   The plunger is very stiff and took a lot of effort to push down. The shiny metal shows water stains very easily.
   It arrived in its own box but this was too small and the nobble on the top was scuffed as it was protruding. Would have made a poor gift.
   Not worth the money.

   For anyone who wonders THIS PRODUCT IS MADE IN CHINA. When I placed my order I was thinking that maybe it is made in Europe as I read in one review. It is not. I purchased another one for another brand for a lower price and they are identical. I did like the fact that it is all stainless steel ( no plastic at all) and the coffee is good and stays warm compared to glass french press where by the time I added the milk to the coffee it was already cold. With this type of press you get hot coffee and tastes great. What I didn’t like was the fact that this particular item was priced high compared to other products and I was expecting for a higher quality. Well the welding job is very poorly done, there is yellow stuff all around the area where the handle was welded to the body and one corner was sticking out completely . I added some pictures so you have an idea. These defects is not something I couldn’t live with it just bothered me the fact that they are present in a such an expensive item. By the way the three cups advertised are not three regular measuring cups. It is only about 12 oz.in size so if you are looking to make more than one coffee you should get a bigger one.

   Not cheep at £55 but having broken 2 glass versions in close succession costing £25 each, it looks like excellent value. Keeps the coffee hot for much longer than glass too

   I got this one refurbished. It works fine. I’ve practically been using it daily. I don’t have any problems with coffee grinds. I push the plunger down slowly to ensure this doesn’t occur; for the maximum flavor I use the suggested seeping ratio on the coffee canister instead of the suggestion on the Grunwerg box. Just an FYI, this only holds 11 ounces of liquid. Not even enough for two 6oz. servings, but I barely drink 6 oz. a day so this serves me just fine. If you’re a slow coffee drinker like me, I would suggest purchasing the Toastmaster heater to keep the last dredges of your coffee warm.

   Press works well, quality materials and workmanship. Only got three stars due to the design, which is top heavy. It really looks nice, but has a tendency to fall over onto its side. I store it in a kitchen drawer…when the drawer is opened, the press will fall over 9 times out of 10.

   There are no plastic parts on this lovely french press and I had my first cup of coffee and it is delicious. This is the perfect size for one person and the company sent it well packaged and in record time. This is so much nicer than the bodem french press! Bravo!

    Excellent. In the past 3 years, I purchased 2 Pyrex Bodum french presses, which I really liked. However, over the years, both carafes broke. So I wanted something that was shatterproof. I didn’t want to purchase the plastic ones since I was concerned about the leaching of chemicals into the hot water. So my only option was to go stainless steel. I was hesitant to get this one b/c of the price & b/c I was not familiar with this company, but looking back, I wish I had begun with this one. It’s been excellent so far, and I’m hoping it will hold up for a long time. It’s just as good as my Bodums, without the worry of it breaking.
