   this percolator makes the best coffee I’ve had in a long time! the taste is clean and flavorful and fresh. the keep warm feature keeps it HOT, not just warm. and pouring it from a graceful spout is so elegant compared to a carafe! no tubes to clog up either. as for grounds settling in the bottom, not a problem, even with regular ground coffee.

   It has a little wobble in stem and you definitely must use filters or you will have grounds in coffee. It doesn’t have a glass perculator top which is why I wanted this one. But I decided to keep because I didnt have a coffee pot and couldn’t go without my cup of morning joe to send it back. Also I wasn’t happy with cord being loose. Reading reviews I remembered some saying that . But after all i read I forgot that detail. I believe i purchased this for price but if i had paid a little more i would’ve got a better one.

   So this is easy to use, easy to clean, it looks gorgeous, and the coffee tastes AMAZING! Mine has a brushed copper finish and silver lid. the know on top it glass and all inards are metal. I don’t use coffee filters because the basket inside filters enough for me. Are there a small amount of grounds in the last cup? Yes. Is it a big deal? No. If it’s an ussue for you, make a little extra so you aren’t stuck with the absolute last coffee in there. Also, it lights up when done! LOVE ❤ P.S. it does get hot so keep out of reach of small children.

   The coffee taste fine and the machine percolates okay. That said there are coffee grounds on the top lid and in your coffee cup. I mean a lot, so much so I’ve used a strainer when pouring my coffee. Lastly you will hear the coffee pot humming even after the coffee is finished percolation. You will need to turn the pot off if this annoying sounds bother you. Honestly we were to save money, so we understand the principle that you get what you pay for. The good news is we have fresh coffee every morning. Be well!

   This perculator makes perfect perky coffee BUT I have now noticed there is this black smudge on the inside after making a pot each time and frankly now I am afraid to use it. You can see from the picture it wipes out fairly easy with a wet paper cloth (not 100% but most can be removed) but only returns next time I use it. Has anyone else had this happen? I believe it’s some sort of metal oxidation vs. motor grease but I can’t say 100% SCARY!

   For the past 10 years, I’ve been using the percolator my mom gave me that she got in the 1960s. I loved that percolator but it stopped working Dec. 2020 and had to have another one. I could not find one with enamel finish with design on the outside like the cute old one from the 60s, bought this one because it is red and has a glass knob on top, just like my old one. I was not going to settle for plastic knob or plastic parts and this one does not have any plastic, it’s all stainless metal and glass. Love the silver cover since it’s shiny. The red finish is matte, not shiny like my old enamel one. My new red percolator (I got the large one) makes coffee really quickly and the coffee is nice and hot for the first cups poured. Once the warmer goes on, the second cups are a little less hot but stick a poured cup in the microwave if you want it really hot. I think I made the right choice and got the best percolator for me.

    I bought this for my brother in law after my sister broke their Mister Coffee. I am that coffee snob. I prefer a strong, blonde roast and the taste of old coffee or coffee grinds in my cup makes my stomach turn. So I bought them this coffee maker because of the aesthetics and in hopes of better coffee when I stayed with her. At first brew, we were concerned with all the grit in the bottom of the cup. It sounded cool and it was nostalgic to see the percolator swirl coffee in the glass knob (pictured), but I couldn’t stomach the grinds. We went to the store and bought cheap filters which easily popped into the basket after making a small hole in the middle. After the adjustment, everyone greatly enjoyed the smooth, flavorful brew which was produced. After sitting on the warmer for hours, the coffee was still delicious. This coffee maker was an all around win!

