I have never tried pour over coffee, but I’ve heard that this method makes a very tasty cup so I wanted to try it. The rumors are correct, pour over is indeed a good way to make a nice cup of coffee! This set is really nice, very streamlined and easy to use. It looks nice and I absolutely love that I don’t have to use any paper filters–I always seem to taste the paper when I use a filter. The mesh on the cone is extremely fine and absolutely no coffee grounds get into the carafe. The glass on the carafe is thick and sturdy. The handle fits my hand nicely and I didn’t get any drips while pouring the coffee from the pot into my cup. It’s easy to clean and because it’s stainless steel and glass it doesn’t hold in old coffee smells. The side is clearly marked and easy to read. It’s a perfect size for my household, it’s small enough to easily fit into the cabinet and large enough to make two or three cups at a time (depending on how big your mug is!) I can’t think of anything that I don’t like on this set, it’s well thought out and works perfectly, I would definitely recommend it.

This paperless brewing kit helps make a great batch of coffee. I tested this with freshly ground coffee, with a grind setting close to what I would normally use for standard drip coffee. A circular pour over technique was used with water fresh off a boil. The rate of flow is a little higher than what is typically found with paper filters, so if under extracting happens (imparts a sour note) a finer grind should be used. My brew time was roughly around one and a half minutes which is quicker than a typical pour over where three minutes seems to be a good range, however the result coffee was very flavorful and well balanced. Overall this kit is well made. The glass carafe very attractive. The handle is attached well as if this was created as one piece, and overall shape and weight of the carafe is good. It is about half the size of a typical coffee pot for reference, or about double the size of a typical coffee mug. The glass is tempered however it does seem a little thinner than a typical brewing glass, so caution should be used with shocking it directly with hot liquid. The manual also states to not put boiling water directly into it or put it on a heat source for this reason. The brewing cone is also well made with a very finely perforated metal mesh. Brewing with this cone produced a very clean brew with no noticeable particulates making its way into the final result. Additionally, there is a metal lid for the carafe with three flexible flanges to hold it in place. I found it best to make sure one of the flanges is at the spout as it does put some outward pressure on the upper ring of the carafe otherwise which I feel is probably not good for it, being thin tempered glass. Overall, I am very happy to have this as part of my coffee brewing “lab” as it fills a role for certain types of coffee that flourish with a pour over method. The kit is well made, and easy to clean. I do feel the inclusion of a small brush for the cone portion would elevate this kit a little, as disposing of grounds without washing any down a sink drain can be a little tricky without one. On the positive side, I have not experienced any gaps or folds with the brewing cone that trap coffee grounds, so cleaning is very simple and straight forward. After using this product, I highly recommend it a perfect companion to anyone’s brew station.

Very pleased with this set for pour over coffee. Water must be poured slowly to bring out flavor. We use it 3 times a day. Some have complained about the filter coming apart/breaking but seems well made to me and rinse it under faucet, no issues. We use a mug to catch last drips from filter rather than placing directly onto base. Makes clean up much easier. One alteration I needed to make was to the wood base which pivoted easily on a slight warp on the bottom, I affixed felt feet to each corner to stabilize it. Comes very well packaged.

This is the perfect size for two people to each have a nice cup of pour over coffee. It cleans up easy. I find it easy to pour. Coffee will not stay warm long in this but that is not an issue because I pour myself and my wife a cup. If it’s just me, it’s still warm enough for the second cup if I drink the first cup quickly.

We don’t use any additional filters with this. Make sure to wash it after each use or the pores will start to clog with oils (a rinse is not good enough).

Overall this is a great pour over coffee maker.

Both the glass carafe and the stainless steel filter are excellent quality. The carafe has a solid glass handle, and is really beautiful to look at, and comfortable to hold. The top of the carafe is perfectly flat, so both the stainless steel lid, and the pour over funnel filter fit perfectly and are very stable. The carafe holds 28 ounces of coffee, and is compact enough to fit on any cabinet shelf. The stainless steel lid has 3 mini springs to grip the carafe, and it sits perfectly flush and does not wobble, because the glass is formed so precisely. See photos attached to this review. The stainless steel filter has TWO layers, one laser cut layer with larger holes on the outside, and a micro mesh filter on the inside. My coffee mug didn’t have a single coffee grind or speck of coffee residue after making a brew. It’s a very effective stainless steel filter. Filter cleanup was also easy, I just tapped it to remove the old coffee, then rinsed it with hot water in the sink. There’s no junk left in the filter at all. Easy peasy. I do wish the metal bottom part of the filter which sits on the carafe was thicker metal, but this is not a big deal. Overall, this is a BEAUTIFUL pour over set and is excellent quality. I’m very happy with both the glass carafe, and the filter.

I just switched to making pour over coffee instead using a drip coffee maker. I really like the size of this pot . The only issue I have is that the coffee grounds end up clogging the dripper before I’m done pouring the water through. It might be the grind I’m using???? I did start putting cone filters (unbleached) in the dripper and it seems to help a little.

The pot is cute! The metal mesh filter perfectly replicates paper filters (to me at least), and it’s easy to clean. Just bang out the loose coffee ground and then rinse the rest. The lid also does more than just keep dust from falling into you coffee pot, it actually helps keep the coffee warmer longer. I’ve noticed the difference at least. I purchased this coffee pot and filter because it’s glass and stainless steel. It arrived in perfect condition. The pot and filter work well. The set up fits into the wood tray nicely. The glass pitcher feel sturdy and holds about four cups of coffee. The glass by itself does not keep the coffee warm, so I added a hot plate. I also added a coffee cup to catch the extra coffee that drops out of the filter. Coffee doesn’t take any longer to make than a conventional drip machine. Clean up is easy. I recommend. Update: It has been a few months now and I have found that I needed to use a standard paper coffee filter inside the stainless steel filter. The mesh in the filter is so fine that it clogs up and won’t filter. The added paper filter has made a huge difference. I still recommend.

It worked great for a bit but it breaks off from the base pretty quickly. The filter part starts leaning to one side and if you try to straighren it it breaks. Needs to be made more sturdy. It’s literally hanging by a thread and it’s only like 2 months old.

Since we got an induction stove, we can boil water in under a minute so wanted to get away from the plastic “pods”. Looked at many pour over makers and french presses and picked this one for style and size. It’s wonderful! Perfect for two cups of great coffee. The reusable filter is the best I’ve ever seen.
