   Turkish coffee is not hard to make on the stove, but if you get distracted, you risk an overflow and then a big mess. This coffee pot is a great idea, because you can put in the water and coffee and then focus on other things… but only when it works. We had a previous model. After several months (don’t remember how long), it stopped getting the coffee hot enough. It was too late to return, so we just got out the electric kettle and set it up with hot water. That worked for quite a while. Recently, the cezve part sprung a leak, and it was time for a new machine. This one arrived on September 16th. Today is September 25th. It’s already failing to heat the coffee. I must admit, for once, I didn’t read other reviews before purchasing, but having read them now, I’m giving up on this brand.

   This is our 4th Beko coffee maker. Each one lasts about 18 months on average then dies a slow death. However we love the taste of the coffee so much, that we keep buying Beko since no other makers come close in flavor.
   When you reach the 18 month mark, your maker will start having problems. First, you learn to clean the “eye” after every 5-6 cups, then 3-4 cups then each cup. You unplug it, wait, plug back in, clean again and nothing works…. time for a new one.
   WHEN it works, it is an wonderful machine. But it will die and you will be forced to get another one. If they would spend an extra couple of bucks to build a solid, long lasting product, it would deserve 5 stars. Until they do, it is only a 4 star machine.

   Enjoyed fabulous Turkish coffee in my favorite Turkish restaurant, The New Istanbul in Flanders New Jersey and I worried I would not be able to reproduce it at home. Well no worries with Kurukahveci Mehmet Effendi coffee (sold here on coffeemakers.us.com) and this fabulous Turkish coffee maker, from my first cup, it was absolute perfection. I am a tea drinker and yet really great coffee and expresso catch my attention. This is a clear winner. Thank you Beko from bringing Istanbul into my kitchen.     Easy to use and extremely fast, great tasting Turkish coffee. You have to use it few times to get the measurements to your liking. If the cup had a spout, pouring coffee would be easier. Great product.

    It is the real thing. Even better than the real thing. Update: I had to downgrade this to a 1 star. The handle of the pot literally disintegrated after a week. Will try to get in touch with the customer service

    I love my Turkish coffee maker! I’m from Turkey and even my mom uses the same coffee maker back home and she would admit that this makes better quality coffee than anyone she knows including herself 🙂 I would say the same thing! Having low voltage for US is a huge plus!!! Just make sure to wash your cup only with water after each use and I would recommend to hand wash with soap after every 5-10 uses. Never failed on quality! Did I also mention that it also comes with a 8.8oz Turkish Coffee?

    This coffee maker did the job for almost 5 years, it even had her own name “Iyeshe” since she always did a good job at making coffee. Family was having Turkish coffee all the time maybe around 5-10 times a month. Recently looks like it had a internal meltdown. Not many options out there for Turkish coffee maker so I might have to get the same kind. Hope this review helps.

    Oh I actually bought a similar Turkish coffee machine while I was visiting Istanbul and living overseas, but when I returned to the US I needed one that’s 120v so I bought my first Beko machine in 2017. I use it to make up to two Turkish/ Arabic coffee cups (small). It’s been working great. I used it almost daily, except for the last 2 years up to a week ago when my dad visited me in the US. We made Turkish coffee every day for the last week, during his visit. He was impressed with the quality of the coffee and foam on top. At my dad’s request, I purchased the 2nd one for him, which arrived today. We tested it; it worked just like the one I’ve had since 2017. It’s consistently awesome. I highly recommend.
