   I previously owned a Melitta coffee maker & it recently died after 32 years of use. I thought about buying a model that offered more options, but it is hard to buy another after 32 years of service. So while I wanted a coffee maker that would go into a thermos, I decided to buy this maker & buy a stand alone thermos. Best of both worlds!

   I am very particular about my coffee. I grind my own beans & I think my Melitta brews wonderful coffee

   NOT RIGHT, POOR LENGTH of brew nozzle. Redesigned nozzle by cutting/extending; WAY above/beyond .. for this coffee geek NO INTEREST, ASSIST FROM MFG.. VERY unsettling since experience with previous Gevalia/Melitta BCM-4CB was such the expert brewer.

   As expected. Only tiny problem is dribbling around the wide mouth. Fortunately, my carafe from (annually) defunct Mr. Coffee works with this as well, with less dribbling. But really, not a very big problem. Very happy to have a coffee maker that can brew a good cup of coffee, not just fast and weak coffee like most of them here. Also stainless does not pick up fingerprints quickly as I’d feared.

   The coffee tastes off in this coffee maker. No it isn’t the coffee either. I am trying out different coffee makers. And I wished I would have just kept the first one I ordered but it was to big for one person. I am returning this one, bc for the price it should be a lot better tasting. Onwards to find my perfect 5 cup coffee maker.

   I had an old Melita that was great, but it stopped working. Tried a new one but the coffee is not hot. Also, the measuring of the amount of coffee is confusing. The paperwork was all in Japanese, no English.

    朝のコーヒーが楽しみです。機能的には申し分ありません。ただ注ぎ口の問題なのか、注ぐ際にこぼれてしまう傾向にあるのはちょっと残念です。

    It suits my needs, since I live alone. The instructions are all in Japanese, and there are no instructions available in any other language, not that the coffee maker is complicated to operate. It’s not. I was just dismayed that there weren’t any instructions available in English (or any other language). Also, the cover is permanently attached to the carafe, so it would seem that it could break off at some time in the future. Putting it in the dishwasher is a bit problematic.
