   It is very difficult to remove the filter basket and get it to lock back in place. The plastic it is made from is very thin and gives the impression of being very cheap and likely to easily break.

   When I unpacked this coffee maker, I noticed a small broken piece of black plastic fell on the floor. I looked the coffee maker over and was unable to notice where this piece of plastic broke off from. Well, I found out the hard way. After brewing a pot of coffee, I went to remove the pot to poor a cup of coffee and the brewing basket would not stay in place.
   The peace of broken plastic was the brew basket locking tab.
   Instead of returning the unit and waiting for another long shipping time I am gluing the broken lock tab back on using J-B WELD. I hope it holds. Otherwise, I will need to purchase something with better quality engineering.
   I think the tab broke off during shipping with the basket not being tightly secured in place. The basket should be taped and labeled “caution” in place for shipping.
   Otherwise, we like the coffee maker without all the bells and whistles of a timer, just turn it on and off. Unit is light and easy to store off the counter. It also has a cup measuring scale on the inside of the water reservoir.

   Coffee maker does not have an autoshutoff. That is a deal breaker.

   Do not recommend. This coffee maker is cheaply made and not worth and more than $15. I believe it is mispruced because there is another B&B coffeemaker that is $15 less, which is what I thought I bought. It will go back.

    I am having a horrible just getting the basket open to add coffee grounds. However, once the darn opens – it does brew nicely.
