid falling, large body, etc.

   After 2 weeks of daily use, a small plastic piece broke from the mechanism in the spout of this device. Missing this small plastic piece renders the French Press useless. When pouring and depressing the lever, no coffee comes out since the rubber seal remains in place. Why is this product designed in such a convoluted way? Way too many moving parts for a French Press.

   I got this for my husband for Christmas since I don’t look be the way the Keurig coffee tastes. I wasn’t too sure if we would use it a lot since it does take longer to make. The difference in taste is worth the wait. This is easy to clean and nice the outer part is sealed to the glass there are no noocks and crannies to get it clean. The size for two large cups is a little small but great for a starter or one person/normal sized coffee cup couple.

   so, i stupidly tried to dump the grounds out into the trashcan without holding onto the glass, and it slipped out of the plastic and broke. akso, the lid broke last week. where the spout is, the lift gate hatch spring thingy snapped off… bought in april. trash in july

   Got this French press for weekend coffee and have used it at most 10 times. As I poured coffee in it this morning I roasted the glass part a bit and it just snapped a large chunk off. The glass is very thin and brittle, I recommend buying a better quality one.

   I removed this from the hard black plastic container and accidentally dropped the glass part in my sink before using it. It probably fell 6-9 inches into my metal sink. It could have shattered, but luckily it was fine. Other people spend more on a coffee press, but I’ve had no issues with this one.

   According to the instructions, I’m supposed to tap on the bottom of the pitcher to get the hot coffee grounds out of it. I’ve had this thing for 2 weeks, and the bottom broke out.
