   I use this little French press every morning for that perfect cup of coffee. I just love it. Now I don’t have to use my other 2 large presses for just one cup of coffee. The filter works great, too! No grinds come out in my cup. It’s quick and easy to clean and is light-weight for my arthritic wrists.

   It makes a decent cup of coffee despite it not reaching the bottom of the carafe. My main issue with this item is that its a pain to clean. The parts are held together with nuts so you have to use pliers to take it apart to clean properly. It feels cheaply made as well, but i guess for the price its ok.

   If you’re looking for a cheaper french press to use at work, this is a great one. It yields about 1.5 cups of coffee. The quality of the metal isn’t the greatest but again, it’s fairly inexpensive so you get what you pay for. The cap doesn’t stay on the glass when pouring so you have to hold it in place which is annoying but overall it’s a great press to use a secondary one to a more expensive one that you may have at home.

   We recently discovered the pleasure of French Pressed coffee, with a large press that I found at a yard sale. The experience got me thinking, why not have a fresh cup EVERY time?!

   We are trying to retrain out brains, and get away from using the microwave, but I can’t STAND coffee that’s reheated on the stove, so we’d pop it in the microwave for a few seconds, which we KNOW is not good for us! (And I am SO done with coffee machines that “keep it warm for you”! Blechk!)

   So I ordered 2 of these, one for me and one for my hubby so we can each have whatever flavor we like and fresh every time; and we are SOOOO glad we did!

   Great coffee, easy to use and NEVER warmed up!! And, this was the last hurdle for the microwave and it’s now on it’s way out the door! So it contributed to improving our health as well!

   Love it, perfect for when I just want a single cup or that special cup of coffee…….has worked great with no problems. It does have very thin glass, but with care and PROPER USE, should last a while……several months for me and not a single complaint………..also use to froth warmed milk with for cappuccinos, and couldn’t ask for easier…..beats dragging out the big bulky espresso machine…….easy clean up, for the glass is delicate.

   This is just the right size for someone like me who wants a small, strong cup of good coffee in the morning. I don’t find it hard to clean–as I only take it apart for a deep cleaning every 6 or so uses- >It’s not super sturdy-so I am careful when I wash it–I make sure I don’t bang it on anything-but am very happy with it for the prices and would recommend it.

   I love this little press! I bought it a few years and just started using it more, once or twice a day. I’ve never changed the filter and just cleaned it a few times. I also froth milk in it sometimes and slip the metal part off when I put it in the microwave. Some might want more than 12 oz, but it’s the perfect amount for me. And for the price, it’s more than worth it!

   **Update / Hazard Warning** After using this product in for a few months, it’s started to show corrosion on the glass-facing size of the sheet metal. To make this worse, it’s hard to clean this area so food residue (from putting this into the sink) collects and stays there. Corrosion also shows on where the nuts screw in. Gross. What really got me to drop my rating is this thing is a HAZARD. The corners on the rolled “grid” sheet metal wrapped around the glass only wraps a little past where the handle is welded. Further, these edges are UNFINISHED. Lesson learned when I was cleaning this press one day and sliced my finger open on one of said edges. ************************ It does its job, but isn’t worth the ~$9 I paid for it. It’s a laugh to suggest its list price is $26.95. $6.95 would be about right for this thing. I’m used to Bodums, so to me, this flimsy bucket belongs in the dollar store. The cap and plunger wobbles, due to nuts used as fasteners on both the mesh plunger and the top knob. The top is plastic, and the beaker does not remove. That being said, if you want something for the office, or dorm, this thing won’t get stolen. It also does its job somewhat satisfactorily, so eh, you get what you pay for.
