   OK, so I purchased this in a wave of sheer excitement at the prospect of easy cold brew at home!! I read others reviews, tips, and tricks. After a bit of a struggle with the lid I figured it out. Made sure to clean the rim of all grounds before plunging, then no grounds in coffee. Read the instructions and follow completely and you will have a great cup of cold brew!!

   I just got this and have never made cold brew coffee in one of these coffee makers yet. So on my first time using it, I let it brew for 24 hours. It makes a nice, bold flavorful cold brew coffee. But it still gets a few coffee grounds in your cup. The filter system needs to be innovated just a tad bit better to fix this issue. I really hate finding coffee grounds in my cup of coffee!

   Purchased to make ice coffee. Very easy to use, very well made no problems filling the pot and plunging the coffee to the bottom. Makes a great cup of ice coffee. Good size pot you get about 6 good cups of iced coffee out of it. Easy to clean all the parts come apart for cleaning. Not bulky doesn’t take up a lot of room in the fridge. Well worth the money!

   We have owned a Bodum for years now making our own cold brew coffee. We recently purchased another as a gift for a cold brew coffee lover. They love it too! Just add ground coffee + cold water then let it sit in the refrigerator. Enjoy as soon as a couple hours or couple days after sitting. The longer it sits, the bolder the coffee will be. If you want to get fancy, after sitting out in an ice cube tray to make cold brew coffee cubes.

   This cold brew coffee maker is amazing so far. I’ve had it a week about a week and made 2 “pots” so far. I bought a coarse, cold brew coffee and used it. I like French vanilla, so that’s what I bought.
   If you are still deciding, watch some of the review videos. They are what sold me.
   I bought a large thing of French vanilla creamer, and between the coffee and the creamer, I’m really enjoying it. I’m going to save a lot of money too since I don’t have to go to the expensive places for coffee.
   I don’t know how the seal will hold up, but it seems to be well made. I don’t see it failing anytime soon. And with the cost, it won’t make it expensive to replace if they eventually do fail somewhere down the road.
   Very glad I made this purchase. Between design and functionality it was a very good choice.

    I absolutely love this COLD BREW maker (read; not for hot water useage).

    I use this multiple times a week to make delicious cold brew coffee; saving a tonne of money by not having to go to cafes AND being able to have it all year round.

    The first time I used it I thought I had broken the press lid when I removed to put in the coffee but it just comes apart so you can clean it. It has a thumb handle stopper to control pour flow and lid locks in place.

    Great item, highly recommended. It has a all plastic easy to dis/re-assemble body and should not be used with boiling hot water; this the cold brew maker title.

    Works great. Easy to clean and easy to use. I put about 2 cups of ground coffee in there. Water. Stir and put it in the fridge at 12pm. In the morning you plug it down- it is a little stiff plugging down so you have to press a little hard. Sometimes I add cinnamon or vanilla extract. I press the button on the lid and it flows out nicely out the spout. Depending how fine you ground your coffee sometimes you will find some grounds at the button of your cup. To clean it,I dump the grounds in the trash, use a wooden spoon to scoop out the sticky grounds, then I raise and set out to dry. I don’t use any soap as I only put coffee in it with some cinnamon or vanilla extract. I don’t mind if those flavors linger in my cold brew.

    Super easy to use. Has saved me a ton of money. I add 3 bottles of water, 6 scoops of Cafe Bustelo. After 12 hours I press it. Then I add unsweetened almond milk and non-dairy chocolate sugar free creamer and blend in my nutri bullet. Or I just add a splash of sweetened almond milk.

    I’ve had this pitcher for about 4 months now. This has truly been a money saver for me. I drink coffee nearly every day, multiple times a day, so going out for coffee stopped being realistic and cold brew from the store skyrocketed in price. Which is when I bought this. The container itself is pretty slim and fits well in my busy fridge. Pretty self explanatory to use, drop the beans in, add water, I typically stir the beans to make sure they all get saturated, add the lid, and sit overnight. The least amount I’ve let them sit was about 5 hours, most about 2 days 😅 use the plunger piece, push the grounds down, and pour. Some “cons” people may have. This does use a lot of grounds. I fill up the beans to the top of the black trim, not sure how many cups or anything that is. I normally buy winco brands seasonal bags ($5) with a high caffeine bag, half and half the two, and both those bags last me about 5-6 fills in the pitcher. Which, to me, is still worth it, because it’s significantly less expensive then the other options. Also, occasionally the grounds will come up through the plunger piece, especially if you go up and down with it several times. I’ve learned to just rinse the plunger off and it’ll push all the grounds back down again. And finally, like I said, I drink a lot of coffee. I have a 24oz cup, one pitcher lasts maybe 3-4 cups worth of coffee before I have to refill it, which sometimes is one day. So it is a little small, but it makes enough for what the purpose is, and if you’re a single person or the only one drinking coffee in your house, it’s definitely a nice buy. Overall, this is probably the best purchase I’ve made in the last 6 months. The coffee has great taste, very rich, and easy to use. I would definitely buy another if the one I have ever breaks, and would recommend one to any of my cold-brew drinking friends.

