   Decided to give it a little trial run using Espresso brew pods from Starbucks which are reviewed as having the richest flavor comparable to instore. However I’m pretty disappointed by that claim especially using what’s suppose to be the best brewer sold by keurig. Having tested all brew settings at different temperatures and sizes I can it makes entirely no difference in flavor or richness. I was hoping this wouldn’t be the case as I’ve been using a Vurto Nespresso machine that was the same price as this model and much older, and there is no comparison at all. I would have to say Keurig is not for those who love a strong cup of coffee. Not now or probably ever.

   I held off on getting a keurig because I could never get a cup of coffee strong enough when I used my friends’ and families’ machine. With the new multi stream technology in this machine, I was able to get the flavor I wanted. Love the Wi-Fi connection, it is brewed by the time I get to the kitchen. Only downside is the mess it makes while brewing. My counter is speckled with coffee stains after every cup.

   This is BY FAR the worst coffee maker I have ever used. 1. Sometimes it fills my cup up. Sometimes it only pours half an ounce and stops. It had literally wasted 3-5 pods MANY times just for me to get one cup of coffee. 2. The needles don’t pierce the top of the pod. This causes water and coffee grounds to get all over everything. My coffee always ends up full of coffee grounds. 3. WiFi does not work. I’ve had to spend 15-20 minutes every single morning going through the reconnection process just for it to disconnect minutes later. DO NOT WASTE TOUR MONEY ON THIS JUNK

    Best Keurig yet. I was using both a drip coffee maker and an earlier version of a Keurig machine. I was worried at first this machine would be too complicated for my my mother to use but I also wanted the taste of drip brewed coffee. I couldn’t have made a better choice. The Keurig K-Supreme Plus SMART is simple to use and tastes just like drip brewed coffee. Even smells like drip brewed. Got rid of the drip coffee maker and gained some counter space. Mom has no trouble using the features of the K-Supreme Plus Smart and she loves the ability to choose different strengths and temperatures for her different teas. I love the taste and smell of the coffee. I’ve read other reviews in which people complain the pod recognition feature doesn’t work but it’s never been an issue for us. The recognition feature is only a suggestion of how to brew that particular coffee but you can easily change the temp and strength regardless of what the machine recommends. The water container is easy to fill and clean. I also like that the machine shuts itself off between uses and doesn’t need to be on all day. No need to program an on and off time for each day because the machine turns on when you use it and shuts off when you’re done. The display reminds you to connect the machine to the app but unless you stand there and stare at the display after you brew your coffee, the machine (and its display) shuts off when idle between brews. This reminder has never been an issue for me. We have very limited counter space and this machine fits right into small places. Mom is short and she can still see the display on top of the machine. Whether you use it at home or at the office, the appearance is perfect. I bought a second machine for my office and everyone loves it. Professional looking, easy to use for both employees and clients. I highly recommend this machine.

    I have used this specific machine at a friend’s and fell in love with the features. When I received my Keurig it turned on for a few minutes and got hot and then turned off, never to come on again. I called Keurig to see if they would troubleshoot, but they couldn’t help me because the serial number is not visible. It just wasn’t meant to be for me. It’s a beautiful machine. Returned.

    UPDATE: November 7th, 2024 Yeah, LoL, absolute trash. I bought this February 24th, 2024. Those who are astute will notice that was a mere 9 months ago. The last 2 weeks, I have gone through roughly 20 wasted k-cups due to this brewer not finishing and having ‘ERROR CODE 2’ on the screen. I followed online troubleshooting, which is an elaborate “have you tried turning it off and on again”. I then called and spoke to a representative who, as always, spoke perfect English and didn’t interrupt me once (sarcasm). During this call, I had to follow the same steps I had already done and since the error is intermittent, the brew completed while on the phone. This was after “according to her records” I bought the machine in 2021 – so I had to be very firm and share the exact date I bought it as I was looking at the order and receipt on my PC screen at that very moment. She was in the process of telling me how she will send me a coupon (to buy k-cups from only their store, I’m sure) while I was trying to interrupt her and tell her that it won’t fix it. I was also brewing a second cup at that moment, and it gave me an error code that time. Eventually, I had to speak very loudly and talk to someone in a way I don’t enjoy. Not swearing or anything like that, but I had to be firm and raise my voice to get her to stop talking and trying to push me off the phone. Nobody should ever have to do that. It ended with them sending me a warranty replacement. I’m going to use it for the moment, because I don’t have a choice. But I’m looking at Ninja’s offerings now, since this cheap plastic “smart” one is the best they offer now. It didn’t use to be like this. They used to have lights, style, touch screens, wallpapers, etc. And they used to last at least 5 years of more than average use. What happened to you, Keurig? To finish the abhorrent phone call, I was told to wait on the line for a breif survey… I was hung up on instead. That’s one way to make sure you don’t get bad reviews, I guess? ________________________________________________________________________________________________ I don’t know what happened to Keurig. My last 3 makers (that’s right, merely 3, since 2008) lasted very long. And were very reliable. I always bought the best one since ours is used daily multiple times. This one, however, not only looks like generic crap with plastic everywhere and no lights in the reservoir and junky plastic buttons – but it is also 100% pointless getting the smart version. The remote brew *never* works. All I wanted was to be able to start my coffee remotely as I’m getting out of bed. But the app to do this is just horrific. It usually reports it as ‘brewing’ when you open the app, despite it not being touched yet. Or you start it, and it doesn’t actually start, so you walk out to an empty cup. Possibly worst of all, it takes about 5 steps to get to the part where you can brew remotely, including a fingerprint, lol. And lastly, the scheduled remote brew doesn’t actually start it – it waits for you to click brew anyway. In case your cup isn’t under it… Now I could swear I was able to set a remote brew on my coffee pot before Keurig made k-cups. Even before the Internet. This is of course not user error. I have very strong home networking with a high performance gigabit internet, $200 modem, and $400 router because I have over 35 connected devices. I have, of course, cleared cache and factory reset the app many times. It’s junk. Do not waste your time or money getting the “smart” one because the only thing they really want is the opportunity to try to hook you in their coffee subscription – that’s the purpose of all of this. To get you to open the app and possibly buy monthly coffee, lol. Will update if they ever do the right thing and separate the brewing to its own app. But I doubt it because everything needs a subscription these days to be profitable (sarcasm).

