   I don’t know what the folks at Cuisinart were thinking. On the surface it does all the stuff. 2 hour set up just to get coffee. Functions I have tested all work. I’ll have to keep the instruction manual with it to use and no guests will be using it. For the price I would not buy again.

   I purchased it last year and never used it until last week. It sat in the box in my office. I use the kcup side and it doesn’t make the coffee and leaks. Only fills the cup with hot water. When open the top there are coffee grounds all over the top. Second I used the expresso side it doesn’t work either. It’s doesn’t puncture the foil lid. Tired for 2 days to contact customer service but still haven’t received a response. Total waste of 300 dollars. Will not recommend

   Some days I want the ease of a K pod, some days I must have a latte, and sometimes I have friends over and want a whole pot of coffee. This beautiful little baby does it all, and it doesn’t overwhelm my counter space. I love it. My only complaint it that the hot water option is no hotter than the hottest water out of the faucet. That was disappointing, because I would love to make a cup of tea with it. Very happy with this product and would recommend it.

   It pretty amazing, except for 1 major design flaw. The steam/hot water wand doesn’t move like espresso machines do. It’s 3 inches above the counter. My wife used it to make tea. She spilled half of trying to get it out. And I don’t know how it’s possible to steam a pitcher of milk as pictured in the manual

    Says it works with a Nespresso pods, we used them and it got stuck. Couldn’t open the pods compartment, so had to use tools. Tried it again thinking maybe we put it in wrong and it happened again. Now it’s all scratched and broken. Tried contacting cuisinart customer service and got no response.     Love separate water reservoirs for ground coffee and pods. The water refill area for the ground coffee is very narrow. The water level is on the left side so if it’s against the wall, it’s hard to read. Also like the hot water feature. We used the frother a couple of times and found that it has to be thoroughly cleaned after each use. It’s a little tough to find the exact nspesso pods for making espresso. The pump is loud.
    Overall it makes great coffee despite the quirks, which is all I really care about.

    I love the idea of this coffee maker (one appliance instead of three on my counter), but it just has so many flaws. 1. Buttons – the buttons need to be double clicked – once to wake it up and once to select Brew or Off. Guests think they are brewing coffee but really they only woke it up, so no coffee until you realize it’s doing nothing. 2, Dials – the dial to select the Kcup or Espresso is sensitive. If you press it wrong, it will change the size or change to Water. It should click rather than spin so freely. 3. Kcup inconsistent results. The Kcups explode out the top on occasion. Cheap or expensive, it doesn’t matter. It’s happened at least 4 times now with different mfgs of them. I think it happens when the water tank if full and the pressure of the water explodes the Kcup. I’ve tried double piercing the bottom and the top but it doesn’t work. Even when it doesn’t explode the cup always has grounds in it. 4. Hard to clean the Kcup dispenser – so when it does explode or even just when it squirts water all around the top, there are so many crevices that the grounds get in that cleaning it is a nightmare. The coffee tastes fine and it makes a nice pot of coffee but if you’re making more kcups than pots of coffee, be warned.

    I’ve utilized the brew, K-cup, and Nespresso pods, and all have been fantastic. The water tank is quite sizable and easy to pull out and in (my machine is on a wheeled platform to roll out). The only issue that I have had repeatedly on both the K-cup and Nespresso is that about 10% of the time, I get a hot cup of water. I turn the machine off and on, switch between Nespresso and K-cup, rebrew, and then it works. It’s not reseating the pods so I have no idea why it’s happening or how in the world the water is traveling around the pods. I can’t troubleshoot anything because it’s all under its locked top.

    We were Ninja users for the past few years, and I went through lemon after lemon with them. So when the 3rd one in a year decided to kick it, I decided to research to find out what I should replace it with. I wanted something that does a pot of coffee, and lattes and doesn’t break within 6 months. We haven’t had it 6 months yet, but I’m writing a review anyway because it is so much better than the Ninja, it isn’t even comparable. The BOLD feature for brewing coffee makes the best pot of coffee I have ever made at home. People are complimenting the coffee and wondering what we are doing to make it so good. We use pre-ground Starbucks and filtered water: nothing special, but the results with the BOLD feature are fresh and tasty. It took some time to learn how to use it, but I love my machine! Hopefully, it will last for years!