    I bought this hoping for more flavorful, STRONG coffee in the morning but it also had to be made FAST. I was NOT disappointed. The first pot I made was ok – about as good as my programmable electric coffee maker. Nothing special and I almost returned it but decided to try a few solutions first. I added more grounds to the 2nd pot. Better but not worth retiring my programmable coffee maker. I also tried unplugging the pot and plugged back in again to see if I could get it to brew the pot again but it wouldn’t brew and the blue light was on indicatingthat it knew it was still “done.”. 3rd try: I bought coffee filters and put one in the coffee grounds basket and added yet more coffee grounds and it turned out GREAT! 6 cups brewed perfectly in 8 minutes

    I’ve been using a percolator coffee pot for years. I’ve only used this one once so far so I can’t tell how it will hold up. But coffee was good. And it perked pretty quickly. I only gave it 3 stars because it Is not as pictured. The spout in the picture is long and curved. It is what got my attention and why I went with this pot. But when it arrived it is a completely different look. I added pics to show what the site shows and what I actually got. I will keep the pot because I have already used it and it makes good coffee. But I won’t order from this company again just for the fact that I like to get what I pay for.

    I was at a point that perhaps it was time to give up coffee and change to tea. I couldn’t make a decent cup of coffee to save myself; regardless of which type of coffee I purchased. In a “one-last-time” attempt, I purchased a perculator, Moss & Stone, after reading several perculator reviews. It took about four pots of coffee before it started tasting like the coffee I wanted. The first pot full was terrible but I had spent too much money so I continued with it. I now get really hot and really flavourful coffee every morning and I make it with 100% stainless steel product (no plastic which is why I feel the drip coffee was not that great). The Moss & Stone meets all manufacturer specifications. I really like it. Easy to use.

    Well, I had a West Bend Percolator for years until the heating element finally brewed its last pot and it was by far 100 times the coffee pot this disaster was for me. I needed a percolator fast because I was going on vacation and read the reviews and it seemed like a good purchase. Oh no it was not…lol First thing was that one of the screws was missing from coffee pot itself (on left side of plug insert) where you insert plug into coffee pot. So when you went to unplug it after use and to rinse pot, half the receptacle on the coffee pot was about to come off. Second, I NEVER, EVER had grounds in my coffee when I used my West Bend percolator. I mean I used the same beans, same grind setting on my Cuisinart coffee bean grinder, same filter basket filter, and every single time I had grounds in the coffee, not a ton, but definitely noticeable. That takes you to the picture of the filter basket, it has slits on the side near the upper part of the basket and that’s the culprit of the grounds in the coffee. My West Bend filter basket had none on the side of the filter basket. I do not have experience with any other percolators out there on the market and to be fair there may be others out there that are equal or even better than West Bend. I can tell you one thing, I was extremely disappointed with not only the quality of this product (poor quality control missing one of two screws, c’mon now you have to do better), but also the extremely poor functionality of this product. Again, do not waste your time or money on this one, definitely not worth it.

    I got rid of my drip coffee maker and opted for a percolator instead. I do quite a bit of camping and will boil coffee in a stovetop percolator pot over a fire and prefer the flavor to drip coffee. It looks good in stainless steel. I don’t believe that any of the internal parts are aluminum. It takes up less space than the drip maker that it replaces. It really doesn’t seem to take any longer to brew a pot. It will stop perking and a blue light illuminates when it’s completed. I’m still adjusting how much and how course my ground beans should be. There is a “max” line on the coffee basket which seems to be the right amount of ground beans for a full pot. I usually prefer buying appliances with a UL rating, but this has an Intertek (ETL) rating so it is still safety tested to standards by Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories (NRTL). Oddly, I bought this in 2021, but the date on the bottom says 2005, but it’s not a stainless pot will spoil or decompose. I can’t think of a single complaint, though I’ve had it just a few days.

    Like many reviewers I became tired of the daily coffee pods and yearned for old style coffee flavor. I had a West— brand percolator many years ago that lasted one year and quit working as the warranty ran out. I had a few drip coffee makers since and onto the present Keurig for a number of years. The percolated coffee taste had pleased me the most over the years and I researched and finally purchased the Moss & Stone SS Percolator. I have only had this for a couple of months or longer and I am completely satisfied with the quality and taste of coffee from this percolator. It is very easy to clean and it does not make much noise at all. The percolating coffee is a pleasant sound and smell to me. I use whole beans and grind to my coarsest setting and I rarely have any if not almost non existent coffee grounds in my coffee cup. I highly recommend the Moss & Stone Percolator.

