   Dec 2023 update. I have this same model at work for the coffee kcup drinkers. I accidentally ordered a box of green tea kcups instead of pods. One day, I wasn’t feeling well and broke out a tea kcup to throw in the machine. I didn’t rinse off the pieces first. To my happiness, my tea didn’t taste at all like coffee. Didn’t have grounds in it either. So, there’s that! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is my 2nd ninja coffee maker. As long as they keep innovating their products, I will be a dedicated fan. I had my first Ninja for 3 years before it started to leak. I had taken for granted how easy the Ninja made my morning routine, so I bought a different brand as a replacement that looked “fine”. It was fine, but was more involved than I wanted it to be. And I missed my Ninja. Also, when I found out that Ninja has a separate line for hot/boiling water, I became obsessed with getting my hands on it. PROS: Convenient water reservoir – 60 oz – that can be moved to the back from the side, if that suits your set up. Easy reservoir to remove, fill, and return to the base. Or, fill with a pitcher. Delay start – I mean, who doesn’t like to have their coffee waiting for them. SEPARATE HOT/BOILING WATER DISPENSER for tea, hot chocolate, instant oatmeal, instant soups, etc. This is an amazing option to have available!! No tea drinker likes using the coffee maker for their tea. This is a total game changer. Coffee pod adapter – if you like to use pods, you have that option. And it is easy to use and easy to clean. [I bought this same machine for my office lunchroom. It meets everybody’s needs. The tea drinker gets his tea, everybody gets to choose their favorite coffee pod, and everyone gets to choose the strength of coffee they want. We stored the carafe, as we aren’t likely to use it much there.] Cone shaped permanent filter, with option to add a paper filter (size 2 fits perfectly; size 4 fits, but needs to be squished down) if you prefer. Loose grounds really make the best coffee. Wide range of coffee sizes to choose from (unless you use pods, and then you are limited, probably bc it doesn’t make sense to make 20 oz of coffee with a pod) Open/close manual feature. If you are waiting for the pot to fill and need to sneak a cup, I really like that there is a slide knob to manually move from right to left, AND it shows you on the display panel if it is open or closed. Built in coffee scoop. I can never find mine for some reason. The fact that this one has a storage spot on the machine makes my mornings super easy. Frother. It doesn’t heat your milk, but it is fun to use. It is attached to the machine, and pulls in and out for easy use. It lies flush when stored. The frother part is easy to remove for easy cleaning. A really fun bonus. Sometimes I froth my creamer before adding it, cold even, and it’s just a little different treat. The control panel is intuitive and easy to use to select your favorite options. It didn’t take a lot of thought to make an assortment of coffee styles. I love that. Cleaning feature for descaling. Personally, I prefer having this option than not. You can use vinegar or coffee descaler. Cup platform. Also attached to the machine, and flips up and out of the way when not in use. Perfection. Smart hot plate. The user manual says this isn’t available on all models, but it is included on mine. (Possibly not on the models with thermal carafe?) This it’s my second newest favorite feature. Small size cups of coffee do not turn on the hot plate, but half carafe or larger does (you also have the option of manually turning the hot plate on to keep a cup of coffee warm). So, I can use any travel mug with this machine and make almost limitless sizes that I want. The machine tells you how many ounces and the quick start guide tells you how many of their scoops to use, from individual cups all the way to a full carafe. *****There is little-to-no thinking involved******. Which leads to my next favorite feature. The footprint is fairly small, given all the features. The Ninja machine at work is set up for daily pod use. My machine at home is set up for grounds in a filter. Changing back and forth isn’t that hard, but being able to use the machine the way I want to without changing it, is absolute perfection. Granted, I am the only person at my home using this machine, but adding the pod adapter isn’t hard at all. The Ninja pod adapter is the only thing you have to change to use a pod. The top cover slides back, and you drop in the adapter and slide it forward to lock it in. To go back to filter, you push the adapter backward to unlock the adapter, pop it out, put the permanent filter back in, and slide the cover forward. That’s it. Cons I had a little struggle at set up with both office and home machines understanding how the cover and adapter worked together and getting them to operate smoothly. This was totally fixable by a thorough reading of the instructions, but once I got it, I got it, and I feel silly that it took me a minute. Maybe bc the feature is totally different than any other coffee maker. The user manual says that reusable pod filters are not compatible. However, it is easy to use the permanent filter, even for small cups of coffee, that this shouldn’t be a deal breaker. SUMMARY The build is solid, intuitive, and multifunctional with very little thought required. Easily adaptable and useful for multiple types of hot beverage drinkers. I am so happy with my Ninja coffee maker. It just makes my mornings go smoother on my way out the door, or enjoying a specialty coffee on the weekends. You really can’t go wrong here. Highly recommend 👌!!

