   Superb. Can’t imagine how they thought of so many details and got them just right. So easy: I leave it set at 3 minutes soak time, but changing that is just a button push. Not confusing, just push the button and wait for 4 minutes and drink coffee. Easy to clean up, easy to set up. Amazing. Only thing I can’t do – and I’m not taking off any points for this, is that I can’t set it up with one of those timed outlet timers to go off in the morning, because I have to actually push the button to turn it on. But that’s not a big deal – I set it up at night, in the morning push the button, take a shower, and coffee ready for me. All timing works impeccably : Push the start button, about a minute and a half later the water goes up, 3 minutes later coffee comes down, it keeps it warm for 30 minutes. And I love siphone coffee.

   I loved it…..until it quit working. Lasted less than a month. Before that, coffee and tea making was wonderful, excellent extraction and fun to watch. coffeemakers.us.com is replacing it — hopefully the 2nd round lasts longer.

   Love it. Makes delicious coffee. Didn’t like cleaning out coffee grounds so I just purchased paper cup liners which work great. Would definitely buy again. 11 months later still going strong. Love this coffee maker, the very best!

   The Electric Siphon Coffee Maker makes delicious coffee. It is a joy to watch as it works. I am a bean grinder, a coffee snob and kinda OCD about procedures and instructions. Their instructions were very good. The only thing I did was use a grind between pour over and espresso and stuck to their recommended measure (14g). The only difficulty is in filling the basket. It’s just an awkward target and easy to spill grounds. I am still experimenting with the recipe to my taste. FYI: The temp display is in Centigrade and I haven’t read anyway to change it to Fahrenheit. The brew time is preset for 1, 2 or 3 minutes. I have found it awkward to use the power switch to adjust the brew time. Although it is very stylish, I really like the functional hourglass shape of the carafe, the blacked-out but illuminated base feels like it’s missing something when you’re used to buttons and switches. It’s all part of an adjustment and the brewer is worth it. It’s a great product at an affordable great price.

   Muy bonito diseño, se ve fabricada en buenos materiales, el filtros es bastante bueno. Pero, es la segunda cafetera tipo sifón japones eléctrica que compro. La anterior la regale, esta quizás tenga el mismo destino. Hay un serio problema, que es físico y de diseño. Físico, porque la temperatura de ebullición del agua depende de la altura a nivel del del mar. En CDMX, el agua ebulle alrededor de los 94°C y la jarra esta pensada para dar tiempo de extracción a los 100°C. Aqui entra el problema de diseño, deberia ser posible ajustar la temperatura maxima, porque en CDMX nunca va a alcanzar 100°C, es físicamente imposible a la presión atmosférica del CDMX. Asi que, termina vomitando toda el agua por generación excesiva de vapor. Aún si se coloca por abajo del nivel máximo y esto resulta peligroso. En pocas palabras, si vives en CDMX o en lugares altos, mejor compra un sifón japones manual. Los eléctricos son potencialmente peligrosos.

   i am not sure what cup size they were using to call it a one cup coffee maker. For my regular coffee cup it is half a cup of BAD and BITTER coffee. Nothing like pour over or even my regular coffee maker.