    Purple is my favorite color and I needed a new coffee pot. This seemed to be the answer. It is hardly even purple it is so dark. At first glance I thought the whole thing was black. That was very disappointing for me. It does however, make a good cup of coffee and it’s nice and hot.

    I do like this percolator. It makes great coffee! However I am not please that the hexagonal metal piece in the bottom of the pot is starting to ware down.. is the coffee acidity corroding it? I’ve only been using it for a few months. The other thing that bothers me that’s kind of funny… I guess I am used to the nostalgic sound of coffee brewing… This percolator makes extremely strange sounds when brewing almost like an airplane taking off… And while it’s sitting there keeping the coffee warm it has the sound of someone using a chainsaw in the distance. No joke! Also, the basket has holes that allow coffee grounds through…I personally prefer a finer grind, so I have to use a paper filter.

    My overall rating would be much higher had th percolator not stopped working after only 18 months, and had I received better feedback from the manufacturer’s customer service. It appears the on/off switch has stopped functioning so I contacted their customer service but they didn’t offer any help noting instead that I was past the 12-month warranty period. I wanted to share a couple images of my percolator after reading more reviews from the coffeemakers.us.com web site. As others have noted, the bolt and interior bottom of the pot has deteriorated as shown in the image. Also, on closer inspection, I noticed deterioration on the outside where the pot is mounted to the bottom, as shown also in the image. My concern is that both of these may indicate not only that the product has not held up as intended, but that it and others out there could be unsafe to use even if they still function. I have to believe that the manufacturer sells this product expecting it to last more than one year, as I and other customers and potential customers certainly expect when considering purchasing it. That’s part of the decision to spend so much for a better, longer lasting product. At a bare minimum, I feel the manufacturer needs to send me a replacement on/off switch, but they have not responded to my follow-up requests. I am disappointed in their customer service response.

    I love the color. It is easy to clean and easy to use. It makes great coffee. The on/off switch is a plus. My old one didn’t have a switch. But, the percolator leaks from the bottom, I think. I can’t tell exactly where the leak is coming from. On top of that, the leaks have happened overnight after the pot was turned off and empty. The pot doesn’t seem to leak when it is on. I hope the replacement will work better. Update 3/21/22: Replacement works! No leaks even after using it for two months. Return and replacement process was very easy as well.

    revised: The coffee is delicious so I’m keeping the pot. I noticed from another review that the coffee measurements on the coffee receptacle are incorrect. I decided to look at mine and sure enough the readings are 4 2 8 max. this can surely create issues for anyone not familiar with a percolator So I brewed a few pots before leaving this review. This pot is replacing a percolator ( another brand ) that stopped working. That said, I know how to use a percolator. I have been using the same store bought ground coffee for years. It is a medium ground not large ground. I used an additional filter with my first brew. There were coffee grounds at the bottom of the pot and in our coffee mugs. The second pot I brewed with less coffee and a filter hoping for no grounds. Fail, there were grounds again at the bottom of the pot. Then I brewed with no filter and only using the grounds holding filter that is apart of the pot. Still grounds. YUCK. Hate when you take a drink of coffee and feel the grounds swirling in your mouth. Other than that, the flavor of the brew is delicious. Not sure if we can return this pot or not. I’ll reach out to the shipper.

    This is the second electric percolator I have tried. I have been using a stainless steel stove top percolator which works great and makes the best coffee, but I wanted the ease of being able to not have to watch the coffee. I love the idea of being able to just plug in the percolator and walk away from it. Unfortunately, the electric percolators I’ve tried don’t seem to make very good coffee, I tried the Presto before this one. They also make a mess and the grounds go everywhere. I’m not sure why this is happening because this has never happened to me with my stove top percolator. I could deal with the messy coffee grounds if the coffee at least tasted halfway decent, but after attempting to brew the coffee the same way I do in the stove top percolator pot, I noticed that the electric version produces a very weak cup of coffee, even though I used exactly the same measurements. It’s an attractive looking pot though, love the glass top and the keep warm switch, sorry it didn’t work for me.

