   The knob broke off immediately out of the box. The rest of the product looks great, so maybe this was a fluke. Hoping the seller can get us a replacement plunger. UPDATE: Seller has responded promptly and will be sending us a new rod and knob. Impressive customer service.    We bought this after researching several different French presses. It’s our first one, but so far so good. Makes delicious coffee. Love the large capacity and all stainless construction. No worries about broken glass. Very easy to clean as well. Haven’t had any grounds in the brew after filtering. There is the fine residue that gets through, but you can filter it through a paper towel or whatever if it bothers you. Good purchase.

   I’ve used this brand of french press for many years. I decided to try the black painted version which was a mistake as the paint started to flake off almost from the first wash. The press works fine but the paint flaking is unsightly.
