Bottom line: this is a phenomenal cold brew maker – IF you have time to filter. Pros: durable, simple, makes delicious cold brew, easy to clean, affordable Cons: when using pre-ground coffee, there is a ton of sediment, which takes time to filter out Worth it? Absolutely! I ordered this bad boy and couldn’t wait to use it once it arrived. Easy: open, clean, fill the filter with grounds to the top line level on the jar (will leave a few inches on top – picture included). Then pour cold, filtered water slowly over the grounds, up just past the top line on the jar so all the grounds are submerged. I stirred the grounds for about 5 minutes. Seal the jar with lid. I did this at 4pm, and let the jar sit out until I went to bed, which was around midnight. Then I stuck it on the fridge. At 9am the next morning, I stirred the grounds once more, then dumped them. Cleaning the filter was a breeze with a soft baby bottle brush. I then went through the painful process of filtering out the sediment. A lot of people won’t do this because it is time-consuming and you do lose a little bit of coffee. But honestly, losing a bit of coffee is worth having clean, filtered coffee in my mind. I transferred the cold brew to a bowl, where I mixed it with a simple syrup I had just made. Then I rinsed out the jar and began filtering. I used a pour-over with a coffee filter to strain all of the sediment out. It took about 20 minutes and required multiple coffee filters, but was 100% WORTH IT. The end result was a delicious, balanced, robust and CLEAN cold brew that I immediately poured over ice and added cream to. Wow all around. Everything about this system is great, but the tedious process of filtering again means minus 1 star. I had found another cold brew system with a second filter and do wish I had gone with that one. Regardless, this is a fantastic option if you’re either 1) open to sediment; 2) grind your own beans and use a more coarse ground; or 3) have time to filter. I was really excited about starting my first batch of cold brew. I filled the jar with coffee grounds and water. As I was screwing the lid on I realized there was water spreading all over the counter. When I lifted the jar to inspect what was happening a whole section of glass broke loose. It was like a drain plug released and the whole contents of the jar gushed out. It was a huge mess of water and grounds. I have never seen a glass jar break like that. Im guessing the glass just had a weak spot from an imperfection in the glass. The ironic thing is “Durable” is right there in the name but this particular jar is not. As far as I know the filter and lid are still good but now I need a jar to use with them. As for the filter and the lid, both are good quality and easy to clean. I needed a bottle brush to scrub the inside of the filter because it’s too long and skinny to reach in there with my hand. The mason jar would be easy to clean as well because the opening is big enough for me to get my hand in there to scrub it with a sponge. I think this would be a good cold brew system if it weren’t for the broken jar. I will get a new jar and try again.

After a couple of months of using this, I can confirm that this is one of my favorite purchases. I actually use it for making tea, but you can use it to make coffee too. I think they sell separate ones for tea vs coffee because the tastes might start to mingle and taste weird. This coffee maker was slightly cheaper than the tea one, so I bought this one instead. I agree with others that it would be great if this was a little bigger, however as the picture shows, I just put it in the fridge at night, then in the morning when it is ready, I pour it into the larger container to the right. That way I can still drink some while I am making a new batch. I don’t like to drink plain water, and I get sick of the water flavorings out there pretty quick, so drinking tea is a staple for me. It was quickly adding up to buy quarts of tea several times per week. Since I bought this, I use it nearly every day. I have not had it break, crack, or anything like that. I’d imagine if I had a porcelain sink that might be different though. It’s super easy to make and clean. For tea, I just take the large Lipton iced tea bags and dump the grounded tea into the strainer. To clean, just dump out into the trash (or compost), and then use the high setting on your faucet’ spray head to remove what’s leftover. This has already paid for itself in the first month of use. I highly recommend for anyone that regularly drinks coffee or tea!

As soon as this arrived I had it washed and set up to start making cold brew. Obviously this I have no idea how the coffee will taste right now but I’m hopeful. Likes: My hand can fit inside the mouth of the jar, which makes it easier to wash. Mesh filter is very ridged. Didn’t flex in my hands or feel like it wouldn’t last. The pour cap I’m expecting to make pouring much easier since the jar is a larger size will require me to use both hands. Dislikes: The pourtop lid and the mesh filter both have seals. I could not get a tight seal using both as the instructions suggest. I ended up having to take the seal from the filter off which allowed the lid to screw on tightly. Even shaking the jar (as the instructions suggest) there were no leaks. Shaking the jar causes the grinds to go everywhere inside the cap. It just seems silly since now I’ll have to wash the cap before pouring the brew. I wish it came with a lid for storing in the fridge. Not a terrible huge deal and something that might not bother others as it does me. Especially since coffeemakers.us.com only sells lids in packs of 16 for this size. Oh well I bought another jar which I figured I would anyway since I drink a rather large cup daily. It comes with a lid so I should eventually have one jar for drinking and one for brewing. I would recommend this purchase but I would suggest looking around first, maybe another company offers one with both lids.