    I purchased the Black Bodum Bean Cold Brew Coffee Maker and was extremely pleased with the size (1.5L) which is the perfect amount for 2 coffee drinkers to enjoy a cold brew beverage on a warm summer day. For anyone in the market for a cold brew coffee maker, you probably already know this… but NOTE: it will take 12+ hours to allow the coffee to brew in your refrigerator overnight! But it’s well worth the time to get a nice, smooth cup of coffee. The plastic carafe seems to be pretty solid and both lids (the overnight lid for freshness and french press / pouring lid for serving) fit VERY SNUG in the carafe. Almost too snug (it can be difficult to get them in/out without some effort). But for the price, the size and quality match my expectations and it performs exactly how I would expect. It says that these are dishwasher safe, but I preferred to hand wash to make sure it was cleaned thoroughly and gently. Would recommend!

    It’s as simple as this: fill the bottom of the container with a coarse ground coffee (medium or dark with notes of chocolate/citrus—my go to is the Siren’s Blend from Starbucks), then fill with filtered water and stir the coffee in to make sure it’s all wet. Pop the lid on and let it sit on the counter while you sleep and you’ll wake up to delicious cold brew. Press it down with the included French press style lid and you’re good to serve. Discarding the grounds and cleaning it out after is simple enough. Just use a wooden or rubber spoon to avoid scratching the plastic. I will say, this container isn’t very large. I have a cup of cold brew each morning and it lasts about four days. So if you drink multiple cups of cold brew each day, then you might be making cold brew quite frequently. If you just need a cup to get you by in the morning then it’s the perfect size. It also fits in the fridge very nicely because of its size.

    I won’t lie taking the lid off the first time is a pain. Especially since it tells you how to remove it in the directions.. which is conveniently shipped inside of the container. You just twist it until the arrows are at the end of each corner and pull all the way. Overall steeped coffee well, and worked as stated. I love this and hope it lasts me a while.     I bought this for my partner who is a cold brew drinker. We have several bodum items and french presses, and coffee and tea cups. We were huge fans, but also realistic when coming to use their kitchenware. This was the more affordable piece that we purchased for around $12. She only uses this piece to cold brew to ensure we do not damage the plastic. Unlike the traditional french press, you cannot take the plastic part out for cleaning. We have been careful to notice this, but her for it is great because she breaks things easily. We also love that there are two lids, because it works well with our fridge, and when she drinks it she switches the lid for pressing the grinds down. Flavor is very good, and the amount of coffee is insane. I would recommend this for individuals who have more than one hot French press, for their hot coffee use. And, have this as an extra for cold press. We cannot comment on how it works for hot coffee, we only used this for cold brew.

    Great size, it makes me about 3-4 days worth of cold brew coffee (I drink about a 8-10 oz single cup a day of cold brew since it’s much stronger). I really like the flat it comes with. Absolutely worth it, especially for such a good price. There was very little residue/sludge at the bottom of my coffee, so the strainer must do a great job (I do use coarsely ground coffee made for french press so and not finely ground).

    It’s plastic. Even though it’s for cold presses, because it’s also supposed to be a dispenser, the green tea tannins stain and etch into the plastic. It looks terrible and now I wonder what kind of chemicals leached into my tea! The good -Inexpensive at under $13 -Nice dispensing weight -Awesome thumb lever that allows the liquid to dispense -When you don’t push the thumb lever, the container is basically spill-proof! Awesome. -It comes with a spill-proof lid without a plunger for brewing -The rubber handle is designed well and feels sturdy and non-slip -51 oz capacity The bad -It’s plastic -The plunger allows a few large pieces of tea leaves to escape (I only brewed organic green tea in this) -the tea tannins stained the plastic within 2 months of daily use -the tea tannins on the mesh of the plunger etched rings into the plastic

    I bought this item last year. The description wasn’t clear and I thought it would be made of glass like the Bodum products that I used to own. Then it started getting thermal shock cracks in the bottom but it didn’t leak. Today I filled with water and it started leaking really bad so now it’s in the garbage. This is exactly why I wouldn’t have bought this item if I knew it was plastic and not glass.

