   I loved the 3 cup version of this.. but this 5-cup version came with a bent filter.. causing ground to flow up past the filter. I returned it. I do love the design and that you can measure cup amounts from the side.

   Perfect cafetiere for me. I make a 500ml thermos of coffee each morning. I was previously using a standard small cafetiere (350ml) that I had to fill to the absolute brim to try and fill my thermos. I didn’t want to get a massive 800ml or 1litre cafetiere and this was the only one I could find in the middle that looked any good.

   It’s great. Well made, works well, and I don’t have to fill it right up. You could definitely make 2 decent mugs of coffee with this.

   And the strange thing is my coffee seems to taste nicer too!

   Overall very happy with this purchase.

   I’ve been using Ikea coffee presses for years and they work fine, but I really wanted one with a strainer in the lid. This one is the best I’ve found. I particularly like the 5-cup/20 oz. size, which is what I bought. The holder is thin metal and can be bent, but I don’t think it should be a problem under normal use. The glass seems of nice quality and is easily removed from the frame for cleaning. The only way this could be improved is with the addition of extra mesh screens right in the box. The plunger uses a single layer of fine mesh screen, but it seems to be of fine quality since, between it and the strainer at the spout, I’ve noticed less grounds per cup. My current favorite coffee press.

   I purchased this in March 2021 and have used it daily. It developed a crack about a month after it’s use. It was leaking alittle but I continued to use. Today I was making coffee and it exploded all over the place. Therefore I have given it a low rating.

   This press is perfect for my “small batch brewing” style… 2-3 tablespoons of my favorite beans into a grinder, fresh grounds into this press and voila, 2 standard sized cups of coffee, full of flavor to get my day started. Easy to clean. I like this better than my $50 Williams Sonoma double wall glass press.

    Out of the box this felt cheap and flimsy. But I tried to use it, because it was cheap, what did I really expect. Then when I tried to clean the grounds out, the glass container came right out of the bracket/frame/holder! Luckily it didn’t fall out over a hard surface, where it could have broken. I returned it with no issues. Spend a few extra bucks and buy something better.

    Love this french press! It’s the perfect size for 2 servings of my ginormous coffee cups that I need to function in the morning. I’ve had a Bodum one for a while but found it was getting “stuck” every time I pushed down. I do not feel I need to be a heavy weight lifter to push my damn coffee press down. This is smooth like butter. And, the other tiny detail worth mentioning is the pusher-thing is FLAT. All the ones I’ve had in the past have this very awkward little ball on the top which made pushing down quite difficult. I have some auto-immune issues and my hands aren’t as strong as they used to be and simple things like opening lids and pushing things down can be challenging. This press makes me happy- it’s clearly built with some thought. Also no grounds sneak out when I’m pouring the second cup, which is awesome because I am not a fan of “cowboy coffee” at all! Also- it’s a great price and has a simple minimalist look to it that I love. Totally recommend.

    La he tenido cerca de 3 meses y estoy francamente satisfecho. Prácitca, funcional. Para una taza de 12 oz (350 ml aprox.) y un poco más.
    El vidrio parece un poco frágil pero sí es resistente. Pero supuesto hay que tomar precaciones. En cuanto al envío, llegó en menos tiempo del estimado. Buen producto, buen servicio.

    It’s a very good quality press. Can be disassembled and cleaned thoroughly, if need be. Cons: like all french presses with glass carafes, it is quite susceptible to breakage when out of the stand. The filter on this one could be finer, too, in order to keep more of the “sludge” out of your cup.