Easily the best purchase I’ve ever made! Will pay for itself in a week comparing the cost against a daily cold brew at my local coffee house. I’ve been making cold brew at home using a mason jar and wrapping my grounds in a filter but inevitably, one of the filters would break trying to remove or the flavor just wasn’t quite right. The cone shaped filter is very well made, perfect for the jar size and has a silicone ring to secure it in place. (My photo shows the filter resting upside down to make the ring visible.) It holds the exact amount of coffee needed to produce a robust coffee concentrate, or less if you’d prefer. To clean the grounds out, I let it stand in a bowl to finish draining and then use an offset spatula to remove the grounds. A few taps over a garbage and it’s mostly cleaned out. Another great feature is the lid and handle attachment. I’ve dropped a few regular mason jars removing them from my fridge, this handle will ensure that happens far less often (let’s be real, I’m just clumsy!). Overall a really great product. Handle is sturdy and the filter well made, seems like it will last!

**UPDATE to the UPDATE** Yep…. ordered another one. I can’t stress it enough. THE BEST cold brew kit on coffeemakers.us.com. The rubber gasket that fits between the filter and the mason jar makes for less drips and mess. The filter extends nearly to the bottom of the mason jar to ensure that the coffee grounds get maximum saturation. **UPDATE** I’m one of those people who’s always looking for a better / faster / easier way to do something. Over the last few years I’ve tried other stainless filters and various brewing methods but I always go back to this exact kit. There are other kits that look the same, but the filters ARE NOT the same quality and always leave MUCH MORE sediment in the bottom of the jar. OTHER FILTERS – When you get to the bottom of the batch the coffee is like mud and undrinkable. The COUNTY LINE KITCHEN filter leaves VERY LITTLE sediment. I make a half gallon every 3 days and each batch is consistently awesome to the last cup. I prefer to let the coffee brew for at least a whole day and most often I let it go for a full 48 hours. I let it set on the counter at room temp vs brewing in the fridge. The longer brewing time at room temp produces a VERY BOLD and concentrated brew. This filter is solidly built and will last for years.. DO NOT let coffee grounds set in it after draining. Dried coffee will clog the screen. You have to clean it after each use and once a month I scrub it out and make sure the screen is clean and clear. The plastic spout makes pouring easier than unscrewing a metal top. This is the best kit by a mile! I give these cold brew kits out to friends as gifts. Once they make their own cold brew, they never again pay $4 for a cup. This setup, with the fine mesh cone filter, half gallon mason jug, and the plastic sealing lid is the best way to make cold brew. FORGET the fancy & expensive brewing systems… they’re a joke compared to this easy to use kit. My preference is to use semi-coarse ground beans and luke warm filtered tap water. I fill the filter 90% full with coffee and I set the brew on the kitchen counter for 32- 48 hours. The coffee comes out strong and very flavorful. I’ve tried store bought stuff from several well known brands and I’m always left thinking I’m drinking colored water…. no coffee taste. Try letting yours brew for 48 hours… pull the filter up and let it drain for about 15 minutes. Mix in a little of your favorite creamer and enjoy

I bought this as a gift for my sister who loves her iced coffee and she absolutely loves it! I did test it out once before giving it to her to make sure all was well because I bough a month in advance and I was shocked at how smooth and strong the coffee was. I actually ended up giving it to her early she liked the coffee so much. I plan on buying one for myself now too but the larger size bottle. The coffee maker comes with the little booklet with recipes and the company sent an email to make sure the product was satisfactory a few days after arrival. All materials were in pristine condition, the lid fits perfectly on the jar, the handle feels sturdy, and the flip top stays secure. So far there have been no leaks or other issues. The silicone ring is also amazing, the lid has a notch for easy removal and cleaning which for me is a huge plus. I was amazed at the difference in flavor that cold brew brought. Something I learned is the color of the brew doesn’t necessarily tell you the strength. The color was still pretty light after the full 24 hours so I thought it was going to be a weaker brew and boy was I pleasantly surprised to be wrong! The flavor was rich, smooth, and strong, all the things I like in my coffee. The only thing I’d have to add which is more a suggestion and for awareness than a complaint is that you do have to let the coffee or tea steep the entire time before pouring since there is no filter between the lid and the filter contents. Swirling to agitate and mix the contents a little is key because shaking will get grounds or leaves on the underside of the lid. Overall I’d 100% recommend this product and seller.

