   This brewer makes wonderful cold brew FAST. I had been using a French Press for 12-24 hours, now I have delicious concentrate in about 25 minutes with no grounds at the bottom. The Vinci makes a really generous amount and I store the carafe in the frig door till used up. The Instruction booklet is detailed with large illustrations to prevent misuse. They even provided a Cleaning Cup to securely hold the Control lid and filter while you are sealing the top on the carafe and to clean the Control Lid. I have found it very easy to dump the grounds by simply removing the filter basket top and turning it upside down over the trash. The bottom is also removable. These pieces are easily cleaned in warm soapy water till the next brew. You then use the Cleaning Cup to clean the Control Lid with some fresh water. I bought a small Curver Infinity storage box to keep the Control Lid safe in between brewing cycles, and to keep all the pieces in one place including the Instructions. I’d give 10 stars if I could. This would make a terrific gift for cold brew lovers!

   I like cold brew. I have a Hario carafe that I just love. What I don’t love is running out of cold brew. I know, you’re not supposed to drink it like soda, but I do. I can’t help myself. So when I saw the Vinci Express and its claims of making cold brew in 25 minutes, I had to give it a try. I was skeptical, as I am of any ‘shortcut’ method, but I went ahead and did some tests. Operationally, the Vinci is much easier to fill than a manual cold brew setup, with a lot less opportunity for mess. The filter basket screws securely into the top, so grounds don’t get everywhere. You don’t need to stir or wet the grounds manually, which is usually where I start making a mess, and when you’re done, you simply pump the entrained water out of the filter basket and drop the whole thing into the supplied cleaning cup, avoiding any drippy mess. First, I ran on the highest strength setting with a coarse grind from my Capresso burr grinder – like I use with a french press. That’s the one I did in the attached video. I was underwhelmed by the strength of the brew. Undaunted, I went ahead with a medium grind – the same one, in fact, that I use for espresso. Not a fine grind, as the manufacturer expressly says that’s a no-no because the fines can damage the mechanism. That’s the one on the right in the picture. I actually ran the cycle twice just to see if it changed anything, but the additional time didn’t strengthen the brew or noticeably change its taste, so I’m thinking that 25 minutes is enough to express all the good stuff. That picture is a comparison between a 24-hour steep in my Hario (left side, slightly cloudier) and a X-Bold (highest setting) steep in the Vinci (right side, clearer). I should mention that the Vinci steep sat in the fridge for 24 hours waiting for the Hario to finish before I took these photos, but I didn’t see much residue in the bottom of the carafe, so it does look like the Vinci makes a clearer brew. Just judging by the hue, one brew isn’t noticeably stronger than the other. Now I admit that though I love chemistry in all things, especially when they’re potable, I couldn’t really taste the difference between these two samples. I was expecting the Hario to be much stronger than the Vinci, but it turns out that once you get the grind right, they’re fairly comparable. There are no bitter notes in either; I could happily sip them out of the glass just like this, and in fact enjoyed both brews over ice without anything added. I’m happy with this brewer. Seeing as it makes similar quality coffee to a much more finicky and time-consuming method, I’ll happily make it my go-to cold brewer. Plus – no more fears of running out – of cold brew, that is, as now I run through coffee beans about a zillion times faster. Also, I’m up for days at a time, but that’s on me.

   So I ground my coffee to 2 ticks below medium grind….7 scoops as they require. I chose the highest bold setting. Once completed approx 1/2 hour. I then ran it additionally for a bold cycle same grounds because I like my ice coffee rich and dark. The photo speaks for itself. Horrible unit. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

   My espresso machine only produces extremely fine grounds and a coarse grind is required for this machine. I wasn’t ready to dig out my old grinder the first time I tried this, so I instead used some Starbucks cold brew that I had on hand. I put the grinds into the machine and prepared the cold brew according to the instructions. I brewed it on the strongest setting, since I prefer a concentrate. Although the brew looks very light in color in the photos, it was actually quite dark. Even without using freshly ground beans, the flavor was excellent and had no bitterness. It’s important to note that it appeared a lot of grinds ended up in the carafe. In actuality, these were just a very fine silt, which did not impact the texture of the coffee at all. This machine definitely provides a very quick, quality cold-brew at a reasonable price point.

