   I will update this review as needed, but right now I am just plain frustrated. Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and what is the one thing you want on a long holiday weekend when it’s only 12° out? Yup… Coffee from our just delivered K575 bought with Christmas money. My usually non-coffee drinking husband had the idea to get one. I had been wanting one for years. Imagine our excitement. I set it up AFTER fully reading the instructions. Ran the 1st water only 8oz. cup through. Then I settled in to relax for the day with a 10oz. cup of one of the samplers included in the box. Brilliant! Worked great! A bit later I realized I had forgotten to discard the empty pod. I threw it out, lowered the lever and cooked dinner; oblivious that the error message came on. “Water pressure….Use maintenance assembly…clean needles…”. Ran through all that using the instruction manual. Nothing. It won’t even clear the message so you can run a water cycle through. Hit the YouTube videos. Nothing. Have you ever called support during the holiday? Don’t bother. They are closed. It looks like mine lasted 1 cup. I intend to call them tomorrow and probably exchange this one in hopes that a second one is part of the excellent 5 star batch. I know many people that love them and have no issues. Few known to hate them.

   We have had to “rig” our expensive coffee maker whether we use real Keurig or non-keurig pods. The new, expensive makers include an in-fared that wants to ensure you are using the real Keurig pods due to their stocks being down they changed to including the scanner. (We use the lid of a pod that actually works on top of either Keurig of non Keurig pods. Seriously, way below average. [The photo of Peet’s is a Keurig logo/brand and the message is from that pod. The starbucks lid actually works (whohoo) something works, so we use the lid until we can’t any longer.] All of this makes me never want to use anything Keurig and all our friends who come and stay for retreats are disgusted as well. So basically, you will have a VERY expensive hot water maker. The real kicker is that we spent over $100 on a coffee maker and should be able to use whatever pods we wish…HOWEVER, [even] when using the real things, we still get the code, “OOPS THIS POD WASN’T DESIGNED FOR THIS BREWER. PLEASE TRY ONE OF THE HUNDREDS OF PODS WITH KEURIG LOGO” As you can see in the photo, it IS Keuring pods that I am receiving this message. Do not buy any Keurig, it’s ridiculous that you are then forced to buy their pods, and even so, they still do not work with the new infared scanner unit. Ugh 🙁

   I haven’t had it long enough to test its durability but it is everything that I wanted. Looks good and works well and can procuce hot water for tea. The slate color goes well with my decor. Unfortunately, I couldn’t put the K pods storage rack under the Keurig because my cabinets were too low but the alternative works out fine.

   I have had this Keurig for about a week, at first there was a very strong plastic taste. I looked up some recommendations on how to get rid of it. I filled it almost all the way up with water and 1/2 cup of vinager. Ran that all the way through until it needed more water, dumped remander, rinsed with water, then filled it all the way back up with water and ran that completely through! No plastic taste left! It worked great! We love our new Keurig and have had get-togethers just based around our new coffee pot. Love it!

I make regular coffee with the k cup he bought me separate. I just put it where the regular kcup goes. Dont have to take the middle part out like the other keurig. Coffee taste delicious.    I love Keurig Coffee and had a Keurig coffee maker since 2010. Since this coffe maker went over the coffee maker rainbow bridge, I ordered this one. After trying to get the thing to work for 30 minutes to no avail, it didn’t recognize that the water tank was full, and asked for more water, I called Keurig customer service. The representative was friendly enough, and we went to about 5 gallon of filtered water, filling and emptying the tank, yet the machine still didn’t recognize that the tank was filled to the hilt. Upon recommendation I used tap water instead of filtered water for the last round of troubleshooting, but obviously the machine doesn’t recognize water containing contaminants such as chlorine either. The final solution is that Keurig will send me a replacement coffee maker within 3-7 business days, and I only have to send the brew head back, as proof that the just purchased, and not functioning machine is actually not in use. That step I find somewhat ironic, as the machine never worked in the first place. 3-7 business days for the delivery of the replacement coffee maker is an eternity for a coffee addict like me. I would have appreciated an overnight delivery, since I just paid a 3-digit amount for a coffee maker that is defective. From several reviews here, I noticed that my people with this coffee maker is not an individual case. Keurig obviously knows that this particular coffee maker is prone to defects right off the conveyer belt. It would speak for good customer service to simply put this series off the shelves completely, until they have figured out what the problem is. Instead they let customers go through the motions, let them develop frustrations, and send out a replacement of the exact kind in hope that it is not one of the many lemons they obviously produced! I will update this review, once the replacement arrives. Currently I can’t recommend buying this coffee maker, unless you are a true sucker for frustration.