I have owned this product for almost a year and a half now. This makes the smoothest cold coffee and it’s so simple. I corse grind a medium roast Caribou coffee. Fill the stainless steel filter to about an inch from the top. Slowly add quality water right to the top, no city chlorinated water. Put the lid on and place it in the refrigerator. I like 48 hours to really extract the flavor but 24 hours cut the mustard if you can’t wait. I have a Caribou glass that has air in between to insulate and keep the coffee cold once pored. I prefer not to add ice so I retain the strong, smooth, acid free taste. It is the best cold coffee you will ever make at home. I do like hot coffee in the winter months but hot summer morning require cold brew. Friends and family that have tried my cold brew can’t believe how wonderful the coffee taste. Ive always bought the cold brew “concentrate” from the store where i was able to just use one cup of the concentrate and then mix equal parts with whatever mix (water, creamer, premier protein, etc) and that was enough for my daily coffee. I was worried this wouldnt be strong enough and id have to use more, or that it wouldnt be more cost efficent over just buying the bottles at the store. I saw someone in the reviews post that it came with specific instructions for concentrate for them but mine did not, so ive included a photo of the current instructions as of Aug 2024. I ended up brewing mine for 48 hours and I am happy to say that it came out nice and strong and i was still able to do my 1:1 mix of coffee vs creamer. Over time this will work out being cheaper as the bottles i was buying were 11 bucks for 4 cups of coffee. I bought a bag of coffee from target for 8 bucks (which i could probably shop around for a cheaper option). I bought a 10 oz bag and used over half of it, so it does take a good amount of coffee to brew. Either way though, ill get 3 rounds out of 2 bags of coffee at 16 dollars versus 33 for 3 bottles. The coffee tasted really good and smooth and there were zero grounds in it. The process is super easy and the bottle is actually very nice quality. (I got the 64 oz one with a handle). Hope this helps someone who might be wondering about the strength!!!

I bought the 32 oz. cold brew jar with no handle. The item arrived intact and unbroken. 1 jar, 1 lid, 1 filter, 1 rubber gasket. The filter is built strong. It can hold up a 5 lb. weight. The filter is very fine, particles that pass through will have to be very fine. I used my typical cold brew recipe and it worked fine. There were no noticeable grounds in the coffee after I removed the filter. I think this will work with nut milk recipes. The filter, lid, and gasket fit on my real Kerr Mason Jars. Recipes will have to be adjust a little. The filter takes up some space in the jar. I didn’t measure the amount of lost but it was a little.

I originally bought this to be more sustainable and not buy plastic jugs of coffee every week. However, this is all I use now. I have the 64oz/2 quarts. If you drink coffee daily, get the biggest size. Pros: -The mesh part is fine enough that I never have a problem with coffee grounds getting out. -Buy the handle. It is too big and heavy when full to pour one-handed without the handle. -You could buy more glass jars if it breaks or if you like to make a lot of coffee. Cons: -the mesh part is a little difficult to rinse out and clean well. -I wish it came in other colors besides blue. -With any homemade cold brew, I feel like I can never get the storebought coffee taste. Note: It did take me some research and a few batches to get the right taste for me. You have to use coarse ground beans or it will turn out very bitter. I found better results sitting on the counter for 20-24 hours than in the fridge for 24-48 hours. I also mix it with almond milk so it is not as strong.

As the header suggest, the sift is too small for a1:8 ratio for a full quart, not a huge issue but could have been better suited, it means now that I have to make a ¾ of a quart – something I wished I knew before. I really enjoy cold coffee year round. We already had a smaller County Line cold brew mason jar, so we decided to go with this larger version. I didn’t realize how big it was until it showed up. It easily gets me through the week. One thing I was worried about when I first filled it up is the plastic handle. I wasn’t sure it was going to hold up to the weight of the glass jar plus the coffee and water. However, it is very sturdy. It doesn’t flex at all when the jar is full. And it screws on very snuggly, so there’s no worrying if anything will leak out when pouring. The lid on the pour spout also closes tightly, so no worries about anything getting out unless you want it to. If we had a need for more cold brew for the week, we’d definitely pick up another one.

