   This coffee maker has the gold certification and gold filter and it’s a cert you can taste. The coffee is very good from this machine. For cold brew mode you use a paper filter and this produces strong coffee. I did all my testing with Stumptoen Founders ground fine. Clock was easy to set. Was easy to operate and clean. Looks good with buttons lit up. And I also do love the make coffee over ice mode. Although personally I make hot coffee, pour it in one of those cooling frozen containers then put over ice to not melt the ice. Now sometimes the on button on mine was a little finicky to turn on but in the end it all works. My only suggestion other than improving the button touch and action is the carafe IS on the LEFT. If you’re left handed you’ll love this. But for right handsets it seems like it’s on the wrong side as you have to reach across it to grab it. Last thing to say is this is very well made and holds a ton of coffee. And it has a bright red light warning you if it’s still hot. Very thoughtful feature.

   Braun is a great company with a reputation for making excellent products, so I was excited to try this. I love coffee, and I typically drink 3 cups (large mugs) a day. I was pretty overwhelmed by this machine, if I’m being honest, and it is definitely, absolutely for the type of person who wants ALL the bells and whistles. It’s nice, for sure, but I’m still not entirely sure how to use it. It really just depends on what you want in a coffee maker – if you want to make a cup of coffee at a precise strength and temperature, then this is the machine for you. Just keep the manual handy.

   I was a fan of this coffee machine until it started giving me the E12 error just about every single time I brewed a cup of coffee. I have tried every single thing their guides have suggested, funnily enough, one of those being to run it through a cleaning cycle which it can’t run since the E12 error will stop it about a 1/4 of the way through. I am pretty upset that i spent this amount of money on this dysfunctional of a machine. I think the part that gets me the most is constantly unlpugging it and plugging it back in, the machine giving you the tiniest spark of hope about it working, giving you maybe a fluid ounce of coffee, and then giving you the E12 error again.

   First off…be sure to read the manual! This isn’t your parent’s old Mr. Coffee drip machine. We started off with a cold brew over ice. Both my teenage kids who love our local cafe’s cold brew were both impressed by the flavor of this one. Next my son brewed a bold hot drip and it did not disappoint…was coffee that as my dad would say “puts hair on your chest!” He mentioned toning down the amount of coffee grounds used as he went with the top end of the recommended range. We’re still playing around with the machine using the manual for recommended coffee dosages, but if you and your family are coffee lovers (of both hot and cold), this machine will not disappoint. It’s easy to clean, the water tank is easily accessible, clearly marked, and I love that it’s detachable. The scoop that is provided is a handy tool. Final notes: The like the looks of this coffee machine, I have not had the spout drip when pouring coffee, and the DripStop is an awesome feature so you’re not cleaning the burner when you accidentally pull the carafe too soon. Also, note that the cold brew does take a while to brew. If you’re in a rush in the morning, it’s not the time to start a cold brew. We’re all pretty excited by the arrival of this coffee machine. Definitely recommend to others.

   This machine is suitable for both weekday rush and weekend relaxation. I make hot coffee and put it in my large-size Hydro Flask to bring to work every weekday. For that purpose, I prepare the machine the night before and set the timer for the next morning. I make a full carafe for weekdays. On weekends, I enjoy my coffee by the cup or in a single travel mug. This machine works very well for my lifestyle. The machine itself looks stylish and is super intuitive and easy to use. It comes with a reusable filter. However, I found that the coffee came out too muddy with the reusable filter, so I stopped using it. Though it doesn’t warrant deducting a star, one thing that really bugs me about this machine is the pot. It’s really hard to clean by hand. The mouth is so small that even though I don’t have particularly big hands, they can’t fit through it to clean inside. I have to buy a bottle cleaner for it. It’s not a big deal, but I think it’s worth mentioning. I’ve included a few pictures that show the dimensions of cups and mugs that can fit in this machine just in case you want to see if your favorite cups and mugs can fit in it.    We love this thing!!! The best coffee maker we’ve ever owned. Reliably makes the perfect cup or full pot brew. Also love that we can make tea/boiling water without having to do any extra cleaning. No coffee flavour contamination like you might get with a pod coffee maker.

   Only complaint is that because the size section is on a dial, it’s easy to forget what the size is set to. Occasionally we make the wrong size by accident.