    Brewer failed with the error “Sorry Brew Interrupted” on the fourth cup of coffee. The problem is not the coffee maker but it is a good possibility that it is a result of air in the k-cup pods. The air trapped in the pod and it will contaminate the needle, I am guessing that the air when the pod is penetrated results in the needle being blocked/contaminated. If the top of the k-cup pod is raised and does not give when you press on it there is a possibility that the pod is air bound. If you are experiencing this error put the pod into the device and push down on it before closing the device. When you push down on the pod a hole will be made in the bottom and the air will be released. I replaced a K575 that was well used for this problem. It appears that my old coffee maker will work if I release the air from the k-cup pods. I have not re-installed by old K575 to test my theory. FYI I am using Costco K-Pods.     My husband and I decided to get this keurig coffee maker because of the options it offered. I do no drink coffee but I love capucino’s, hot cocoa and teas. My husband is a huge coffee drinker so he was the only one who used our regular old coffee maker. I love the options on this particular machine with temp control, led screen etc. and it looks very sleek. I would definitely recommend this product. The only thing I will say bad was that it showed up with scratches and scuffs near the panel of the LED screen. However the machine still works properly.

    My eyes sparked at the moment I received this Kuerig coffee maker. It looks fancy, has those functions of changing light color and background color of control panel, has a water filter… which are pretty cool! But, after less than a week use, it broke. As shown in my photo, it asked me to clean the needle. I did needle maintenance following the instructions with that little valve comes with the machine, I disassembled the needle part and clean each of them, make sure water is between the min and max line. Still didn’t work. This problem happened twice in a week use. I just wanted a cup of coffee but it wasted me 5 k-cups and 1 hour in the second broke. Sorry it doesn’t work for me. Returned.

    Easy to use and setup. Reports of it being loud or makes loud noises. Mine sounds like any other machine that processes coffee like this and isn’t loud. Only had it 30 days but it makes coffee fast and recovery is less then 3 minutes. Yes I got the packaging saying the Kraft cups are being discontinue but that isn’t why I purchase this unit.     Hesitant to purchase based on some of these reviews but so far so good! Been in use daily, working great and brews a wonderful cup of coffee and hot chocolate. Very easy to set up and use. I bought a drawer stand for my K-cups and even on the stand it fits well under the counter. See photos. It’s out a few inches from the back and I can fully open the top. When inserting the K-cup make sure to push down until you hear/feel the pop, I also press down on the top to get rid of extra air before brewing (see photo), this helps ensure the pods do not break open. Also attached some pics with my old Mr Coffee for a size comparison, I always had to pull the Mr Coffee out to full open the top. Really happy with the Keurig and feel it was a good buy!

    Usually, when a company has the brand equity of “Kleenex, Q-tip or Skilsaw” they don’t need to screw you in order to keep it. These are brand names that become household words and own the market. Keurig was no exception. When we got our first Keurig a couple of years ago, I was hooked pretty quickly (though frustrated that I can only buy one connected to a water supply if I’m a business). But I quickly became frustrated about Keurig deciding for me how much coffee was enough for my “cup.” I know very few people who drink tiny cups of coffee. So on day one, I removed the drip tray to fit my to-go coffee mug under the dispenser. I then brewed the largest of the three buttons, opened and closed the top with the same K-cup and brewed another cup to fill my coffee mug. For those of you who love it super strong, this may not work. But for me it was perfect. Fast Forward to THIS complete waste of money… I can’t tell you how excited I was to finally get something that would make my size coffee cup and could hold more water (though again… just sell me one that I can connect to a water line!!). I didn’t mind having to use Keurig brand because I’m already doing that. HOWEVER…. what I do mind is that you CANNOT brew a larger cup of coffee without buying Keurig’s K-MUG!!! It will not work with a K-cup and you can’t access any of your presets without it. On top of everything else, this thing LEAKS AFTER EVERY CUP YOU MAKE and has no tray under it to catch it. So our brand new granite countertop has a puddle of coffee on it every morning. We called Keurig and their answer was to wait several minutes after your coffee is made as well as remove the K-cup before removing your coffee mug. Still drips. (NOTE: you have to remove the only drip tray in order to get any reasonable sized coffee mug under it and it looks really ugly as there’s an exposed connection spot that looks like something is missing from the device). At least our old “cheap” one had an additional plate under the main tray. I’m not going to buy larger K-mugs just because THEY decided how much coffee I need per 20oz of water. We have now started looking for some off-brand of “single cup coffee maker” instead of a Keurig since they don’t trust us enough to remain loyal without handcuffing us to their machines. What a shame.

    After my Keurig (8 years old) started to get grumpy on whether it would brew me a coffee or not… I ordered this one…. I really like the extra strong brew feature and the 12oz option…. Both which can be set as the default when you start it up…. It takes a minute longer than my old one to brew…. But it is worth it…. My coffee tastes even better… The coffee has more ‘body’ to it. I drink dark roast only. My wife loves it because it brews her ice tea even better. Hot chocolate has a separate touch button to use…. It does a real good job with everything. Programming is easy to do to set up the defaults…which you can change on the fly… It amazes me how much better coffee it gets out of the same pod. It also fits under the cabinet better the way it is hinged to open to fill the water reservoir and to put the pods in…. I don’t have to keep scooting the unit out to use it.