    We’ve had the Classic and Elite Keurig. This one is the best we’ve had so far in my opinion. Here’s some thoughts that may help if you’re trying to decide between Keurig models that I wondered about because it can be overwhelming trying to read each models options. I honestly don’t think we need the WiFi option on it, but if your a person that likes to start your coffee from your phone or tablet while you’re siting on the couch or in bed then this would be a neat option for you. You can do different settings in the App as well. If that doesn’t matter to you then I’d think about choosing the K supreme plus (without the ‘smart’ option) that has all the same options ( I believe) without the WiFi and costs less. The options on this model are more than we’ve had on previous Keurigs: 1. You can save personal favorite settings and just press that one button each time instead of choosing the strength and temp each time. I believe there’s 3 favorite settings you can save for 3 people or 3 options . 2. More options for the temperature (see the video) I put the thermometer under it while it was running at the hottest setting. ( see pictures) The hottest it got up to was 182 while dripping, the cup of coffee right when it stopped filling up was about 173 degrees . For us that’s pretty hot and does get hotter than the Eilite we had previously. 3. More options for the strength (see the video) 4. 5 prongs vs 1 puncture the pod to get more flavor out of your coffee which I did notice. 5. WiFi settings if that’s something you’d like to have are pretty neat. You don’t have to be connected to WIFi though to use the Keurig it’s just an extra option. 6. A lot Quieter than the other Keurigs we’ve used . 7. It tells you if a used pod is in the machine so you remember to take it out and not reuse it. 8. It takes a picture of the coffee pod you put in and sets the machines settings to where it feels you’d get the best cup of coffee from that brand or type of pod you put in and you just hit start. ( Or you can bypass it and choose what you want) 9. The handle on the water side is awesome, much easier to take off and on to fill up. It hold just a little more water than the elite but looks smaller. 10. It is a slimmer shape and doesn’t take up a ton of room. It’s kind of an L shape , you can’t move the water to the back like on another Keurig model but the way it sits is great for us & still takes up less room than previous models. 11. This may seem little but it has a spring to the top which makes it nicer and easier to open than previous keurigs. The time it takes to fill your cup is a little longer the stronger you go but that’s a good thing in my opinion it just means it’s letting the water soak into your pod to get more flavor from your coffee. People mentioned it splatters out of their cup when it’s filling their cup up so I was worried about that. I did notice a few little splashes with some dots of coffee on the counter which isn’t fabulous but it’s really not much at all to wipe it down each time. It’s really very very little. This Keurig model we feel is the best one we’ve gotten due to the extra options , doesn’t take up as much counter space and looks very pretty in my opinion…it’s not plasticky looking like the previous ones , the top part is a pretty shiny black metal and feels heavy. We bought this on sale when coffeemakers.us.com was having their prime day deals and very happy we did. I still think it’s worth the normal price even not being on sale.

