   This is an excellent 5 cup coffee maker! For a person who drinks 2 cups in the morning, this totally works for me! Very easy to clean. No need for filters. My coffee tasted excellent! The size is fantastic! This 5 cup coffee maker would be ideal for students living in the dorms, or a military member who lives in the dorms, or for someone like myself, as I said, who only drinks about 2 cups of coffee in the morning.    This is pretty decent coffee maker for such a small size. I’m surprised that it has some features that are often found in more expensive version of coffee makers such as auto stop spout when the pot is not on the warmer. It does a good job making and brewing coffee and does not require a college degree to figure out how to use. Just fill the reservoir with water and flip the switch then wait for it to finish. It shuts itself off 2 hours after you flip the switch so you don’t have to worry about dry boiling the coffee. The unit does get hot while in use so make sure there’s nothing on top or near the machine when operational. The only downside and the sole reason i’m taking one star away is the price. This should not cost this much for such a basic coffee maker.

   This coffee maker is definitely small, which I was expecting. My photos include a quarter for size reference. It was well-protected in the box, which I appreciated. The manual contains some creative wording, but is mostly understandable. I would have preferred an exact number instead of being instructed to brew with plain water several times before use. I also had to guess from context what “keep the coffee maker is energized” means (I’m guessing it means keep it turned on if not serving coffee right away). The permanent filter seems kind of flimsy, and I don’t think it’s filtering as well as it could; I ordered one from another seller to replace it that hopefully will work better. I tried taking out the carafe mid-brew to see if it really does stop dripping. It basically does, but a few drips did get on the hot part below the carafe, and made kind of a frying noise, so I’m not planning on using that feature. This coffee maker only makes a few cups, so it really doesn’t take long to brew anyway. Water dripped down the back of the coffee maker when I opened the lid to add more water when I was running just water through the appliance. I don’t know if that would happen all the time, or only happened because I was running it multiple times in a row. In my experience, the coffee isn’t very hot, and is also a bit muddy-looking, like tiny grounds are getting through the filter. The coffee maker also smelled of heated plastic initially; that may reduce over time. But it does make coffee. You can put ground coffee and water in it, turn it on, and it will produce coffee that you can drink.

   I have used this coffee maker at least 20 times with just water to try to remove the stinky plastic smell. Even when it is not hot the inside smells like stinky plastic chemicals. When heating water in it the room gets the stinky plastic smell. I even did one pot of vinegar but it still stinks. I will not make coffee in something that smells like it might make me sick. The size of the pot is nice for 1 or 2 people. The glass pot is well made and will get used to water my plants or when I need a small pitcher. The coffee machine is just trash, because I would feel bad donating something so smelly and potentially unhealthy.

   This is a great no-frills coffee maker. It works well, brews quickly, and I like that it comes with a re-usable filter. Since the switch is mechanical I can just leave it on and turn it on and off from the power outlet with a timer-switch or smart-switch.

   It is smaller than I expected. The 5-cup specification should have made that apparent to me, but as surprised as I was I am not disappointed. 5-cups is a good amount of coffee, and the footprint of this coffee maker takes up less space than a full sized one. Also this means the pot fits more easily in the dishwasher.

    I would spend a few more dollars and get something a little larger and heavier. This coffee maker is extremely lightweight and basic. It’ll do the job but the quality is very “off to college” rather than something that will last several years.

    This small pot helps me stop drinking so much coffee. It comes with a permanent filter that works great. This coffee maker closes tightly so no bugs in my coffee! This is extremely well made and works flawlessly. It is extremely affordable for such a quality machine.
