   I was paying $4 for a “single” “espresso”. I have being watching this product for years but probably never had a real reason to buy it until now. It’s a few months now, I always have it in my handbag, I bought some Italian espresso capsules that I live at work and a thermos that holds boiling water for 48hrs XD I just love it so much! It’s easy to use and not hard to press the put(make sure to remove the little cardboard when you buy it because otherwise it will be super hard 😅). I hope in future there will be an accessory for powder coffee so that I can use my Lavazza, except for that: leave your doubts out the door and go for it! UPDATE It’s been a few months after I started to use this Wacaco machine. I still like the coffee and how convenient it is, the only thing that I found absurd is that after I have a coffee it’s IMPOSSIBLE to open the capsule container, that’s why I feel it’s a 4 stars not five…I sometimes need/want another coffee and I can’t because once you have your first coffee it’s done for the day…I have to ask my husband when I get home to unscrew it for me…are all this machines the same? I am considering to give it to my husband and get a new one only if it doesn’t come with this problem.

   I was excited about this but when I opened it up the first time, smelly old water leaked out and then a used coffee capsule fell out. This is disgusting. Very annoyed because I wanted to take this on an upcoming trip. I have already processed a return and will update when I receive a (hopefully) new product, as ordered.

   I’m not a coffee connoisseur so take this with a grain of salt. I wanted a portable way to make good coffee (work coffee sucks) so I chose the Nespresso pods version of the minipresso. I don’t drink a ton of coffee so having the pods is great. I don’t have to buy coffee beans and not drink it soon enough and it goes stale. I have used this a bunch of times so far including on a camping trip which is where it truly shines. If this is your situation, and you don’t want to spend a lot on an espresso maker just try it, you won’t be disappointed. Pods aren’t too expensive, and I recycle the metal from them.

    Boiling water on a tiny pocket stove and making espresso in the woods is AWESOME. This thing is great. Make sure to screw the portafilter on tight enough to pierce the nespresso pod, but dont crank it so tight like your life depends on it. I learned the hard way and had a heck of a time trying to get it unscrewed

    Remove paper first! Then brew. The coffee is sensational … comparable to my countertop Nespresso Vertuoline matchine. Don’t make my mistake, though, and watch a few YouTube’s before making coffee … there’s a piece of paper in there that you REMOVE before your first try. If you don’t, you’ll be tossing out your first precious cup and using the enclosed brush to remove the soggy paper from the capsule grill in the cap. 🙂

    I admit to loving coffee gadgets. I drink one double Nepresso latte in the morning–and I like my coffee the way I like my coffee. I’m not a snob just a creature of habit. So, when I went to visit my mom for a few weeks, I needed a way to keep the coffee flowing. Enter this little bundle of joy. Small enough to take on the plane with me, it worked better than I expected. Are there issues with the pod getting stuck, yup, but you’ll figure it out (it isn’t that hard). Did I burn my hands pouring the hot water into the container–sure–but that was me not paying attention. Did my hand cramp into a permanent claw trying to pump the machine–absolutely. But ultimately, I got to have my coffee almost my way. I figure I can throw this thing, a small milk frother, and a box of Peets pods into my bag any time I have to travel and I’m set to go. All you need is some boiling water (and hot milk if that is your thing) and you’re good. They include a little cup for the hikers and campers, but I skipped that in favor of a regular mug. You’ll get some sputtering and, no, the coffee won’t be as good as out of the machine, but it will certainly get you through a few days or more. I was quite pleased with the quality of the shots. Make sure to try it out before you go–there is a learning curve but not a steep one. It is easy to carry, easy to clean, and easy enough to use. This is a useful addition to the gadget collection.
