   This Bunn is great! I had the old fashioned Bunn until now and what I really needed was a timer with sacrificing the Bunn taste. EDIT: Having had this for a month had to return. The coffee always tasted burnt. I have to change my review to 3stars. It does work quickly, the coffee is hot but the taste is awful! Went back to okd style bunn.

   fast brewing coffee maker. I dont like the fact that the heating plate inside of this rusts and you end up drinking the rust and getting sick from it. I havent even had this coffee machine more than a month or so and i couldn’t figure out why i was tasting rust. I opened up the lid and took it apart and saw the little heating hot plate was goopy with rust on it, around it and under it where the water flows into the coffee maker. I would advise against buying this unless you wanna be sick. Not made well due to this feature. They need to remove this feature, noone wants to drink rust, I wish I could get a refund, total waste of money and a HEALTH HAZARD!!!!! I would like my money back

   Programming was easy and it worked well. The coffee just had a plastic taste and left an oily residue on top of the coffee. Also left some kind of sediment in it. I cleaned with vinegar several times but it didn’t seem to help. Went back to a non-programmable Bunn and coffee is fantastic again.

   I purchased this Bunn coffeemaker less than 2 years ago…it wasn’t cheap either ($140). Today while descaling it (using Bunn’s recommended method) the piece that the sprayhead attaches to broke in half. I called Bunn’s customer service line and the lady was very nice, but indicated that this part was not able to be replaced. So, either I glue it back together (not sure how that will work with a food safe glue?) or I need to get a new coffeemaker. I have probably descaled the unit only 6 or 7 times in 22 months, so this is obviously a very weak and poorly made part. I loved the coffee every morning and the rest of the machine is great. So disappointed!

   This is a very good product. I have always had Bunn products. Now this one is a little different. It does not preheat the water like other Bunns. But it is very fast about brewing. Just about enough time to brush your teeth, witch I do.

   It wants me to clean it instead of brew the morning coffee. The H2O error is equally annoying. I gloved up and took the head off and cleaned it and still won’t brew. I guess it’s vinegar water with breakfast. Thanks Bunn! 6.4.22. This continues to be a problem. I’ve never had a Bunn. Mr Coffee had been fine until the last unit. Welcome to throw away society. 03.04.23 Same thing. It continues to flash clean no matter how many times I clean it. I had a cheap Mr. Coffeee for over twenty years and it never forced me to clean it. It never stopped brewing part of the way through. I only continue to use this to try ans get some perceived value from it. This piece brings mad shame to the Bunn name.

    Purchased coffee maker Jan 23rd 2020. Made really good coffee. Style was very nice. However, the green plastic coffee aerator broke off on Feb 26th. This fragile little plastic part fits above the filter which allows the hot water from the tank to spread over the coffee grounds making the coffee rich and wonderful. Without it the coffee is watered down. Disappointed this happened on a new unit. Do better Bunn!

    We love our Bunn coffee maker. We were skeptical at first because of the price but in the end, it is worth the money. We went from a Mr. Coffee maker (which only last me 4 months before it broke.) to a Bunn coffee maker. We are officially team Bunn. We love how modern it looks. We use our Bunn coffee maker twice a day. The Bunn coffee maker makes your coffee hot and keeps it hot up two hours without burning the flavor. We also like the fact that the Bunn coffee maker is so quiet! It’s so quiet sometimes we forget we made coffee until we smell the coffee on the air. The down side to the Bunn coffee maker are the filters it comes with. The Bunn coffee filters suck! For this Bunn coffee maker. We currently use Melitta súper premium coffee filters.

    This is a great coffee maker! Always bought cheaper ones to save a buck. Not this time. No grounds basket pressure on top of pot so it lifts right out. Brews very fast and is very hot. Carafe has a simple fix to pour evenly without side spills. I am impressed, love it! Looks sleek too.

