   I am giving a f star review for a great coffee maker in its class.It is not as stout as the MT600 which I also own.this is a simple inexpensive great
   little coffee maker.However it still has the great stainless lined Capresso heater and that counts for HOT water.I use a courser grind in all my Capresso machines because it drains better and does not leave the coffee in the water too long which over extracts for bitter coffee.I never use paper in my machines and it brews perfect coffee every time.I use ONLY filtered water so that the coffee tastes like coffee and your heater will last much longer.

   We are loving our capresso coffee maker! I was trying to think of a reason not to leave 5 stars but really, it’s a great item. I wanted one with a removable water holder but decided to go with this one as I tried a Kitchenaid and I always had to worry about it leaking water over the counter. As far as it not having a filter, I use filtered water anyway and have never trusted those little filters that come with some makers. This coffee maker makes a nice strong cup of joe that is served at a perfect temp. Not too hot. We’ve been using this maker for about 6 months and it’s been nothing short of pleasant! I would recommend and I’m glad I chose this one (and believe me, I did an extensive amount of research!) also, I like the gold tone permanent coffee filter and not having to worry about using the paper filters.

   Based on previous reviews, I was expecting a basic, but decent coffeemaker.. Unfortunately, it did not deliver. Grounds seeped into the coffee, regardless of whether I used the gold filter. the paper filter, or both. The coffee also was way too hot, and tasted boiled. Yikes!!!

   My last Capresso drip coffee maker was a winner, so I didn’t even look at other brands when it was time to replace it. However, this one fails to live up to the high bar its predecessor set. It makes coffee OK, but it’s not in a hurry to do it. It does allow the user to pour a quick cup before it finishes brewing, which is a good thing. The controls are almost flush with the front, and the display is LCD, against a dark background, making it difficult to read. I don’t use the programmable feature, so I can’t say how that works. The deal breaker for me is the carafe’s flawed design. It is prone to spills and it’s difficult to pour water into the reservoir, particularly when trying to make a full pot. The lip of the carafe is too shallow and not designed to pour fluidly. This means I am cleaning up spills almost daily. It is also difficult to pour coffee from the carafe into a cup. When pouring water into the reservoir, the carafe hits the lid of the coffee maker. There is a plastic bridge in the reservoir that leaves only a small space on either side to pour the water in. To get the last bit of water into the reservoir, you need to almost completely invert the carafe. It hits the lid and the bridge on the reservoir. Though it’s possible to get the water in there without spilling it, it’s a challenge, particularly before COFFEE!

   You can review my orders in the past. I have ordered Capresso more than once. The previous one I ordered was in 2017. It was a great coffee maker. This last one (above) is the pits. I thought it was just new and as it was used things would get better. But I’m sorry to say that the coffee still taste like plastic. This one was supposed to replace the prior one I ordered. It Certainly in no way compares and I’m terribly disappointed. Guess I’ll have to find another brand. Although there are very few that will heat the water to 190 degrees to get full flavor from the grounds. Maybe a KRUPS???? Maybe a different capresso? According to the information on the site it was supposed to be the replacement for the previous one I ordered and was very happy with. This one sure does come up short.

   I bought this coffee maker in 2018. We are a household of coffee hounds. That coffee maker is making at least one pot of coffee a day, and sometimes two. It has performed reliably for 5 years, which is astounding for such a cheap unit. The only complaint I had was that the on-off button is hard to see, so I took some light-colored nail polish and painted that button. Problem solved. I would buy this again, and I am thinking of doing that just to have a backup plan when this eventually dies.

   Very good coffee maker. This is the third Capresso I have had and they all brew a very good cup of coffee. It holds the temperature at a good level, brews quickly (minimizing the formation of “tar” and ensuring a clearer coffee) and it brews at the correct temperature. The conic filter prevents coffee bin fill up that causes coffee to be steeped in hot water increasing the formation of tannic acid (giving coffee a dry taste, just like over brewed tea). The reasons that I didn’t give it five stars is 1.) it does not have the water filter my previous models had; 2.) the pot “overpours” when near full; 3.) the empty pot cannot be filled to the top without over filling the reservoir causing the extra water to pour out the overfill hole and spilling out on the counter. I would buy this coffee pot again unless I wanted to spend a good deal more money on a better coffee pot.

   This coffee maker is kind of pricey but I purchased it because I’d had one that I liked a lot and used for probably 10 years. It finally stopped working so I bought one from coffeemakers.us.com. It works OK but the coffee isn’t hot which is a real disappointment. I wish I’d returned it but now it’s too late to do so.
