Gotta figure out right grind. But overall process easy. Coffee tastes solid.

Yeah, it’s actually great, and I wasn’t going to buy one of the many knock-offs from eBay, but why the price tag? It’s a bit of wire bent into a cone shape. Real coffee out on the hills though, that’s something. Would recommend.

More 4.5 review. Compact but sturdy for what is basically wire sculpture. Really meant for true cone filters vs the flat bottom Melitta style. A Hario #2 will work but I wouldn’t fill it beyond the upper ring. I think they’re really meant for the smaller Hario #1 size filter and that’s pretty much what they ship with. I’d say 200-250gr of water is pretty much its limit. Fine for a typical American style coffee cup.

I own a number of pour over brewers from Hario, Chemex, Clever, Kalita and Rok. This one is THE BEST because it makes the most consistent high quality brews. The fact that it has very little mass allows more heat to stay in the grounds rather than allowing heat to be constantly transferred to the body of the brewer. More consistent heat means a more consistent extraction. You could say the best brewer is no brewer. And this is as close to no brewer as you can get without a truly rube goldberg type of arrangement with lab equipment and bungee cords. Yes I’m that guy.
The unit is high quality and imparts no flavor. It’s very light and portable. It’s easy to clean. And it reminds me of a slinky. 🙂 You can use the smaller or larger Hario cone filters in it. The larger size, 02, may be a bit easier to finagle into position. Design-wise it’s minimalist in a Marie Kondo fashion.
Yes, this is the pour over brewer you are looking for.

Great, very functional and awesome when space is at a premium. I am a vanlifer and I need items that do their job and take as little space as possible, this fits the bill. BTW backpackers, this is super lightweight

I’ve had this for years now and am just getting around to reviewing. This is a must for any person that enjoys camping or backpacking, or traveling with coffee and not carrying a big setup. This packs down to literally nothing. It takes up next to no space, and it’s perfect for your morning coffee. Durable and easy to use, love this product.

This is the concept engineered down to the most efficient solution possible, I think. It holds up a standard #2 cone coffee filter just fine. You do want to be careful pouring over it, since it’s a bit flexible. So far, though, I have had no mishaps. Consistently good results. I haven’t tried the included filters, but I’m sure they work even better, stability-wise, since they’re a bit smaller than #2 cones.
Easy to unfold/compress, and refold. Tiny profile for travel. Perfect.