    We bought primarily to have something that looked nicer on our countertop than our 10+ year old Hamilton Beach 2-in-1 behemoth. 5/5 on that score. It fits in nicely with our other appliances. I’m not really a coffee snob, but the brew is substantially stronger and more flavorful than our old one (but again, it was a 10+ year old Hamilton Beach). The only real negative is the coffee grounds overflow the filter in the brew basket. It’s pretty minor when brewing <6 cups. At 8-10 cups, the basket’s pretty messy, but it stays contained in the basket (no issues with overflowing grounds). I haven’t noticed too many grounds in the brewed coffee, either. The total capacity is only 10 cups, so it was never going to be a volume brewer anyway.

    I like the automatic time setting feature and is quick to brew. I did find a few flaws. First off, You have to wait for it to finish brewing to pour a cup of coffee; I’m not used to that. Secondly, the mineral build up is worse than any other coffee pot I’ve had. I am still trying to figure out the right water to use. I cannot use my soft water, even though it’s also filtered; I cannot use my double filtered water; I’ve been using store bought spring water and still have issues. I’ve only been using it for a little over one month and have run vinegar through twice already to clean it.

    This guy is great it’s a Bunn! To be honest it takes up a lot of real estate on the counter for a smaller pot it’s only a 10 cup. The reason I bought it was it’s an auto shut off and hey I forget things. Great tasting cup of coffee everytime, hot and fast. A big con:: Don’t bump the filter cup it will fall out easily, it doesn’t click in and yes it makes a mess.

    I don’t know who needs to hear this, but you’ve been throwing $15/bag beans into your wheezing coffee maker, hoping it makes the cup like Starbucks. And you are frustrated. You’ve tried every setting on that 10 year old wedding present, but it JUST. DOESN’T. WORK. Here’s the thing- Starbucks brews their coffee at 195 degrees Fahrenheit. What’s the brew temp of your coffee maker? No idea, right? Electronics cannot stand the test of time. That’s why you get a new phone every few years- the transistors can only get hit by lightning (electricity) so many times before they fail. Your heating element burns out after a few years. Now you buy coffee from a coffee shop, spending more money because you don’t want to upgrade that $35 Mr. Coffee piece of plastic junk. Buy this, be amazed, and Venmo me a tip for educating you in SCIENCE!

    After 12 years of drinking exclusively French press coffee at home, we bought this machine in an effort to simplify our complex life. I thought I’d be trading off a rich cup of coffee for a lower quality but easier one. I was wrong. This machine not only simplifies life with its program ability but the coffee was actually beautifully rich and complex. I do not feel bad retiring my French press to the back shelf.

    Pros. Simple (I don’t need a NASA command centre for a coffee machine). Programmable. Pours nice.

    Cons. It’s a tad large on my counter. Only used once so far so TBD.

    We are Bunn fans. Love the taste that only a Bunn coffee maker provides. Had the one that has a reservoir that keeps the water hot but unfortunately it broke down after more than a few years. Thought we’d give this one a try. We are loving it. It does take a few minutes longer to brew as this one does not have the reservoir. However I don’t see that as a problem. It has been working great and the coffee tastes as good as it did with the former Bunn coffee maker. You can also set it so that you wake up to fresh brewed coffee. Nice perk!

    I do like the space saving design; but, everything else about it is mediocre compared to the BUNN it replaced. Even the coffee doesn’t get/stay as hot. I’ll be trying the auto start for the first time, (it’s set for the morning). Hopefully, that goes well. The only suggestion I have for improving is the filter holder. Ooo, and maybe add a battery backup in case the electricity goes out due to storms/outages. A big plus is that it uses the same filter holder and coffee pot as my old BUNN, so, I have them packed away now in case of future replacements is needed.

    Easy to use and makes a great cup of coffee. Very happy with is so far. Just be sure to order the Bunn Coffee Filters because they are the only ones that work properly. After having this unit for several months here is my updated review. It went from 5 star down to 1 star. The unit generates build up and clogs the unit. I have a whole house filter and reverse osmosis so I don’t have any water issues. Maybe the unit is defective but regardless I’m disappointed.

    I bought this coffee maker in June 2021. I bought a year ago. I started seeing puddles of water and coffee on my counter today. I decided instead of just cleaning it up. I would inspect the pot a broken coffee spreader watch surprised me. The most was the rust in the water tank. I don’t know how much a health problem is, but I certainly don’t care for rust in my coffee. Very careful if you buy this pot.