    I’ve owned the Braun MultiService for the past 4 months and not as excited about my purchase as I was at the beginning. I’ve had multiple error codes (E01, E02) that I’ve had to research and eventually troubleshoot to get fully operational once again. Once working it didn’t deliver volumes of coffee consistently. When it comes to a cup of hot water the design didn’t execute as well as the concept and offered more steam then a cup of water. The cherry on top was the ‘H2O’ error code that not enough water was in the reservoir. I filled, emptied, filled again, pulled out/pushed the reservoir back in multiple times…pulled the power cord and repeated the aforementioned only to temporarily clear the error code. (Please reference the attached video). I’ve owned other Braun products and purchased this one based on those past experiences…I might be an isolated issue but am NOT happy, especially now that I can brew any coffee before heading out to work.

    This coffee pot is garbage,the water does not get hot, you can drink the whole cup in one mouthful.. when you are. Making 1//2, to a whole pot, when finished brewing it shuts off the warming tray does not start, when you making 1/2pot and put the drip stop on,the whole machine shuts down.     This coffee maker is simply the best investment I’ve made for my mornings. I’ve had my unit for about 6 months now and it works just as well as day 1. The coffee maker is programmable and has a large well for water, so I can make several cups without needing to refill all the time. The brewer also allows for water temperature selection, which is super helpful when making all my favorite teas as well. The compartments are easy to clean, which is a huge bonus. I’m a fan!

    What can I say, this is a coffee pot and then some, manufactured by none other than Braun! A very reputable company that has been around for decades I believe. Usually can’t go wrong with their products. With this product you can do the following *Brew coffee 10 cup , 7 brew sizes *Pod free drip *Hot/cold brew *Hot water for Tea In the photos I have pictured a just brewed tea with the hot water from this machine, there are recommendations for different types of tea this one was recommended for 100° to 212° and this hot water was delivered into my glass cup at 203°. I placed the empty cup inside the machine where the carafe would sit and I placed a tea bag inside of the cup then I pushed the water button and it began to heat the water and ultimately let it into my cup. It was the perfect cup of tea. I tend to drink coffee in the morning and tea when I’m going to bed so I should get very good use out of this machine for quite some time. You can Brew coffee in bold, gold, over ice, cold brew, hot water is dispensed independently and does not come in contact with coffee. It comes with a nice coffee scooper, a large bowl and a smaller bowl. It comes with a metal type filter mesh and a few paper filters, you do not use them both at the same time though only one or the other and if you buy filters for this you need to have a specific size I believe it’s #4 and it has to be cone shaped. They’re also is a charcoal filter that you need to soak for 15 minutes in water before placing it into the water reservoir area it , has a special holder for it and easy to work with. You can program the time, and prepare it for in the morning to automatically Brew the coffee with the automatic Brew time. Another nice factor with this is – that you can pull a little shelf down that is inside, pictured to the right of my cup while sitting inside the machine it folds down and you can sit a cup on top of that so its closer to the dispensing hole. The dial at the top has the different amounts and type of container that you want to use, like whole carafe, half a carafe, a Tumbler to cups which the ounces are labeled 5, 12, 16, 20. The glass tumbler I used is 16 oz and it filled it right up to the brim. In the summertime you’d be hard pressed not to see me walking around with some sort of cool drink especially coffee in my hand, this will definitely make my frappuccinos or just cold brewed way easier than what I have had to do before. I like it, it’s giftable and it does a lot

    I paid $200 for a coffee maker that doesn’t make coffee. Only thing it does is turn on and then 15 seconds later flashes h20. POS has never made a full pot of coffee in the 3 months we’ve owned it. My husband got fed up and bought one from the dollar store and that one works every single time. Don’t waste your money on this overly engineered piece of garbage. How freaking hard is it to pour hot water over coffee grinds.

    i was replacing a very old bunn phase brew that i loved. this machine brews a little better than that. i am not a fan of the cone filters, but that is no big deal. the water tank comes off easily and is replaced just as easily when full. the basket has the stop to pour bobber on it, but it is not in contact with the pot. when i take the used coffee filter out, the bobber closes and i don’t drip on the floor going to the trash. i use the stop to pour even when it is done so i don’t drip on the plate. the lever slides easily. the hot water feature is great too. i make tea so this is a nice add on. easy to set programable. touch keys. and the biggest thing of all is that i can pour it without spilling. i even tried with cold water and couldn’t. the flavor of the “gold” is great. i did try over ice and that worked too. size select and cup tray round it out.
    i have to say i was worried i would have issues, but i really really like this thing.
    as a side note, before i purchased it, i contacted braun via email with a question and they actually responded a couple days later.

