   very disappointed. just only after 14-months, this product started leaking water from behind the pot. is this supposed to be a disposable item?! no matter the amount of coffee I brew, 2, 3, 4, or 5 cups…it still leaks.

   Bought this to replace the Mr. Coffee that also collapsed the filter allowing grounds into the pot. Like the front loading of water and coffee. Followed all directions and suggestions from the instruction manual. My husband even trimmed one side to allow the filter cut to close perfectly. No way to keep the grounds out of the pot. I’ll be returning this coffee maker. Going back to simple maker without the program feature.

   Very nice coffee maker. Easy to clean. Coffee nice and hot. The clock does not work at all doesn’t even light up. We do not need it going to keep it instead of returning it. Makes great coffee.
   UP DATE Clock works great. Just need to be smart enough to remove the plastic sticker on face of clock. Dum on my part going to give it 5 stars.

    Works great! Read all the other reviews, and for the money, this does the job. It does have about 5 seconds in between it’s heating and dispense drip, but if you’re in that big of a hurry for your coffee, wake up earlier is all I can suggest. It really doesn’t take that long for the coffee maker to brew a full fresh 5 cups. The auto timer is easy to use and clear to see. Just press and hold and set your time. There is a sticker over it, with fake clock numbers. Just remove it and there’s your programming buttons for time, regular or Bold, options. Red light on right side, indicates it’s on and brewing, also it has s auto shut off after two hours, so you don’t have to worry, did I leave the coffee pot on!!!?!? Works great for hot tea and coffee. Easy to rinse out used coffee grinds for next pot of fresh coffee! Compact design fits easily in small space and take to travel.

    I love this little thing! It has every feature I could want in a drip coffee maker and the perfect size. I have never gotten the programming feature to work but it’s just as easy to set up your grounds and water the night before and click “brew” as soon as you get up. It brews very quickly.

    One thing to note, most grocery store bags of ground coffee are very fine so if you use too much grounds, the water will filter through it too slowly and get backed up and you’ll end up with grounds in your coffee and a mess. The easy way to fix this is use a little less coffee per water, OR grind the coffee yourself and make sure it’s not as fine.

    Seems good at first but when you poor for 5 cups of water, after brewing, there’s only 4 cups. There’s also a manufacturing defect : a part of the machine seems to be “open” (as show on the picture). I tried to close it but it’s not working. So I do not recommend this coffee machine

    Except for the carafe the coffee maker was exactly as I expected. It is compact and very easy to use. The glass carafe is very thin and the top of the handle connects directly to the class. Very poor design. I am using a Mr. coffee carafe until I hopefully get a replacement

    The Hamilton Beach 5 cup coffee maker is just what the doctor ordered. It does make a great cup of coffee, but as the title says … read the instructions very carefully. They are written or transferred to the site by a person whose first language is NOT ENGLISH. I can understand why some of the purchasers couldn’t get the machine to operate, or co-operate. Some of the instructions are not clear … such as, how to get the clock started. I had to play with it for a “few” frustrating minutes before it dawned on me that I needed a thirteen years old to get it working. [A Thirteen Year Old with a computer mentality]. When that light came on, it was clear sailing.

    As compared to the single serve Kuerig coffee maker it replaced, it makes a CUP OF COFFEE. For instance … I used three (3) LEVEL coffee scoops with four (4) cups of water … on regular, NOT robust … and the coffee was COFFEE! And, the brew was HOT, not lukewarm.

    I paid a fair price, and got a good coffee maker. You won’t be sorry for the purchase. But, READ THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY and you’ll not get frustrated.

    Love this little coffee maker. I live alone and got rid of my Keurig pot because it was so big on my countertop. This little pot is perfect and I wanted it to be one that I could set a timer to have coffee when I get up in the morning. It works great. Takes up very little space on the counter.     I got this for Christmas 2022, today it wouldn’t allow me to program for self start. I unplugged it hoping that would fix it and instead got the pictured error. My last coffee maker lasted years, the only downside to that one was not being able to prep it the night before. Bummed!

    I love that everything is operated from the front! I’m in a wheelchair and my kitchen has tall counters. So being able to fill the reservoir is super convenient – no more spills! I bought the programmable version so my nose wakes me every morning now, and it’s fantastic. Highly recommended for individuals. My wife loves her k-cup coffee machine, but I still prefer to have the coffee aroma in the air first thing in the morning, and the last thing before bed. Very impressed with the design and function.

    I need a mini coffee machine and this one is the right size, but I regret buying it because the water temperature is not high enough to stimulate the aroma of the coffee. When I put the same coffee in my old coffee machine, I can smell the aroma of the coffee from upstairs as long as it starts.

    I gave this coffee maker 3 stars because it has 2 design flaws, in my opinion. Before I get to that, I must say it does make a fine cup of coffee and allows you to choose either regular or bold. It fits nicely under a cabinet to give you more counter space and the basket swings out to the left instead of having the lid pop up to expose the basket and water fill. The coffee is made quickly and is hot as long as you don’t add milk/cream, but I put the cup in the microwave for about 40 seconds before sitting down or else I will have to get up and do it half way through breakfast anyway. A+ for those features. Now, for the flaws: It is programmable, so it has a clock. You will need a flashlight to set it, as it has NO backlight to let you see the time (see pic). Next I wanted to try programming it for 20 minutes later while I got the sausages and eggs ready. Apparently since I was not programming it for hours later, it would not take the program. I tried it twice following the instructions carefully but w/o changing the hour it failed. Hamilton Beach needs to remedy these problems, otherwise you’re paying for amenities you’re not able to utilize.