    I recently purchased the VINCI Express Cold Brew Patented Electric Coffee Maker with high hopes of enjoying quick and delicious cold brew at home. However, my experience with this product has been less than satisfactory. For the first five months, the coffee maker worked adequately, delivering a decent cup of cold brew in just 5 minutes. However, the joy was short-lived as I encountered two major issues with the device. Firstly, the cleaning process proved to be an arduous task. The design of the coffee maker made it difficult to reach certain areas, and despite my best efforts, it was a challenge to maintain its cleanliness. Secondly, the real disappointment came when, out of the blue, the coffee maker simply stopped working. I meticulously checked all the nozzles, ensuring they were tight and undamaged, but to no avail. The sudden malfunction was frustrating and unexpected. Given the unreliability of the VINCI Express Cold Brew Coffee Maker, I find myself yearning for the simplicity of my previous overnight brewer. The inconvenience of dealing with a product that not only requires extensive effort to clean but also fails to stand the test of time makes it a regrettable purchase. In hindsight, I wish I had never invested in this product and instead opted for a more dependable and durable cold brew coffee maker.

    Hello. I purchased this in January but didn’t open it until May of this year. Following all directions it worked well for two months. Then today for some reason coffee started pouring out a seem from the control lid. I don’t feel I got my $80 worth from this machine.     Aloha, I purchased this for my boyfriend who’s been loving this cold blew machine! It’s so quick yet so yummy too! He’s one of those guy who has to have a big cup of coffee every morning and he told me this coffee maker is by far make the best cold blew coffee ever!!! So since I gifted this for him he has been making every day sometimes twice or 3times a day. Unfortunately whenever he was cleaning the filter inside accidentally he threw away a part of the filter. I inquired about possible purchasing the part then the customer service got back to me right away for me to go online to their website. okay, sorry! long story short…because we reside in Oahu, HI(Hawaii) the small company like them could not afford to pay high shipping cost to Hawaii!! I mean I really understood it though..A big company like coffeemakers.us.com even though this pandemic, even though this shipping hardship they can still afford for shipping cost but not the small individual company like them. So I told them I understood their situation. Then the manager of Vinci messaged me that they’re very sad about our situation they will try their best to send the part to us in Hawaii for free!!!     This is by far, the best cold brew machine at home for the price. I was skeptical with some of reviews that said it’s makes “light” coffee and tastes “different”. But let me tell you that for my experience with it, it’s excellent. I’m a coffee lover and this product makes good bold and strong cold brew and it tastes great. I’m not sure why some reviews mention that it’s weak. Maybe they didn’t follow the instructions how to use it correctly or maybe they use a wrong type of roast coffee. I use dark roast beans and fresh ground them before brewing and when brew in “extra bold” mode it’s produced a very bold and rich aroma coffee. Make sure you follow instructions to clean it before first brew. Try a different roast level and see which one works best for your taste. Totally recommend this product.

    Not usable. Came without a power cable so had to get one. Once I did that it can’t brew properly. Used very coarse grounds and only about 1/4 of the reservoir actually brews and that is really light. Even on the strongest settings.

    Don’t know how it works. Love the idea but the filter part came in broke. See the pictures. Contacted the company by phone and they said to email them the info. They would take care of it. 4-17-21 still no answer from Vinci and had to email them a second time. 4-20-21 they contacted me and made it right with a new part and some of their cold brew coffee for free The coffee maker works well. Coffee tastes great and it’s so nice to get it quickly. We go through it too fast to wait 12 hours or more. The only thing that we don’t like is that the coffee grounds are hard to get out of the filter because it gets so compacted in the filter due to the brewing process. It makes a mess to get it all out and make another batch.

    I LOVE this electric cold brew coffee maker. It is worth every penny! I bought this in May of 2023 (pics and vid from May 14, 23) and today it is still going strong. No issues or problems with it at all. I think it’s important to say to READ ALL of the instructions prior to use because some people don’t (I don’t understand that but I live with someone who’s like that soooo…yeah, read the darn instructions!) It is super easy to use and clean. In fact I am purchasing a 2nd one just to have down the road and a 3rd one for a family member who loves iced coffee as much as I do 😀 I’m was going to post another video on the cleaning process but apparently I can only post one video (but again, easy if you just follow instructions and be methodical about the process) Bottom line, don’t rush it. Enjoy the process of learning how to use it the first couple times and have a routine in which you prepare, clean and make your cup of iced goodness! Now I can do it blindfolded without missing a beat lol I’d give it 10 stars if I could and no I am not paid to write this review~