   I bought this to replace a 10+ year old Keurig that finally gave out, and so far this has been not just a worthy replacement, but a pretty nice upgrade as well. The build quality feels solid, and it’s much easier to clean than my old Keurig. In the Keurig, loose grounds and water would sometimes spill out into the area around the top of the k-cup holder, which could be difficult to clean. In the Ninja, that whole area where grounds used to accumulate pops out easily and can be cleaned in either the sink or the dishwasher, though I haven’t even seen any loose grounds there yet. Despite having a lot of options, this thing is also pretty easy to figure out, and has a nice little beep to let you know when your coffee’s ready. The drip stopper switch is also really satisfyingly clunky, which I know a lot of people won’t care about, but I appreciate. The coffee quality is great, provided you’re using good quality beans or k-cups. I’ve tried some single-serve coffee makers that don’t seem to ever make good coffee, regardless of what you put in them, so I’m glad this one isn’t like that. My only complaints are that it doesn’t have a low-water warning, it just stops mid-brew and beeps several times if it runs out, and it makes a high-pitched whine when it’s brewing, almost like a dog whistle. Most people I don’t think would even notice that, but I hace more sensitive hearing than most people, so it kinda bothers me, but not enough to ruin it by any means. Overall, I’d highly recommend it

   Really impressed with this coffee maker and at first was a little intimidated but its so easy to get used to and the options abound. We’ve had the basics, Mr. Coffee’s little 5 cup maker for years, and decided to upgrade. Worth it. The delay brew is a game changer. Double tap and adjust settings. Amazing. We’ve tried all its capabilites and even made tea and cocoa. The carafe isn’t exactly my favorite design and always leaves a little coffee behind… but it doesn’t leak coffee all over the counter while pouring like the Mr. Coffee carafe does. So that’s a win in my book. The hot or boiling water setting rocks as well. Water comes out really hot really fast and speaking of water the tank is adjustable to back or side. I also really enjoy the frother. Makes me feel like I should be drinking coffee with my pinky up. Fancy like. The warming plate has adjustable timer settings and keeps coffee the perfect temp without burning – which is bomb to a mom who never gets to finish a cup of Joe before 3pm. Pro tip put your coffee mug with coffee on the warmer to keep coffee warm. I didn’t even cover all the specs but you get the point. All in all. Awesome purchase. Love it. Unfortunately, I can’t speak to longevity yet. *1 year update I still LOVE this coffee pot, it works like a boss for everything from iced coffee to teas, coco, and special brews. Im so thrilled to report the touch screen is still very responsive with no issues and its been very easy to keep clean, as well a properly funtioning wisk and warming tray. The only negative I could find on this machine in about a year of use is the silver NINJA label has started to wash off a bit but it’s pretty minor and obviously doesn’t affect my coffee in any way so it’s not a huge deal to me. I highly recommend this coffee maker. It has served us very well.

   My 6-year-old Keurig finally bit the dust this week, and I decided to try the Ninja DualBrew. I got it yesterday and set it up. I ran a 55-oz. pot of water through, per the setup instructions. After that, I brewed a cup using a k-cup. (My mistake there was using my stainless froth pitcher and not paying attention to the amount of coffee that was dispensed.) I was testing a k-cup brand that had previously always given an error on my Keurig, so getting anything was a success as far as I was concerned. I then removed the basket and rinsed everything so I could run water for a cup of tea. I used a smaller mug that I know takes 8 oz. of water and it overflowed. I emptied some of the water and set my tea to steep while I grabbed a measuring cup to run another test and make sure I wasn’t just misremembering my cup’s size. Sure enough, the 8 oz. setting poured 12 oz. into my measuring cup. At that point, it was late, so I knew I would be waiting until today to research the issue. I have now been searching for the last hour and have not found this issue documented anywhere. I have one other test I want to try later, but, for now, I will be brewing everything into the pot. Hence the 3 stars, for now. Everything tastes good and *seems* easy to use, but I want to be able to brew directly into a cup as designed and not have to constantly re-teach every guest I have how to make coffee. Will update again once resolved.

   Bought to replace our Cuisinart. It is made well and easy to use once you get used to it. I prefer the Cuisinart because of a few things: The K cup in the Ninja is another basket you need to insert (kind of a pain), it only keeps your coffee warm for 2 hours then shuts off, (Cuisinart can be set for 4 hours), the coffee pitcher is a bit small, and the worst thing — it is SUPER bubbling and steaming loud. It wakes everyone in the morning and the sound invades your dreams. A friend staying with us dreamed there was a gas leak and woke up in a panic. We told her — That’s just the Ninja. It is a nice looking machine and works fine other than that, but we will be putting this thing in the garage shop and keep the Cuisinart in the kitchen. We wanted to like it, but the Cuisinart is the better 2 in 1 coffee maker.