    I know this is mid-range in cost, but I expect more. Starting with what I see as design flaws. It is very hard tell if there is coffee already made in the carafe. (see photos). The water reservoir is in the rear of the coffeemaker which makes it difficult to be able to empty a full carafe of water into the reservoir for drip coffee. To add water for espresso or k-cup serving the water reservoir is in the back of the machine so you must pull it out from the wall to access the reservoir. There is no way to turn the machine off once coffee is made and the carafe is emptied. Not until it reaches its full warming cycle and then it automatically shuts off. This seems like it could cause carafes to burn or scorch as they are left on warming plate empty. The temperature of the coffee is not very hot, and cools down far too fast (cools down to barely lukewarm after a few sips) which says it wasnt very hot to start. Finally the motor on the espresso part of coffeemaker is unbelievably loud when making espresso. (listen to video) I kept it for a week and tried to like it or get used to it, but it only frustrates me. So I am now back to the drawing board to find a decent coffee/k-cup/espresso maker 🙁 Right now to have a coffeemaker that combines drip coffee, espresso and k-cups it appears that there are only two choices on the market at this time, this one and the Ninja.

    Purchased end of July 2023. After 2-1/2 months of almost everyday usage, we’re pleased with this “all-in-one-coffee-machine” despite of some poorly engineered designs. See photo provided. You will have this experience. We had a regular cuisinart coffee maker we purchased in 2017. We had the same problem with this condensation. We got rid of that coffee machine and replaced it with Moccamaster. Unfortunately, Moccamaster finally met it’s demise early 2023. We wanted to replace it with a coffee machine that can make brew regular coffee, espresso and K-cups. We were also looking at one of Ninja’s model, however, we took a chance with this so-called high-end cuisinart coffee machine even though we were worried about the condensation problem we had with our previous cuisinart coffee maker. Cuisinart definitely need to re-engineer their coffee maker. They should start with making it easier to fill the water reservoir without spilling water everywhere. They also need to figure out how minimize the condensation problem. The Moccamaster we had never had problems with condensation. It was also easy to fill water in the reservoir. Despite of Cuisinart’s shortcomings, we still recommend this coffee machine.

    The coffee pot portion and the k cup portion work fine, as expected. That said, and we’ve had this machine for many months at this point, the Nespresso pod feature is not good. I buy Nespresso brand pods as I always have with my previous machines, and this machine makes it less frothy and most importantly, more than half the time, there are coffee grounds that come through. Like a lot of them (see picture). I wouldn’t buy it again.

    Worst coffee brewer I’ve owned. When I use k cups it rips the top and the coffee grounds and water spill all over the place. See photo . I’ve read all the instructions and done as specified. We tried the coffee pot today with the gold basket and there were grounds in the coffee pot as well. Will not be buying a Cuisinart product again. Company sent me a new coffee pot. Very pleased with the replacement. Good customer service!

    Cleaning this is easy. It has an auto shut off for drip coffee. It’s fast at making drip but it the speed of the espresso is a bit slow. The capacity of drip brew is twelve cups. Temperature of coffee is nice and hot. It has double water tanks one for the drip and one for the pods. Overall performance is excellent!

    This has been a WONDERFUL addition to my kitchen! Want a cup of soup from a soup mix? Use the instant hot water dispenser. (Which also steams milk, etc. with a turn of the button.) Want a quick cup of pick-me-up espresso? Use the single serve function and your choice of Nespresso originals. Want to brew a cup of tea with those tasty loose teas in your cupboard that you never brew because you don’t want to have to clean the tea strainer? Use a Fanativita Disposable Coffee Filter for K-Carafe with a Cuisinart SS-RFC HomeBarista Reusable Filter Cup and all you’ll do is pull the biodegradable/compostable paper filter out and toss it or recycle. I highly recommend this Barista system and also the two other products I mention above. They will add pleasure and convenience to your daily routine. By the way, my husband just loves that he can have hot cocoa any morning he wants it….even if we’re out of milk. 🙂 (I also got the delicious Starbucks hot cocoa K-Cup Pods.) Little treats to share and enjoy can make your day!