    I was skeptical when I came across this device, that it could actually make cold brew without the overnight “steeping” in the refrigerator. But lo and behold, the Vinci knows no boundaries! This is some of the best coffee I have ever had. The coffee is bursting with flavor, and very low acid. Crisp, clean and cold in 5-8 minutes for my light brew. From what I’ve read it would be about 20 minutes for the highest setting – “extra bold”. And I love watching my cream mix with the cold brew. I got a coffee grinder with a coarse grind setting and just buy whole beans. Which is a little cheaper than buying special bags of cold brew coffee beans, and opens up a whole world of coffee flavor options. It does take a lot of coffee to brew. But you end up with a whole carafe of coffee that can be stored in the fridge in its lovely glass carafe. I would buy this a thousand times over. I am so happy with this coffee maker! Easy prep and clean up. But you do need to clean it out right away if you don’t want to clog it up. I will meticulously pamper this device until it dies, and then I will buy another. Vive le café!

    I am hooked on cold brew. Typically I was buying it premade from the grocery store because it’s cheaper than a coffee house, but it’s still expensive compared to buying it at home. I was also limited to brands, which is fine, but variety is the spice of life. I wanted to brew at home, but I know me, and 24 hours of steeping a cold brew concentrate would easily turn into 96 hours and moldy grounds, so that wasn’t going to work. I got this a couple days ago and started using it right away. The coffee is nice, with low acidity and great flavor. If I’m drinking immediately, I like a medium brew of a dark roast, but if I’m planning ahead (haha, in my dreams) I can save money by brewing an extra bold concentrate in 25 minutes instead of 24 hours. It’s like magic! Then just swap out the lids and put the whole carafe in the fridge, saving me storage space and time since I’m not portioning it into jars. It does use a lot of grounds, so I certainly reccommend the concentrate method if you’re a bit of a coffee snob and your beans are pricy. 10/10 on this one.

    I am new to cold-brew coffee, and although I’ve decided I’m not that big a fan, this unit proved that it was able to expertly craft a coldish brew cup in just a few minutes. Some thoughts What I liked: – Decent volume. I was able to make 3 full mugs/ 2 full large tumblers of cold brew with a single cycle. These are hefty portions too. – Quiet operation. A gentle hum was all I heard, no louder than the background noise of my refridgerator. – Easy to operate. No million button-press operations, just choose strength and go. – End of brew extraction. One of my pet peeves is dripping, messy spent grounds, and this allows you to vacate a lot of the excess water from the grounds in the chamber by a quick pressurized run once brewing is done. – Brew is less acidic and has a smooth mouthfeel. What I found lacking: – Removing/attaching/filling the canister was not the simplest. A narrow opening almost required a funnel. – Uses a LOT of grounds per pitcher. 3 times as many grounds as conventional coffee by my tastes, for the same strength as if I’d brewed it hot then chilled it. – Needs room-temp water for best operation. So it’s not exactly cold-brew, more like luke-warm brew. Still needs ice or chilling (albeit less time) to get cold. – Poorly suited for cheap coffee. Yeah, I drink Minwell Hut and Filcher’s sometimes, and the uneven grinds in these budget brands lead to the metal pores clogging. The same for blade ground coffee too, if you grind your own and aren’t careful. – Cleaning requires banging. With the large solid mass of spent grounds in the holder, expect to need to thwack it on the side of the trashcan to get most of them out. There’s a lot, and they get compacted, when filled per the manual. Overall this worked very well for making lukewarm coffee, but I find nowadays I stick 3-4 tea bags in it along with some looseleaf herbal and make tea concentrate instead. 4 large reg tea bags + 2 flavored tea bags/ herbal looseleaf + medium hot water = concentrate Concentrate into a glass full of ice = perfect strength iced tea.

    I thought this was going to be great. It leaked from the start, but I just thought I was doing something wrong, but no! This thing is horrible! It leaks and it leaks BAD! It even holds old coffee in the pump area, that will leak out by the beak looking thing, when tipped! I probably used about 8-9 paper towels when I did use it! For $80, you’d think it would be pretty sound! I should’ve returned it, but things get busy! Don’t waste your time, money or paper towels on this heap! I purchased another brand!