    My beloved 60 ounce tank, 12 year old, Keurig gurgled its last this past Friday night. I was left cup in hand, staring at my empty cup, at my Keurig, at my cup, at my Keurig. I ran to coffeemakers.us.com and picked the best Keurig I could get the quickest. After I ordered it, I went back and looked at the reviews and was a little scared because some look negative. I’ve had it since Saturday afternoon, made several cups of coffee, using many different types of K cups and can say it’s a superlative device, with a 78 ounce tank too, woo hoo!. It has virtually no warm up, so fast and quiet, I was surprised to see a full cup of coffee under the brewer. I confess to being a K cup hoarder, I have hundreds of them, maybe 6 years old (or more, don’t judge). I put a 4 year old one in last night and it was more delicious than when it was new. For me the best feature is the temperature control, I want be able to drink my morning coffee and not be late for work or burn off the lining of my mouth, so I brew on the coolest setting. It is a Smart brew and I had problems connecting to the WiFi using my iPhone, it kept saying my password was wrong. To make it work I used my iPad which has no cell service attached to it and followed the directions on the Keurig App to connect to my 2.4 GHz WIFI network, not the 5. It set up correctly the first time and I brewed my first Brew ID cup, delicious! I did have to close and open the App on my phone to see the Brewer listed on it once I got it online. Another problem I read about, but didn’t have, was the machine getting a message that you need to fill the reservoir, even though it’s filled. You need to use unfiltered tap water if you use the provided filter. With filtered water, the Keurig filter doesn’t sense the minerals in the water and thinks there is no water, so it doesn’t work. After my first Brew ID, I got the cute note I uploaded. Can caffeine give you a glow hmmm? I hope you enjoy your Keurig as much as I do mine.

Normally I would just return a defective item, but this time there was a support option. I followed the coffeemakers.us.com support representatives instructions on a possible solution to the problem, but that didn’t fix the screen. Supports next step was to contact Keurig on how to handle the damaged item and I’m currently waiting to hear back from them.

    Dont buy the fancy models with the extra displays and bluetooth/wifi because it’s not worth it!! Myself and so many others have had to start using the Supreme Smart model without being able to see the screen that indicates strength and hotness as the screen has gone nearly totally blank. Works great otherwise, but waiting to see what occurs when its time for descaling. Again, DON’T get the fancy models as the screens all go bad after 1tor 2 years.

    I’ve had a Keurig mini for five or so years and decided to upgrade to one that has a water reservoir so I ordered the K Supreme Smart Plus. Unfortunately I will be returning it. It splatters everywhere (see pic). The water dripping is slow. Although it heats the water faster than the mini, it’s overall a longer waiting time because it flows much slower while it’s splattering everywhere. I’m going to try a commercial model Keurig and then if that one is this bad, I’ll try a Cuisinart.

    Update! 3 to 2 stars POS This newer keurig unit works half the time. Sometimes it will work without any errors for a few weeks. Error code 11 will pop up from time to time. Or Add Water even if the reservoir is full. I typically uplug it and leave unplugged for 5 mins and start again to reset it. Even powering it off by holding the center K button doesn’t really reset it. Overall ok unit but can make you angry.

    I’ve used Keurig for ~10 years. This is the first model that has me considering another pod / cup coffee machine. Firstly, within the first 3 weeks (24 days) of use there was an error message and would not brew. After doing a descaling procedure it worked again. Secondly, I do not like the “smart” feature where it takes 3-5 seconds to “recognize” if there are preferred brewing instructions on the cup (of which I only use my “favorite” brew setting. These features do not save time, steps nor improve the coffee taste. I do like the handle on the water reservoir and the overall look. Sadly the functionality is disappointing.

    Worked wellish, then stopped working mid-brew when it ran out of water. While most “smart” coffeemakers would tell you to add water, this one did not. The screen turned black and it shut down. As started by the manufacturer, we tried unplugging it so it would reset. That did not work. The machine is bricked. The coffee was never great with this machine. It tasted okay, but we always had coffee grounds floating in our cups, no matter which kcups we used. And it was always much slower than our previous Keurigs.

    I wanted a machine that I could adjust strength and temperature. We usually always grind our own coffee and use reusable k cups. This seemed perfect, until I tried using reusable cups. It doesn’t recognize it as coffee, only water. Upset that I had to return…I started thinking about it…and I put a paper k cup filter in the reusable cups (k cup must have the five holes on top!) I put my fresh ground coffee in, closed the paper top and lid and sure enough, the machine recognized it as coffee! I can adjust flavor, temperature and amount! Perfect brew!

    Didn’t notice any difference in flavor with the multi stream technology, 78oz reservoir was very nice – didn’t have to fill it up as often, and the temp selector was nice if you like hot coffee – which we do, was slower brewing compared to our old Keurig, splattered coffee on the counter with every brew – we used the same mugs and cups as we did with our old one and never had a problem.

    Out of the box the Keurig K-Supreme Plus fails at the most basic task.. brewing an entire cup of coffee. It dispenses a small amount of water before rebooting. It does not connect to wifi. The process to discover this, and to retry, is long and painful. After repeated attempts we gave up. Far more frustration than brewing a single cup of coffee warrants.