   This coffee maker is sleek and stylish and even has the option of placing the water reservoir to the back or to the side – extremely useful if you’re limited on space. The most astonishing, yet simple idea is to make a drip coffee maker like a Keurig where the water reservoir is always available and you don’t have to try to pour a carafe of water to a certain cup level each time you want to make coffee. This simplistic idea makes this an absolute must purchase. I’ve never been a fan of Keurig coffee, it’s just my personal thing. I do own a Nespresso so it’s not the pod thing, perhaps just the beginning machines and the thin coffee that I didn’t like. The Keurig/pod attachment is a great bonus for those people who do take one cup of coffee with them in the morning. The hot water option is nice for a quick cup of tea if you’re not brewing a pot, although you could brew a steeping pot full. You have the option of making the water temperature boiling hot. My daughter likes to use this to make a quick cup of cocoa, quicker and easier than the microwave. I haven’t yet done an iced beverage, but look forward to this. The milk frother works nicely, but you do have to warm your milk beforehand. It’s not a milk steamer. For that, I guess you have to buy a Breville. If you’re a budding barista and you like espresso drinks, the time and energy expended using a Breville will fill that need. This coffee pot makes a great pot of coffee. Ninja is the name brand in our kitchen from our smoothies to our flip toaster oven, air fryer/grill, mixer/food processor, now coffee maker. I think this is an amazingly innovative company and the quality is amazing in each product. I think I want to work there! If they come out with a washer and dryer, I’m going to be the first one in line 😊

   We are coffee drinkers for sure. I transferred over to Ninja on my last coffee pot purchase. Unfortunately, it had some problems….I decided I wanted an updated Ninja and found this one. Nice is that it is capable of making a “pot” of coffee or single cups. It also has a feature about “ice” –never have used so I can’t speak to that. I wanted a larger reservoir which this one has. I love the choices for size of cups of coffee–6, 8, 10, 12…..The only negative is the cup holding plate can overflow–and their isn’t anything to catch it. No problem, I just put a measuring cup underneath and empty every few days. The coffee is great tasting and I feel it makes my morning so great. It is usually “ready” almost immediately. We never use the “pot” of coffee: we love the single serve because it is like getting a fresh made coffee at a drive thru. One thing I miss that was on my other Ninja was the “foam” feature. This doesn’t have a foam feature on it. So I just bought an inexpensive coffee whip for my foam. I don’t regret this purchase and hope to use it for a long time.

    It makes very good coffee. I do use the jugs of boughten water but you can use tap water. I like the water tank on the side and it shows clearly how much water is in it. I can put my tall Yeti cup under it for coffee. I can even use ground coffee with the permanent filters I purchased. The coffee is hot without using the boiling choice. A nice feature is you can make tea with the other water source so it doesn’t get the coffee flavor. I like the size of the Ninja. There’s a spoon attached to the side of the coffee maker for measuring the coffee grounds. There’s a frother too if one so desired. I’m happy with Ninja products and this is a delight. It agrees with my wiring which a different brand didn’t.

    We really wanted a coffee maker that we can use with a travel mug or a coffee pot. This one works perfectly for that! Anytime you use the cup/mug (travel) setting the warmer plate automatically turns off, so you can stick your mug on the plate without it heating. This is a 20oz mug and the 18oz rich travel setting fills perfectly. This is our second ninja coffee maker and we had good luck with the first. We changed because of the travel mug setting. I would recommend this maker!

    It is bigger than I realized/thought doesn’t take up a massive amount of counter space. I love the touch screen and how easy it is to set the time and program it. It seems complicated but was actually very easy to figure out. One of my favorite features is the Keep Warm function- the plate has a red warning sign that lets you know the plate is still hot/on and you can set the time for how many hours you want the plate to stay warm. Secondly, I love the brew options for single serves or how I can brew a half pot, 3/4th or a full pot. And the no drip option is a plus (just use the lever under the interface to close the spout.). It also has a built in frother, which is obviously easy to use- just a button and it works very well. The reservoir is large, which is also a plus- if you mostly use single serve, you won’t have to constantly fill the water tank like with smaller single serve machines. Overall, I love this machine! There are so many brew options and they even give you a receipt book for specialty brews. It’s easy to figure out but I would recommend using YouTube for a better demonstration as the instructions aren’t great. One thing I read that most people don’t like is the it takes a minute or so to warm up but that doesn’t bother me especially because I’ll mostly be programming mine to automatically brew in the morning.