    I love it and it fits perfectly on my counter without taking up much space. The water dispenser is removable for easy cleaning and water refills. The coffee temperature is perfect and the warmer stays on for at least 2hrs. Definitely worth it I have been looking for a new cute with a decent price unit for months and found it.     This is a great machine, makes really good tasting coffee, it is not bad looking and hopefully it will last. There is however one drawback, if you want the carafe to stay hot;
    1) The handle under the filter basket has to be switched to “DripStop”
    2) The “keep warm” button needs to be turned on
    3) The selector dial has to be switched to “full” or “half” carafe
    If you forget to switch the dial back to a setting other than half/full carafe when you make new coffee, you are going to waste the coffee. Although not for me, this can be an inconvenience for some, especially if you have bad memory…..

    I love this machine!!! It works great! The coffee tastes great. It depends on the brand of beans and how frequently you grind them, but that is the user’s preference. I was looking for an espresso machine, thinking I would have Starbucks at home. I’m just not that person who is satisfied with an espresso. I like them, but I want a large cup if I need a coffee. This machine can make me a concentrated coffee or a more considerable amount without thinking about the pressure, water amount, temperature, and whatever else comes with an espresso machine. I was very excited that it has different functions as the cold brew or over ice, though they all make very warm coffee, and thedless, ice melts regar so keep that in mind. I wish the coffee coming out was significantly colder so my ice does not melt immediately. The hot water function is excellent! You can change the temperature of the water, and it comes from a different spout, so no coffee-flavoured water in your tea. Overall, I am very, very happy with this machine. It is consistent in what it produces, though I wish the functions for colder coffee produced colder coffee.

    Was so impressed with this machine: Ice Coffee, 1/2 pot, full pot, single cup, multi sized cups….what more can you ask for. My Keurig took a crap and I’m so glad I found this. Super easy to use/clean. Use cone filters with gold permanent filter and I use both. You can also switch from full pot fill to squeak out a cup without a problem: “drip-stop”. I am so glad I found. Worth the cost. and keeps the strength of your grounds

    I’m not sure how to rate this. I rearranged my entire kitchen counter and upper cabinets, where I keep my coffee supplies, to make this close to the sink and ease of operation. I love the look of it and like how it is easy to add water and fill coffee grounds. The pot is 60yo hands friendly and feels good in my hands when pouring. Not too heavy. I bought only for making smaller pots of HOT coffee for myself, since no one else drinks it. At first, I thought it was pretty good but now im at my wits end! I’ve owned so many coffee makers in my lifetime, most come with easy instructions, but this is the most confusing piece of paper I’ve ever tried to read…my advice is to separate the 3 languages for easy reading, understanding and QUICK finding of what you need to find. I went through so many math problems trying to figure out how much coffee I need for each half or full pot and also smaller cups. Very frustrating cuz didn’t see it in the directions until today. Oh and seriously, it only stays warm for a half hour without having to go through hoops to figure it out. The Keep warm button is USELESS & doesn’t work unless you have it on “drip stop”??? Seriously that’s ridiculous. And pic I took you’ll see says H2O, but there IS WATER IN THERE. I suspect this has some internal issues I’ll never figure out. I have 2 weeks left to return it and I’m really about ready to. For the price this is NOT WORTH IT!

    Bought this product for Christmas and it’s been a waste of money! The most important button on the machine for us, the ‘auto on’ button, doesn’t work. We bought a coffee maker again so that we could set it to make coffee in the morning and this coffee maker does not fulfill that need. Also, the ‘keep warm’ button does not work so there is no way to keep the carafe hot after the initial warm timer expires. Already looking for a replacement and will not buy another Braun!

    The people who took Stars off this machine either expect a robot to make their coffee for them or they received a lemon and should have returned it. Set up was simple, directions are well written, and it brewed excellent coffee. With the 3-year warranty, I’m happy that should anything go wrong with the electronics on it Braun will back that warranty up. We purchased because we don’t Brew entire pots of coffee very often. I prefer to make a single cup in the morning as does my husband and we both drink different types of coffee. But it’s nice to have the flexibility to do a larger pot when necessary. I also like the built-in features to do cold brew or iced coffee and the tall height means that my husband’s travel mug fits right underneath. If you can read, by this coffee maker.

    We love this machine – it is reasonably priced compared to others that are certified by the SCA (which is what I was looking for). The SCA certified the “Bold” brew setting and it does make very good coffee. Machine is easy to set up and use (and the manual is very helpful if you have questions), and is pretty easy to clean. The only challenging part to clean well is the pot itself because its shaped more like a beaker and you can’t get a hand in it (a dish brush does a good job). I’ve been using the machine daily for a couple of months and have not noticed any grime buildup impacting the coffee flavor, but regular cleaning is needed for the best flavor.
