This is a pretty pour over but proceed with caution. The drain hole is far too big and your filters break open from the weight and wet, giving you a wonderful cup of grounds mud.
Im running out of time on a return but believe its in the near future…very disappointing! I should have stuck with the white ceramic Melitta cone and pot…le sigh.
5/20/2023 update…filter just broke yet again…im checking on a return/refund now.

This pour over coffee maker is the best addition to my kitchen. Its very easy to use and only requires a filter to use. The top portion of this has wide opening at the bottom that allows for a good flow of coffee to filter through. Everything is made out of glass which is free of toxic materials. If you are a coffee drinker, this is the pour over for you.

This set is beautiful. Just looking at how beautiful it is makes me very happy. The only negative aspect I found with it was the fact that the texture on the inside makes it more difficult to clean than I would prefer. I have small hands, so I’m actually able to reach inside fairly well despite the tapered design, but washing it that way does hurt my hand thanks to those ridges inside. It would have been better if the ridges were on the outside and the inside was more smooth, I think. It does clean up fine with a brush, but I worry about losing my grip if I don’t have both hands directly in contact with something these days. It does come apart and go right back together very easily. My only very minor issue is with the texture on the inside. I’d still get it again. It really is gorgeous and very well made.

This is a very beautiful set. I broke my very functional carafe so I searched for a more decorative carafe and found this set. It is attractive enough to leave on the counter and works as intended, but a few items of note. First, it does feel fragile. While handling and cleaning it, I am continually telling myself to not knock it against anything. And like with many carafes, you will need to use a bottle brush unless you have a small hand. Second, do not bother using the complimentary filters sent with the set. Someone else mentioned this and I agree. There is a high failure rate on the filters, and you will end up with a carafe of coffee grounds. And third, the filter size…I’m not sure what to tell you. We have several cones and we use the Hario V60 02 filters. I compared the complimentary filter to the Hario filter, and they are not the same size. Perhaps this should be considered a Size 01. I fold the 02 for use in this cone; see photos.

I love this coffee maker! It is made of beautiful materials and great craftsmanship. It makes great coffee and I love the way it looks too. Rhe only one thing is that I wish it had had at least 1 coffee filter in the box. I had to wait to go out and buy some filters. Otherwise, I love this! I’ve had a few friends who wanted to steal it, which makes me know that this would make a great gift!
