   This is a great upgrade for us without spending a fortune. It’s brewing a variety of size, doesn’t use little obnoxious one time pods, but I can still brew just one cup. Has a reusable filter. The water tank is large enough to do a full pot or a few small cups. It warms up quickly, the coffee it HOT but best of all for us…it has a pre-set button. My last be didn’t and I have missed waking up to the smell of freshly brewed coffee. My star ratings are based as follows: 5⭐️ – love it, can’t live without it. Outstanding and amazing. 4⭐️ – pretty great, no major flaws. 3⭐️ – got some issues going on. 2⭐️ – pretty flawed product. 1⭐️ – don’t waste your time or money. Just not worth it.

My only complaint is similar to what others have said in that the pot is difficult to clean unless you have tiny child-like hands which I do haha but I prefer to make my husband clean it and he tells me I should since my hands are smaller.    First time using this machine we used the wire filter, coffee grounds all over the filter area. So we tried the cone paper filters, same thing. So, we tried less grounds, still, same thing. Why is the coffee machine doing this? Take a look at the pictures. And how am I supposed to clean this mess? Very disappointed

   I can custom brew anything from an 8-oz cup of coffee through to travel cups, half-pot or full pot, simply by turning the dial and putting in the desired amount of coffee grounds. No expensive plastic pods to worry about disposing of! No fancy buttons to push or electric panels to blow out! To sneak a cup before the pot is ready, just crank a lever to stop spillage – absolutely mess- free! This machine is truly liberating – cuts the fuss and overspecialization and brings the joy back to making a delicious coffee effortlessly.

    We’ve had this machine about 6 months and are enjoying it. It looks good on the counter and fit our space well. I like having the analog dial to select a size, and there is a nifty ‘drip stop’ lever to keep the bottom heating plate clean. Even if you forget the lever, the heating plate wipes up really nicely. I also like that the water reservoir lifts out and has a replaceable filter so I can fill it at the sink or from the filtered fridge water directly and just set it back in the maker to run. If you use the replaceable filter, run the machine *several* times after first installing the pod before making a real pot of coffee (the first time we did this we ran it only twice and thought the first coffee tasted off, even after presoaking the filter as per the instructions). My favorite part is that they’ve figured out the right, piping hot temperature for the coffee. It tastes great and stays wonderfully heated for a long time (hours). There’s even a handy timer that displays after the run that let’s you know how fresh the pot is (within the first hour).

    Braun has been in the coffeemaker market for a long time and this unit lives up Braun’s reputation. Although produced in China, the Braun KF9079SI Multiserve Coffee Maker reflects Braun’s German design and engineering. The unit is a bit bigger than I expected from the website. It has many options and settings, the volume of coffee you want to prepare, as well as the strength of the brew. The selection and dials are intuitive and easy to set. Equally the initial setup of the coffeemaker is very easy. If your water is very hard, use the little charcoal filter. Replacement filters are cheap, and their use will result in better coffee. I like that you can easily select the volume of coffee as I often just want a single cup (see the photo). Overall, a great machine that makes great tasting coffee.

    You’d think I’d have learned by now that you get what you pay for. And unfortunately, $120 isn’t as much money as it used to be. This is a fine looking coffee maker and looked great on our counter. Made a fine pot of coffee for 8 months. But it has more functionality than we really needed as all it’s fancy options apparently just means there are more parts inside that can break. Even though we cleaned it and descaled it regularly, it seems like the pump inside stopped working. It started brewing very slowly and would stop and flash the “H2O” error even though the resevoir had plenty of water in it. I can not recommend this machine. We decided to shell out more money and ordered a moccamaster, even though it’s not programmable. We’d rather have something that works reliably. 🤞

    This coffee maker is high quality and a reliable brand. You can brew a large pot or a single serving cup as you can see in the photos/videos. It comes equipped with a timer to make your mornings a breeze and a drip stop to pour a quick cup in the middle of the brewing process. We’ve been brewing with this pot for about 2 weeks and the taste is phenomenal. My grandfather has requested this for a Christmas present after having a cup and seeing how nice this machine functions. If you’re looking for something high end that will last you, this is the brand. We didn’t know what we were missing out on until now.

    The coffee is great as long as the machine works. The first one died after a couple of weeks due to a heating plate error. Warranty went well. The second unit started having a wonky clock after a few months. Now that one is starting to have hot plate issues. The carafe neck also retains water if placed in the dishwasher. I’m definitely avoiding Braun or anything De’Longhi for the next one.

    Coffee maker arrived November 5, 2023. Worked fine till February 18, 2024! Wouldn’t brew coffee had a H2O error, I read the operation manual which wouldn’t clear the code, watched the video which wouldn’t clear the code and no coffee (it was a Saturday and tech support works Mon-Fri. No coffee ;( Called Monday morning, went through the gentleman’s questions and sure enough has to be replaced. Looks beautiful on our counter, easy setup and wonderful flavor right from the start! It is a difficult to wash the carafe, the opening is very small so I stuff in a sponge and use a wooden spoon to push it around. The warning plate stays on even after the machine turns off. I put the empty carafe on our stove top to make sure it doesn’t break being empty! He filled out a message he was sending to the Warranty Department, said I would get an email. Ok, 3 days and no email, called back, gentleman said it will be at least 7-10 days, I asked what I can’t make coffee? He replied that’s how long it takes. I said will they send me a new unit then, he said they have a check list to verify and you should receive a new unit. I said do you think a person should go with out making coffee in there home for weeks after paying 139.99 for a coffee maker that includes a warranty. He said that’s the process sorry for the inconvenience good bye.