    I’m no cold brew connoisseur, but I do drink a lot of it! I was tired of paying outrageous prices for cold coffee with a bit of whip in it so I decided to hunt down my own cold brew maker! This reminded me of my boyfriend’s French press only on steroids. I immediately got it out of the box, washed it, added my favorite coffee and cold water. I put this bad boy in the fridge to watch the magic happen. After about 18 hours I figured it was good to go. I used the press top and it filtered the coffee grounds to the bottom. When I poured there was no coffee grind floaties! The flavor was strong, bold and smooth with none of the bitterness. Delicious! I added some chocolate whipped foam and it was perfect!     　水出しにこだわって、まろやかな感じの味になるので美味しく飲んでいます。
    作り方も簡単です。珈琲粉を自分の好みの量（味を決めるまで試行錯誤しましたけど）を入れ、本器に水（水道水ですが、カルキ臭を飛ばすのに湯覚ましにしています）を灌ぐだけ。
    あとは常に冷蔵庫で冷やしています。
    　ただ、水出しですので時間がかかります。ですから飲み切ったあと、作り始めて飲めるようになるまでの間が辛いです（笑）なか一日麦茶で我慢なんてことはよくあります。
    　もう一個あってタイムロスを失くしたら解消する問題ですが、容器が大きくて場所の確保が難しいです（笑）

    I was sooo skeptical about this because of the reviews. However, it was around $12.00-13.00 so I said what the hell- I’ll buy a cheap one to start out and see if I even like the process. I am in LOVE with it. These pictures are after my first use – washed out & prepped for the 2nd use. No scratches, no coffee grounds stuck in places there shouldn’t be, no cracks or broken pieces. This cold brewer comes with a lid for your initial storage period of about 12-24 hours and then the lid with the press that you keep in the reminder of the time it’s in the fridge. So easy guys! When pulling the lid off the first time it was SO tight I was nervous that it wouldn’t work well. After it had been in the fridge and was time to press I was nervous that it would be hard to push down and make a mess however it slid down like butter, so if you struggle at first don’t worry! I just used regular ground coffee bought from our local grocery store and there was not a single coffee ground in my coffee. You do have to use quite a bit of coffee if you’re filling the entire thing up with water but it does average out of you think about how many k-cups you use over a few days. I filled mine up the entire way both my first and second time and I got about 5-7 cups of coffee from it. This product is totally worth it for the price and I am so glad I didn’t listen to the bad comments because I think it’s wonderful, especially for 12.00! I attached pictures of the instructions because they’re placed inside the coffee maker which was frustrating at first so hopefully this helps someone else haha.

    I have been drinking ice coffee exclusively for about 15 years and buy whole beans and grind with a burr grinder. I had the queen of ice coffee makers (OXO) for many many years. It worked well even after my daughter knocked it off the counter and cracked the bottom part of the brewing container. After many years it has started to leak; the seals have worn away. I was looking for another iced coffee maker that could make about 32 Oz of dark concentrate iced coffee. I tried. Few of the infusion type available on coffeemakers.us.com and these type just can’t make concentrate no matter how long it is left to brew. If you want concentrate don’t bother with those. The water and coffee have to have a face to face meeting – anything else just doesn’t do the trick. Next I turned to French press style. I have always resisted this type due to my exp with hot brewing French press- ie super weak coffee. I bought this unit and after some exp I am pleasantly surprised and a bit delighted with it. I grind and fill it up with about 3 inches of coffee and leave it on the counter over night with the regular lid. Next day I put it in the fridge and let it set for another day. Then I switch the lids and press. I tried pouring it into another container at that point but there was too much coffee sludge. So now I leave it alone and just pour it from the press. No residue at all. When there is a few servings left I pour it out slowly into another container leaving the residue behind. It is easy to clean and I repeat the process. It makes a surprisingly large amount of concentrate and is actually easier to use than than the OXO and I use half the amount of coffee now to make just a bit less than I did with the OXO. It is a little big in the fridge so you need a wide space for it. I haven’t tried the other French press style ice coffee brewers so I cannot compare, but this one works great, is super inexpensive, uses less coffee grounds and is easy to clean. I highly recommend it.

    Love the product. I already own one prior to this purchase and wanted two. Don’t love the lint and gunk from it being a previously returned item that was poorly cleaned. The coffeemakers.us.com packaging was sealed, so the moment I took it out of the box and saw a pet hair on it I was confused how a pet hair got into the package. Then I saw the rest. Looks like paper towel lint inside from wiping it down but it was hard to grab a picture of that through the glass. Great product, just wish they tried a little harder to send me a clean item. Plan to just keep it and run it through the washer since I don’t want to deal with replacing it when it functions.

    So far so good with this cold brew maker. I was a bit concerned about the coffee grinds and if they would make their way into the coffee but so far it’s been working well. The plunger has held them down without issue. I’ve been able to make some cold brew coffee similar to Starbucks and I have control over what I’m putting in so I have control over the calories as well.
