   I love cold brew (even in winter) and like making a large amount. I love this maker because it’s glass and stainless steel. Clean up was also super easy; just invert the filter and tap against the garbage. For those unfamiliar w/ cold brew, you will always have some type of sediment and you will never 100% relieve your self of the ground beans because they will be wet.

   The material feels quality. It is glass, so you still need to be careful with it. The mesh strainer is also quality stainless steel. The little brush to clean it and cloth to dry it is a nice touch.

   However, while the design of the carafe looks nice, I wish it was the same width throughout. But because it’s so much wider at the bottom, it wouldn’t work if you just wanted to make a partial carafe full of coffee.

   Also, there are no included instructions. I decided to just fill up the entire length of the stainless steel strainer to the top with coarse ground grinds. I let it brew for 24 hours in the fridge, and it tasted too weak. I let it brew for an extra 2 days, and it still tasted too weak. If you use this, try to use a stronger coffee, otherwise it may just not taste strong enough.

   I have been on a coffee craze and wanted to make cold brew. I saw a few containers and opted for this one.
   The first thing I noticed was how solid the glass feels the metal filter that holds the grinds is very well made and washes easily.

   The caraf looks small in the photos but is quite large. It is listed as 1600ml, and found that to be a good size for my needs.

   Everything washes easily and looks and feels very high quality.

   You have to take out the coffee mesh and lid to pour it properly. The function of pouring doesn’t make sense. There’s also a strong coffee odor from the rubber and it’s obvious this was a return. I’m fine with using used products but at a great discount. I will be returning.

   As you can see from the images this came in the display box, not taped not repackaged for the consumer’s protection. It came just as if I had walked into a store and purchased it off the shelf. Although nothing was wrong when it arrived I surely don’t approve of this practice. First things first, the design of the coffee filter is not very user friendly, no only is it hard to get a good brew it’s the only way to keep the lid on. I’ve made several pots with this and have had dry grounds at the top one inch of the filter every single time. The last time I shook the unit to try and avoid that problem. Not quite an inch this time, I’m just not sure about this cold brew maker so I purchased another one to get a better comparison. I’ve had cold brewed coffee and enjoy it, just not so much the price 4-6 dollars around here. So if you ask me about this brand of cold brew coffee maker I’d have to pass on it, when I shook it I had coffee everywhere the lid does not hold a tight enough seal. There’s also the fact that if you don’t drink all the coffee at once and you want to put it back in your refrigerator in goes the strainer after you’ve already cleaned it. Not so sure about this one, but make up your own mind about it.

   Glass carafe was not secure in the box. I could hear a clinking sound as I opened it (I thought it was broken!!) To my surprise a purple/pink cloth was in the glass carafe. (The absolute most random surprise in any coffeemakers.us.com order I have ever had!) The top is visibly dirty and scratched. Rubber on the top does not properly fit. Filter does not fit into the top. It did come with a random brush too.

   I used tap water to make the first batch of iced coffee-I wasn’t sure if you had to use hot water. It worked great! The carafe is beautifully made and holds a lot of coffee. The only negative is the removal of the grounds from the strainer/dispersion tube which is very narrow and long. But it’s a minor issue , and otherwise it cleans easily. I use a bottle brush , although it comes with a microfiber cloth and a brush for the grinds I didn’t need either. This is a really great item for those of us who love iced coffee!

   The overall materials of the container, the lid/filter feels top notch. I don’t know if it’s surviving a drop from the counter, but it’s definitely not going to just break if you put it down a bit too hard. The thickness of the glass is also nice to hold temperature a bit longer.

   We only used this carafe cold. To make cold brew coffee. There’s no instructions in the box but I’m not sure that they’re needed anyway. We grind our own beans which we use in our espresso maker anyway, and let them sit in the fridge over night in the carafe. Since we don’t drink the entire thing in a day, I usually empty out the filter the next morning so the grinds aren’t in the filter the entire time.

   Another bonus is how convenient it is now to make espresso martini’s whenever we want! You don’t get the nice foam that you do if you’re shaking up freshly pulled espresso, but the taste is still there.

    This cold-brew coffee maker is quite alright when making iced coffee. It cannot handle super fine grind, as its filter lets them through. Nevertheless, the result is still delicious. Although it looks beautiful, the glass is not very durable because it shattered from a short height from the top to the bottom of the sink. Handle with care if you wish to use it, but choose something else if you want something more lasting.