    We were impressed by the professional design of this coffee maker. From a well known brand, we were expecting this high performance and ease of use. The build of this machine is great and mainly metallic with some plastic parts. We could make coffee with different intensity and sizes, from a half cup to a full pot. There was no any type of leak during or after the process. The taste of the coffee was the best. We liked the auto making where it turns on at a specific time, so we could time the coffee making from the previous day and we got it work in the morning. Overall, we are impressed, and absolutely, highly recommended.

    This coffee maker is excellent. It is very easy to use. There are options of just making one cup of different sizes or making a half or whole pitcher. I do find I have to put in more water than I need to make whatever size I choose. Like if I want a half pitcher, I have to pretty much put 3/4 to a whole pitcher of water in. The basket for the filter is easy to remove and clean. There is also a charcoal filter in the water container. The coffee maker comes with a scoop, which is nice to have. I am finding I like this coffee maker a lot more than my keurig even.

    I was able to purchase this Braun coffee maker as a coffeemakers.us.com renewed unit, So I got a good price. However it is missing a central part; The permanent filter which is supposed to come with the unit is not here. I have not used it yet since I need a filter but everything else seems to be in place. I did run water through it and set the time and everything seems to be working properly.

    This coffee system is fantastic out of the box. Remember this is a Braun coffee maker and the machine lives up to the Braun name. The packing was secure-everything arrived intact. The first thing I saw was two sets of instructions. You get both the quick start and the more detailed information. The machine itself is solid. It is not too heavy but it just feels solid and like not breakable. I was able to start the machine, run a few pots of clear water, set the clock and make a cup of coffee using the quick start guide. The coffee maker comes w a double sided measuring spoon. You can see close ups on the product information on coffeemakers.us.com. . Another good feature is the “gold” filter. This means another savings/less waste. You can brew coffee without paper filters. I got this machine because I am on a mission to make a single cup of coffee without using pods This is it!! I just made 8oz of coffee using the suggested measurements. Delicious!! A good thing for me is that the coffee comes out hot. I mention this because I’d be careful of letting young children use it. I love hot coffee! I’m so pleased to be able to make 8 or 12 ounces of coffee, no waste! I highly recommend this machine. Making an investment w high quality, well-known brands is really the way to go. I consider Braun appliances to be well designed and well made. I expect to be using this coffee pot for many years ahead!! Highly recommend.

    Used unit for 5 to 6 months. Worked except was always finicky when using clean cycle. H2O error displayed couldn’t be corrected. Contacted customer service, warranty provided with new unit. Process so complicated it took 3 weeks to get replacement. Received new unit set it up and right out of the box unit showed E21 error. Started warranty process again. Manager called with apologies stated that they would test next one before sending out. Another 3 weeks before unit arrived. New unit arrived and right out of the box the unit wouldn’t turn on. Called customer service and they tried told me contact coffeemakers.us.com, passing the problem on to coffeemakers.us.com. I refused to and told them to either reimburse me or immediately send a working unit. So, here we go again another 3 weeks waiting. Will update. Won’t ever buy Braun again because of the product and poor process with customer service.

    Offering size versatility and plenty of features to suit the needs of the user this SCA (Specialty Coffee Association) certified multi-serve coffeemaker can make a delicious full-pot, half pot, or brew by the cup without using pods. The SCA certification is given when the brewer maintains an optimal brew time and temperature along with meeting a golden cup technical standard that consistently produces good tasting coffee. If interested details are below, but in summary the brewing options are excellent and overall a very good machine. The machine can brew a full 50 ounce pot or increments from 25 ounces (half a pot) to 30, 35, 40 or 45 ounces or by the cup in volumes from 5 to 8, 12, 16 and 20 ounces. Also intensity may be selected between light, bold and gold with gold as the optimal brewing setting. Another option is if brewing over ice which I tried along with some of the other settings—specifically a full pot, and a 12 ounce cup. I encountered no issues with any of the functions and the flavor was consistently good. Not unusual but a somewhat essential feature it can be programmed to brew at a set time. There is a Clean indicator which will glow when it is time to descale the machine. The instruction manual recommends the brand’s own descaling product. Included is an optional charcoal water filter—the machine operates without the filter. If used it will need to be changed approximately every 2 months (information is usually on the filters but unlike the Clean indicator light there is no automatic tracking. I’ve used these filters in my last 2 machines and to track useful life I just write the date installed on the box or bag. Note there are 2 sizes of this filter with a similar appearance. This machine uses the smaller of the two sizes which is commonly known as the Cuisinart size. (The larger one fits Keurig machines.) Included is a gold cone-shaped coffee filter but it also can be used with number 4 cone paper filter. Also a two-sided measuring scoop (small on one side and large on the other) is provided which is used when brewing individual cups or full/partial pots. The carafe is glass so the coffee maker has a heated plate to keep the coffee warm. Reading the instructions is worth the time both because some processes while not difficult are also not intuitive and useful information is provided like how to use double sided measure for each cup and pot size, what parts are dishwasher safe, etc. I particularly like that the water tank can be removed both for easy access when adding water and so if needed it can be thoroughly cleaned. I also like the altitude adjustment because I am at high altitude and water boils at a lower temperature and even water quality—hard water, etc.—can be set. It does take some time to setup the coffee maker and become familiar with operation but it is well worth it for the excellent coffee.

    We enjoyed it while it lasted. However today our power went out briefly. The coffee maker was plugged into a surge protected and grounded outlet. However when the power returned the coffee make is completely fried. (The cuisinart grinder in the same outlet is fine). I sat on hold for 55 minutes waiting for support that never answered. Then I went to the website for help. When I searched for “warranty” there is nothing and no where to even email. They don’t stand behind their products. Do not buy.