    Tons of features. Takes a few minutes to figure them out but it’s a very versatile coffee machine with several functions. Great for rental homes if you include an instruction sheet on the features because it offers a lot of options. If it’s for your everyday use you’ll love it too. The hot water option that bypasses the coffee lines is an advantage. There are several coffee modes and sizes with an added bonus of being able to brew a pot of coffee OR use a K-cup. The frother has good power and froths well, but it’s not heated. The wording is tricky in the coffeemakers.us.com description, but it only froths the milk, it doesn’t heat it. Overall, I’m very happy with this. It’s not as simple as some other machines but has such a variety of features that it’s worth the few minutes it takes to learn about its functions. Very happy.

    I really feel like I have all I need concerning coffee! I have been using Nespresso for over 15 years. But ironically, my husband and I do not drink thick espresso coffee, so always double the water volume. We were not happy with narrow choices of coffee, and wanted to different coffee flavors. I am also a heavy tea & granulated coffee drinker, so as a morning routine, I boil 1.5 liter water and keep it in the thermos for the day. I chose Ninja dualbrew pro over Keurig dual coffee machine because Ninja takes much less space, and had coffee jar warming function. (Was 70 dollars cheaper too!!) Ninja dualbrew pro substituted 1 Nespresso machine, 1 ground coffee machine for big guests, 1 french press coffee maker, 1 water pot, 1 hot water thermos and 1 milk frother.. I almost feel bad so many machines and gadgets I used everyday completely retired ever since Ninja came, and takes up space in the cabinet, unused.. My husband and I prefer keurig coffee intensity to Nespresso, and I use hot water function for everything! I bought ninja competible stainless steel reusable pod together, and enjoy my favorite coffee! Unlike some old comments here, you can find several different kinds of reusable pod in the coffeemakers.us.com. Unlike keurig dual machine, Ninja has 1 spout for both ground and pod coffee, so you have to insert or take out your pod cartridge. It is a bit complicated at first, but direction is engraved on the machine and written on the sticker, so I could do it without looking up the manual pretty easily after I forgot how to do it. Big ground coffee pot is sufficient for home parties! Versatile water can position allows me to choose the depth and width of the machine. Very easy to clean the pod cartridge or ground coffee spout. Couldn’t be happier that we got new coffee machine. I seriously recommend this!!!!

    My wife ordered this Ninja on coffeemakers.us.com UK and when delivered we found that it was for use in the USA , with a US plug attached this machine was dispatched to us from Europe, when a electrical coffee maker comes with a US Plug with 120 voltage and UK on 230 V it’s definitely not fit for purpose in the UK

    I loved this so much, I bought two. One for home and one for office. We wanted the flexibility of full pot or Keurig type pods. We use the suggested reusable pods – I hate the disposable pods, you can see the reusable ones in the picture. We bought a pack of 5 reusable filter pods so there is always a clean one available, then clean at end of day, etc… Make sure to get the compatible filter pods that have three holes at top. They are super easy to use and durable. The coffee maker never leaks as long as you keep the main filter in place. There are two parts, the main filter cup and the Keurig pod holder that fits into the filter cup. They are both easy to remove and clean, we clean daily and we love the ease of use. We use the frother daily, warm up milk for 15 secs in the microwave then froth and add coffee. The frother pops off for easy clean up and pops back on. Love the digital controls, super nice selections. Water tank comes off easy to fill and clean. Water tank can be on side or back, we keep on the side. This is the most versatile coffee maker I have used. Love it!! I really like to keep everything clean at end of the day and this one makes it so easy. Oh yeah, the coffee it makes is great and by not using Keurig disposable pods, you save a tone of money. You also use a lot less coffee grounds with reusable pods vs standard filter style coffee.

    Second one; first failed but was under warranty after about 3 years. This machine is the bomb! Just get it, worth the cost and can make payments. The K-cup part works great and if you need a bunch of coffee quickly, you can use the carafe which stays hot as the pad it sits in gets warm to keep it warm, Also, it has a great frothier attached on the side; easy to twist off to clean and twist back on. We use a powdered creamer so it works perfectly! My favorite feature is that it can make ICED COFFEE! Now I can have a mocha frappe regularly, 👍!
    Another great feature, one can turn a knob on the side and put a cup under the K-cup part—-can set it for hot water! (Then move the side knob back where the coffee bean icon is for coffee again). You can set water to “hot” or “boiling” also. This is great for making hot tea when one is sick or just for those who are tea-drinkers more. Also, we make hot chocolate easily by putting the water over the powder in packet (alternatively, you could use the k-cup type of hot cocoa). Works very smoothly and is user-friendly.