After doing some basic research on cold brew makers I settled on this one and boy am I glad I did. I absolutely love this product. It’s super easy to use and makes really smooth cold brew coffee. The method I use is pretty simple. I grind whole beans coarse. You want it coarse to prevent coffee grounds going through the filter into the water. By the way that’s not a bad thing so don’t worry if you have some coffee grinds in your cold brew. I feel the filter up so there’s maybe an inch or two remaining from the top and then I add lukewarm water almost to the top of the jar but not totally full. I closed the lid and let it sit on the counter for at least 18 hours. Once that is done I remove the filter throw out the grinds. Now the instructions that come with this jar will say that this makes a concentrate and you should add water. If you go into Starbucks you’ll see that’s how they make it to they’ll fill your cup with maybe a quarter of the way with the concentrate and then add water. What I do is when you remove the filter after 24 hours the brewed coffee level will drop. I then add water directly to the jar until it’s near the top again and that’s enough. I then put it in the refrigerator and let it get nice and cold. Of course you can just add ice to your cup as well.

Yep. This says it’s a cold brew coffee maker but I bought it to make infused water. This was my first try at making raspberry infused water and it is delicious!! The strainer inside the quart bottle is so fine that nothing but the raspberry flavor gets into the water. No sediment or seeds. I’m so excited to try other fruits, veggies, herbs, etc. in it! Although I’m new to cold brewing I did do quite a bit of research before buying this cold brew system. And I’d highly recommend it to anyone. A couple quick tips for those getting started for the first time. 1. First, for those of you on a municipal water system your water is probably chlorinated. Mine is, so before I start to make a batch I fill a big bowl with cold water and let it sit on the counter while I’m grinding the coffee beans. This lets the chlorine evaporate off, not that it would probably hurt anything but I’d rather not have it in my coffee. Those of you on a private well don’t have to worry about it. 2. Next, grind your coffee beans to a medium grind. Pre-ground coffee would probably work but a lot of it would get through the strainer. Some will anyway regardless, but I just pour off the last slowly and discard any grounds that settle to the bottom. 3. Next, put the strainer and gasket in the jar and fill the strainer about half to 2/3 full of grounds. They’ll expand as they get wet so any more than that will sit above the water level and get wasted. Pour the water slowly through the grounds in the strainer when filling the container to the fill line. 4. Don’t put the cover on too tight, especially if you’re going to be putting in the fridge. The rubber gaskets get hard when they get cold so if you really tighten them you’ll have a pretty hard time getting the cover off to take the grounds out before use. 5. There are a few factors in how strong the final brew is. First is the coffee beans you use, I use a medium or breakfast blend. Next is the brewing time, I usually go 15-20 hours. Finally, you can affect the brew by where you let it sit. You’ll get stronger coffee if you let it sit at room temperature as opposed to in the fridge. I do a mix of both depending on when I start. If I make a batch in the morning I’ll let it sit on the counter for several hours and then put it in the fridge overnight. If I make a batch in the afternoon I just let it sit on the counter overnight. Finally, take the cover off and remove the strainer and grounds. I drink the coffee straight up as I use a medium blend, if it’s too strong you can always dilute it as you wish. After drinking cold brew for a while, it’s amazing how harsh hot-brewed coffee tastes now. I’ll never go back.