    K575 Review – I gave it 3 stars. I really wanted to give it more stars but it does not brew a really hot cup of coffee. Here is Good and the Bad Good: 1) Brews a good cup of coffee. I would suggest using the strong brew and do not go over 8 ozs. 2) You can use your own coffee (look for compatible K-Cup refills). I bought 6 for $12. 3) Fast – Pre-Heats in about a minute 4) Auto-On/Off. I have mine set to 6:00 am so it is pre-heated when I wake up. 5) 80 oz Reservoir 6) I love the ease of use of the K-Cups. Bad: 1) The heating adjustment is a joke. Keurig states that the water on high brews at 192 (default) when it hits the coffee. I measured the water temperature (No K-Cup installed) at 180. I then measured the temperature when coffee was brewed and it was at 166.5 (See pic). Why is Keurig so afraid of cranking up the heat??? I read the best coffee is brewed between 195-200. Huge disappointment here but I heard that is one of the downsides of these machines. When I wrote an email to them they told me to heat the coffee mug up … really? The whole purpose of using these machines is the ease of use. 2) One of the reasons I bought the K575 was the Hot Water on Demand but I found out that the only way to get that is it must be left on ALL the time. If not, it goes into pre-heat mode and you have to wait for the hot water to be heated. Summary: I like the machine but I really wish that the “High Heat” mode were set to 195 and not 180. I might have a lemon and I will swap out for another one but I do not have high hopes.

    Love the product but it just does not hold up. Brewed between 3-6 cups per day. The removable water reservoir cracked and began leaking water just a few months after we got it. Called customer service and they quickly sent out a new reservoir. Lesson learned, never remove the reservoir and in the event that you must, treat it very gingerly as it is very poorly made. This morning the handle became jammed and could not be closed. We called customer service and they made it clear that product was out of warranty and “once the handle became stuck there is nothing that can be done to repair it”. Very disappointed in the durability of this product. With a $200 price tag it should last longer than 17 months. If you buy this product you would be wise to purchase the extended warranty from coffeemakers.us.com. Guarantee you will need it. Best technology in the world will not make up for the cheap plastic parts that have rendered this machine inoperable.

    In my previous review I have this item 3 stars. For display issues and water pressure warnings. I competitions cleaned the k-pod holder and did needle maintenance and so far after 4 brews I haven’t had the error. As far at the display issues. That was human error. When the machine would heat water after a brew. I assumed it was repeating the processes again and was turning it off thinking this would bring up the time. When in fact I was really just turning the machine off! So after a new and the machine would beat the water I just left it alone. And voila! The time displayed just as I set it up in the menu with the correct wallpaper. Although, when I was turning it off sometimes the time would come up with no wallpaper? But I’ll see how it does in the next 2 weeks. If no more errors I’ll give it 5 stars! ****Update**** After my initial review the water pressure issue just kept getting worse. I’ve cleaned the needle several times, never saw anything that would cause the water pressure issues, yet I still constantly get them. One time I even found a melted slither of plastic in my aluminum tumbler. Can’t even find accessories on coffeemakers.us.com to replace the needle, holder, or collection tray.

    I absolutely love this machine! I’ve had it only a few days but it works flawlessly and brews great tasting coffee. Just be aware that certain K-Cups don’t taste well (at no fault of the Keurig). It’s a fun, quick adjustment in comparison to any standard coffee maker. And there are tons of accessories and flavors to try. You can even brew your everyday coffee with a reusable K-Cup filter by Keurig and other sellers. They’ve really thought of everything.

    I had a Keurig that I purchased five years ago and used it daily and loved it. When it finally broke I decided to go with the new top of the line Keurig and went with the K575. After only a week the water reservoir cracked. Now if that was the only issues I would deal with it because my old one had the same issue and never hindered it. But the coffee come out cold every time no matter how long the unit has been on. I thought I was the only one with this issue but after taking to TWO people that I purchased the same unit for as Christmas gifts from Costco they told me of the same issues. Stay away from this model until they figure out the bugs.

    I was so delighted when I opened my own new Keurig K575 brew! Loving so far I’ve own it for few days. No issues…but there was no maintenance accessory kit came with it as it should be. I did asked the reviewers question concern about if it will come with maintenance accessory kit (an orange pod). Did got few replies that they do come with it and customer service said the same it should come with it. So apparently it didnt came with it once I opened the box and inspected to ensure I didnt overlook it. I did called Keurig Customer Service and they did fixed it immediately by sending me the maintenance accessory kit via FEDEx. It should be arrive anytime soon. Will update in few months to see how it going.

    Ran 4 cups through it to clean it. Worked fine. Put in a K-cup and it swelled the cup up and blew grounds into the mug followed by the clean needle message, Removed everything and cleaned the needle and the k-cup holder. Ran another cup of plain water through, no problem. Put in another k-cup and swelled it up again and blew grounds into my coffee again. All k-cups are Keurig brand. Cleaned everything again. Finally got a full cup of coffee on my 3rd try without grounds or the message. Followed by another good cup. Next morning swelled the first and second k-cups again and a cup full of coffee grounds. After screwing with it again for 20 minutes I finally got a good cup. Took 7k-cups to get 3 cups of coffee, 4 wasted… 2.0 must mean its using 2X the k-cups… I want a refund for the machine and the wasted k-cups. I waited over a week for this heap of junk to arrive. Should have looked through the reviews and saved myself the trouble.