    I will start by saying I love the product and it makes great coffee. They have made a few design changes from the previous model that are really annoying. First, the new pot is a fish bowl shape with a weird aardvark looking lid (I assume to minimize drips, but I never had that problem on the old design) versus the straight sides of the old design. In order to pour out the last 2 cups, you have to tilt the pot past 90 degrees and the steam from the coffee burns your hand. Second, they took the nice stainless filter holder and switched to a cheap plastic. I threw mine away and use the old stainless filter holder as it looks better and is easier to keep clean. Third, the top where you pour in the water now has a neat stair step design that tells you how many cups of water you have poured into the machine. While this seems like a good upgrade, it was not tested properly. Now everytime I pour water into the machine, the water hits the flat part of the measuring steps and splashes all over the counter. This was a huge miss and is probably the most anoying of the three problems that did not exist in the old design. Hopefully Bunn reads this and corrects the problems in the next design. Unfortunately for me, the product is such a high quality device (my last machine lasted for over 10 years with proper cleaning) I will have to put up with these annoyances for a while yet. With that said, I would still highly recommend this product.

    Looking for a new coffeemaker to go in my new coffee station I ran across this unit. I read the reviews and it looked pretty solid, so I got it. It’s been about two months since I received it and started using it. I saw a couple of hilarious reviews, one complaining about having to clean it all the time or it wouldn’t work, and in the same paragraph he stated that he has extremely hard water. Hmmm… wonder what could be clogging up his coffee pot… Anyway, I have enjoyed using this machine the last couple months, and have no clogging issues yet. Of course I only put RO water through it because I too have hard water, and know exactly how bad hard water is on appliances. Pros: -Looks very sharp in my coffee station -Makes super-delicious coffee -Bunn makes a permanent filter with a very fine mesh that you don’t have to use paper filters with, and it works perfectly! -Nice to have auto-off Cons: -This is the slowest auto-drip coffee maker that I have ever used -Not cheap -Brew basket can come out of the machine very easily making a big mess, but once you know, it’s easy enough to just be careful with it -Did I mention that it is slow? Painfully slow. I got irritated with how long it takes to brew, but then I looked at a couple other auto-drip machines and didn’t find one that I liked any better, so I kept it. I did, however, time how long it takes to brew a 32 oz (six cups) pot. Here’s how that went: Ground the beans, put the grinds and water in the machine and Pressed “Brew” 0:00 First heard the water getting hot 4:28 Started brewing coffee 5:39 Finished dripping 9:42 Display changed from “Brewing” to “Heating” 12:14 I think a little over twelve minutes to complete a brew cycle is ridiculous. Machines one fifth the price can do the same in five minutes or less. None of those machines have the style and name of this Bunn, so I just get it started and then work on breakfast and the coffee is ready by the time I’m done. If you appreciate style as well as performance, this coffee maker can make you happy, but only if you’re willing to either be patient and enjoy the ritual of making coffee, or have ground coffee sitting out overnight getting stale while it waits for the pot to automatically brew in the morning. I like having a Bunn machine on the counter in my coffee station, and the coffee tastes great!

    No plastic taste issue for me. Made full pot of coffee with Bunn filters which are taller, no coffee ground overflow per 2 scoops or 1/2 cup, gevalia coffee 50/50 very fine grounds I might add.. and a green plastic spray head that creates the magic.I have a stove top perculator and a stove top drip maker and this thing outperforms both. It has to be the spray head hitting those grounds and pulling out the flavor. Temp is consistent from beginning to end at 195.F +-1degree. once water heats up it takes 6 minutes for full pot. Instructions say is sensitive to mineral buildup,clean every 3 months. comes with 3 year warranty. I admit the plastic lid on pot is kind of cheesy , I keep my thumb on it so it doesnt pop up when pouring coffee. If I get 5 years out of it that would be great. Yes it’s made in China, what isn’t? It’s been a week now and 12 pots made as of this review….Good Luck….Happy so far……..