Bottom line: this is a phenomenal cold brew maker – IF you have time to filter. Pros: durable, simple, makes delicious cold brew, easy to clean, affordable Cons: when using pre-ground coffee, there is a ton of sediment, which takes time to filter out Worth it? Absolutely! I ordered this bad boy and couldn’t wait to use it once it arrived. Easy: open, clean, fill the filter with grounds to the top line level on the jar (will leave a few inches on top – picture included). Then pour cold, filtered water slowly over the grounds, up just past the top line on the jar so all the grounds are submerged. I stirred the grounds for about 5 minutes. Seal the jar with lid. I did this at 4pm, and let the jar sit out until I went to bed, which was around midnight. Then I stuck it on the fridge. At 9am the next morning, I stirred the grounds once more, then dumped them. Cleaning the filter was a breeze with a soft baby bottle brush. I then went through the painful process of filtering out the sediment. A lot of people won’t do this because it is time-consuming and you do lose a little bit of coffee. But honestly, losing a bit of coffee is worth having clean, filtered coffee in my mind. I transferred the cold brew to a bowl, where I mixed it with a simple syrup I had just made. Then I rinsed out the jar and began filtering. I used a pour-over with a coffee filter to strain all of the sediment out. It took about 20 minutes and required multiple coffee filters, but was 100% WORTH IT. The end result was a delicious, balanced, robust and CLEAN cold brew that I immediately poured over ice and added cream to. Wow all around. Everything about this system is great, but the tedious process of filtering again means minus 1 star. I had found another cold brew system with a second filter and do wish I had gone with that one. Regardless, this is a fantastic option if you’re either 1) open to sediment; 2) grind your own beans and use a more coarse ground; or 3) have time to filter. I’ve been making iced coffee the normal way through a high end Bunn coffee maker for years. I would double the grounds and then put it over ice and got two or three days worth of iced coffee that was pretty good. I didn’t realize that way was really just kinda average until I tried this thing. I really like this item. The filters mesh quality is heavy duty and the lids are excellent. I’ve been using it for about a month. And I now know what I’m doing. A little trial and error will get you exactly the strength of iced coffee you want. My method includes 16 heaping tablespoons of coffee and then max fill the jar with cold water. Flow the water directly through the grounds in the mesh filter of course. It takes a few minutes to flow through. Then I put it in the fridge for 18-24 hours, and remove the filter and grounds (letting all the good stuff drip into the jar before setting aside). I attached some pictures and a quick video. This method makes what is essentially an iced coffee concentrate. Super strong and powerful if you drink that straight. I add a little water and then get 5 to 6 days of really delish iced coffee. I’d suggest getting a second glass jar and lid. I make another batch and put this one in the dishwasher. I’m most impressed with the stainless steel mesh filter quality. Five star item.

CL cold brew container! I give this product 5 stars, because it works great for me. I use it with coffee grounds and could see where iced tea would work great, also! I bought this a couple years ago and it’s one of the best coffeemakers.us.com purchases I’ve made. It’s a very simple design of a handle with a lid, and a cylindrical filter with a couple of gaskets. I use a large 3 pint mason jar with mine and it makes excellent cold brew coffee as long as you brew it the night before and stick it in the fridge. After all the times I’ve used it every week for the last couple of years there is no leaks or cracks of any kind, this is a high quality item. I recommend it for anyone who enjoys cold brew coffee and doesn’t want to pay to get it at the coffee shop everyday.

I’ve been using a Keurig for years making iced coffee out of a hot brew that melted all of the ice and still wasn’t cold. The Keurig is no longer needed! Save yourself a lot of money and buy this!

I originally bought this to be more sustainable and not buy plastic jugs of coffee every week. However, this is all I use now. I have the 64oz/2 quarts. If you drink coffee daily, get the biggest size. Pros: -The mesh part is fine enough that I never have a problem with coffee grounds getting out. -Buy the handle. It is too big and heavy when full to pour one-handed without the handle. -You could buy more glass jars if it breaks or if you like to make a lot of coffee. Cons: -the mesh part is a little difficult to rinse out and clean well. -I wish it came in other colors besides blue. -With any homemade cold brew, I feel like I can never get the storebought coffee taste. Note: It did take me some research and a few batches to get the right taste for me. You have to use coarse ground beans or it will turn out very bitter. I found better results sitting on the counter for 20-24 hours than in the fridge for 24-48 hours. I also mix it with almond milk so it is not as strong.

Update, right after a month, looks like 2 cracks appeared on the glass jar. See photos for details. I didn’t pour hot water to the jar nor in a dishwasher, only hand washed in tap water while using room temperature water to brew my coffee. It cracks from top of jar to the bottom. Slightly disappointed. It is a very simple cold brew coffee marker, a mason jar, a lid, a stainless steel strainer and a ring (or seal, thats what they called) I got a small one (32oz, without handle) and I used the Lavazza Crema E Gusto Dark Roast coffee bean. I am new to the cold brew world, and I dont want to spend too much money, this item is nothing fancy, just straight forward, grind your bean, add water and put into the fridge for 24 to 48 hours(some experts said you can leave it in room temperature, but it is summer, so I prefer it cold, but will try it otherwise). I suggest you open it couple times during the brewing process to stir your grinded beans, as they will float on top of the liquid. For about $20, it is as simple and as fool-proof as it can get, it is slightly taller than a soda can, and the diameter is about twice of the size of a soda can. It is quite simple to clean, after brewing, dump the coffee ground (mix it to your garden soil, your plants will thank you, make sure you spread the ground very thin) and shake under the faucet for less than a minute, and done. No moving parts, how easy is that. Love it and if you want to try a cold brew coffee maker or and “infuser” for tea or other beverages, you should give this a try.