    We have been using the machine for a few days now. So far, we have been having so much fun making our own fancy coffee drinks. We have it sitting on a sliding bamboo tray that we also bought on coffeemakers.us.com. That makes it easier to roll it forward to remove the water tank and lifts the machine slightly so we can more easily get a milk pitcher under the steamer nozzle. Then today, the lid got stuck! I had seen a few reviews complaining about this happening but no one ever said how they fixed it. We tried running several Nespresso cycles and nothing was happening. The machine made noises like it was brewing and beeped at the end but no water ever came out. What ended up working was running a k-cup cycle and then a Nespresso cycle. We let it sit for a couple of minutes and it suddenly made a hissing noise and released the pressure. Then we were able to open the lid as normal. It could have been the pod (it was a Peet’s coffee branded Nespresso compatible pod) We’ll stick to only Nespresso line pods from now on. Hope this helps someone else!

    Looks great and works exceptionally well except the milk frother is lame, very lame. In the instruction booklet, you state to fill the reservoir. I only saw the one in back of the unit. I had to call your help desk to help me find where to place water to make a full pot of coffee. I should have watched the videos on YouTube.

    Makes a great cup of coffee. My husband and I actually taste the difference from our old pot. The espresso uses nepresso pods which are pretty good, however I dislike using one-time use items. K-cups are also an option, (I purchased the refillable insert offered) which makes it great for offering a cup to contractors, guests, without making a whole pot. Only caveat is that it’s huge.

    Once I got through the instructions and figured out exactly how it works, my husband and I both love it. It took patience and time. You just have to know that it has to be on brew(knob has to click) to set the clock. (The brew setting didn’t quite line up to the mark on dial; hence feeling the click). The Auto off is in 1, 2, 3, or 4 hours. (That confused us at first). The top buttons are for the 12 cup process. The bottom button is for the one cup. The signals are on inner timers; they will eventually shut off accordingly. We love the notification when water is low. (I purchased the discounted option; so it was missing a filter; I just called the manufacturer and they sent the missing item). I ordered a reusable pod set separately. Just have patience and take the time to get it all figured out.. In the end, after completing the setup and getting a rolling tray; we’re fully satisfied!!

    I did some major research on a new coffee maker! The coffee maker was a Cuisinart! A good brand! It had to have an aluminum capsule compartment with a forther! The only disappointment was no grinder was attached to the machine. My husband said his coffee was better tasting and he liked the glass container with the warming base! I love the forther! I used the capsule for my espresso! Just be careful of the aluminum capsule brands you buy! Some of them don’t fit well and water may jet out from the machine!

    This machine had everything I wanted all in one machine . I thought the 1st one was just a lemon so I ordered a 2nd one because I loved the idea of everything all in one. BOTH machines got grounds in the k-cup section every time. I am talking the k-cup would burst and 1/2 the grounds were in the cup. The first one I tried everything to make it work (cleaning it, buying different pods etc) I waited too long to send it back for a refund or replacement so I threw it in the trash. I ordered a 2nd one in hopes I just had a lemon the 1st time, but the 2nd one did the same thing. I am done now and will just purchase separate machines to do what I want and they will not be Cuisinart. It all sounds good on paper. Sadly it just doesn’t work well.

    **Update about a year later** This coffee maker makes the hottest coffee, so I love that. About 6 months ago we would wake up to a puddle of water on the floor. The tank seems to leak for the coffee pod water tank. Really wish I would have stuck with my Keurig. Never had this problem with them. I was very hopeful for this coffee maker. It makes the hottest coffee I have ever had and I love that. I don’t like anything else. We mostly use pods and it leaks where the pods go in. I was willing to overlook that but we have not even had it a year and it’s causing more issues that it is work. I paid well over $300 for this and I’m not impressed.