    I absolutely love this percolator! It’s easy to clean. The spout is perfect for pouring. I like the handle guard that prevents you from burning yourself on the pot. It’s pretty rugged too. My problem is that the power cord has started to melt. I referred to the owner’s manual to find out where I could get a replacement cord. There wasn’t any sort of parts list in there. I couldn’t find a website for Moss and Stone either; only a Facebook page. I had to order a generic but supposedly compatible one. The only problem is, I can’t find one with less than a 4’ cord. It’s going to be too long, but I hope it works.

    Shockingly good coffee but what I got is not what I ordered. The curved spout in the advertising is pretty but the straight spout is kind of plain. Also the copper color fades out around the top of the body of this pot sonits kind of cheap looking. To summarize, great tasting coffee but cheap looking bait and switch if aesthetic is important to you. Sharing some pics-the first is the ad pic, the rest are the box/pot I received.

    I grew up on coffee being made on a Percolator & was using them until just about 6yrs ago when I decided to jump on the “pod” bandwagon. To be honest, was never really satisfied but the convenience overshadowed the lack of quality of a good, hot & strong cup of coffee(and before you judge- no, I didn’t go cheap and buy the common one, I splurged and went for it…making sure I had one of the best out there) that said, although tasty, I was never satisfied with the quality of “pod” coffee….great flavor/s but never, ever “hot”. I finally pulled the plug, did some research and bought myself the Moss & Stone Electric Coffee Percolator & could not be happier. First, its beautiful and compliments my home design aesthetic, but most important of all- it makes a damn good cup of coffee! My home is now filled with the wonderful aroma of vanilla and my coffee mug filled with a piping hot cup of deliciousness. Sorry “pod” coffee makers, your just not a match to a good ‘ole cup of hot coffee made with a Percolator.

    The info states that the top of the lid has a glass handle, but it’s clearly plastic as you can see the molding marks within the center displayed in the photo. The unit itself seems okay, first percolator I have ever owned, so no comparison to go on. You definitely will need a filter for fine grounds, or use coarse grounds if you don’t want to get a separate filter.

    We purchased this coffee percolator back in March of 2021. I rarely leave reviews on products, but after pulling it out of storage yesterday while I was cleaning our coffee cart area I figured I would leave a review. At first we really loved this percolator. We purchased it as a replacement for our standard 12 cup drip coffee maker. The coffee had a great flavor, and stayed extremely hot. However, even with daily use and thorough cleaning the bolt at the bottom inside of the percolator began to corrode and we were noticing a weird oil slick on the coffee in less than 6 months, which is scary and can’t be healthy. Since the electronics are in the bottom of the percolator it can’t be cleaned in the dishwasher and must be carefully hand cleaned after every use. You also have to make sure that you remember to turn off the pot because it does not have an auto shut off. Once the bolt began to corrode I cleaned and dried the pot well and stored it and went back to using our French Press. I pulled it out yesterday and noticed that the corrosion was even worse than before and since this percolator only has a year long warranty ours is no longer under warranty by the company. So it will just unfortunately end up being tossed out with the garbage. It’s a shame that products don’t last longer these days.

    This coffee pot makes great coffee, which is what i wanted, so i am pleased. For the price, a great coffee pot! Some minor issues – cleaning it isn’t easy. There is a channel that catches liquid where the top of the urn is rolled over but not pressed flat – that complicates cleaning, as it traps a bit of water at the top when you upturn it to empty… the only way to remove all liquid after cleaning is to use a towel to sop it up. I’m also a bit bummed that the spout on mine is straighter than the pictured model. It makes getting the last bit of coffee out a bit of a tip, pour, straighten, tip again, pour more, repeat process. But it makes great coffee and it wasn’t too pricey. All in all, i am pleased with my purchase.
