   I really wanted to like this but it leaks! I’m so disappointed. The first time I tried it right after receiving it, I followed all of the directions, let it sit overnight and returned in the morning to find it sitting in a puddle of coffee on the counter. I thought maybe it was a fluke somehow so day two I tried again. I have included a picture of what it looked like 3 hours later. Definitely a slow leak where the clear plastic meets the base. I’m sooo bummed. It really looks like a high quality product but maybe the looks can be deceiving. For $55 I can’t believe it’s defective. Hopefully it was just a fluke.

   My husband and I ordered the Asobu Coldbrew after a fellow coffee-loving friend raved about it and recommended we order. Yesterday, it arrived from coffeemakers.us.com and we immediately filled it up with coffee to sit overnight. When we woke up this morning, we poured two coffees and are in LOVE. So tasty! It’s easy to use and clean, too. We can’t wait to try different types and flavors of coffee in it. The portable will container will be great for sitting on our patio with in this summer and bringing over to friends’ for daytime parties. We also love how its compact and won’t take up much space in our small apartment kitchen. We read in a review that you can make cold brew tea with this too, so we definitely will be trying that out as well! We highly recommend the Asobu Coldbrew!

    Love this cold press coffee maker! I make a perfect iced coffee with a splash of vanilla almond milk, a little sweetener, and lots of ice. Very easy to use. I also appreciated the great customer service. I originally bought the coffee maker in late fall but didn’t open it until spring (iced coffee season for me). Unfortunately, the product had a leak. I contacted Asobu who responded almost immediately and sent me a replacement product right away. The replacement works great and I am using it every day.

    Ok, first, you don’t really ~neeed~ anything special to make cold brew. But if you’re like me and enjoy well designed products that make things easier then this is for you. The insulated carafe is a huge deal, I start a brew when I get home from work, the next morning, I just remove the carafe, fill it the rest of the way with ice and I’m drinking perfect coffee for the rest of the day, there is still ice in the afternoon. Clean up is as easy as rinsing and setting out to dry. I can think of no downside to this product; the design and quality are way above average.

    Ordered this as a gift. My friend said the bottom piece fell off when she took it out of the box. It’s on the bottom and doesn’t seem to have anything to do with the actual functioning of the coffee maker but leads me to believe it’s cheaply made.     This an ultimate companion for me and this let me discover a new way to brew coffee. The structure is rather straight forward only that makes it premium is the aluminum flask which really justifies the cost of this product (i think this the 50% of the product’s cost) just be mindful some people report of leakage- there is a metal ball in the drain. You have to place it snugly and properly so it acts as a stopper in order for coffee brew doesnt flow prematurely. The strainer shouldnt be put in a dishwasher- just clean it gently with hands.

    Always use medium ground coffee beans not finely grounded ones

    I bought this for my husband for Fathers Day. He said it was the best gift he has ever received. He has recently discovered cold brew and was trying to make it at home using K cups and it was always a disappointment until now. He makes it the night before work since it has it brew for 12 hours and then in the morning he adds a handful of ice in the same container he made it in and hes out the door. He says it stays cold all day in that container even in 100 degree weather in the car. It fits perfect in the refrigerator. It shipped out super fast. Great buy!!

    Had this unit for a couple of weeks now and I am really enjoying how easy and convenient it is to use. No paper filters are required so that’s nice. There’s nothing to plug in so you can use it anywhere. I can totally see myself taking it along on a road trip or camping. A quick rinse with warm water between brews is all the clean up that you need most of the time. For periodic deep cleaning the unit is easy to take apart and only has a few pieces. The quality seems good and I expect it will last a long time given a reasonable amount of care. Cold steeping the coffee definitely makes it less acidic and produces a more mellow flavor. If you are a cold brew fan this is a great product. PS-be careful with the thin gaskets that seal top and bottom of the middle section to avoid the leaking problems that some have experienced.
