We had the cone-type filter coffee maker for many years, but it eventually broke down. We bought a higher end model of Mr.Coffee, but the brews were always harsh tasting. We came back to the cone type with this Calphalon machine and the coffee is nice and smooth again. It’s a bit pricey for it’s features, and I wish that it had an auto-off feature for the hot-plate warmer, but otherwise we are extremely pleased with it. It consistently makes good coffee. Max volume is 1.5 liters of coffee from 1 run. (10 cups), but it brews smaller amounts just fine. And it’s brew time is quick, less than 5 minutes for the full batch.

I have gone through many coffe makers they all had a weakness. Usually a spilling carafe. This one is by far the best one yet. It’s a very good machine priced very fairly. I like it’s sideways design because it intrudes less into the counter space. I’m sticking with this one. It’s great

Coffee Make has a great stainless steel look to it, as well as it’s a perfect size, not too small and not too big. Coffee taste is great – better then other coffee makes I had. The most important – seller is very reliable – any questions or concerns – no problem – I had seller email me back, not just same day, but I believe within few hours!

I bought this in Dec 2020, and it was great. I broke the carafe by accident and called to get a replacement, but Calphalon no longer gives replacement carafes. To their credit, they will refund me once I mail the coffee maker to them (SIGH!!). Just a heads up, though, that you cannot find replacement parts for this machine any more. Also, the pot was hard to clean because it doesn’t pour out all the contents without vigorous shaking upside down (hence me accidentally breaking the carafe). Also, it’s easy to spill water everywhere when filling the water reservoir. Skip this model
