   Although I only tried using it once, I like it a lot. My only concern/issue is, why is the lid white instead of the transparent black I see in the product description??? Hopefully, it’s not something like a fake one that will malfunction soon…? I see that they have a different model with a white cap, but that one has a shorter white cap.    This travel espressor maker is compact in size (comparing to traditional espresso machine) and accessories for both Nespresso pod and self grounded coffee brewing. This machine makes a great difference compared to others on the market by integrating heating feature to it. This allows use cold water as source and this maker will heat up the water before brewing. This is a great feature to save a space on thermos bottle or water kettle. The all-in-one button was confusing at first, however it works out well after few trials. It provides functions such as battery level check, heat-n-brew, and direct brew feature (just push the water through coffee pod/powder). The beep sound also help to identify the steps (start heating/ready to brew). The LED light also helps to indicate not only battery level but also the water temperature while heating up. Coffee taste wise, I noticed that it’s not as great as espresso machine but this is the trade off for a travel espresso maker. And also noticed that through self-ground-coffee would have more crema extracted and the taste is much better. The Nespresso pod holder seemed not really tight to punch holes (only partial) which makes the taste and crema not as great as through Nespresso machine. In general this is a great travel espresso maker and it provide an easy way to make a hot espresso while on the road. Only wish it comes with carrying case (with pre-cut foam) to improve the carrying experience.

   Update: After posting this review, it dawned on me to check the area (holes) where the water comes out from the heating element part to the capsule itself. I inserted a toothpick and did a little swirl. (See the photo) . It is now working again and I am a happy camper. Seller offered a refund but not needed now. I’m happy to figure this trick out. Original review: I had been Purchased in March 2024, used it for trips. Worked great till July. Heats the water but will not flow through to the capsule. Have cleaned it multiple times and still not working. Tried different brands of capsules also. I got my money’s worth but will not repurchase.

   Ground coffee works OK and makes a small strong cup as expected, but cleanup is messy and any excess water in the reservoir leaks out when you open it to remove the spent grounds. The spent grounds for each cup requires as much effort and mess as a whole pot of coffee. Using capsules would solve most of the issue, but standard pre-measured coffee capsules don’t fit, which was a deal-breaker. I’d planned to use it camping in foul weather when burning a camp stove is impractical, but this coffee maker would not be much help.

   Oh. mygosh. This is a major roadtrip game changer!! I used hot water for my test drive, so it didn’t take long since it didn’t have to heat the water. I didn’t time it, but I’d say maybe 1 minute or so? I used one of my Nespresso pods, which would be SO convenient to take on trips!! The espresso was hot and delicious. I frothed my milk while it was making the espresso and made myself a quick hot latte. Gosh, was it good! I don’t think there’s any reason, if you don’t have a Nespresso machine, why you couldn’t put this at your coffee station. ONly slightly less convenient and a MUCH smaller footprint! The only thing that might not be all that intuitive is when you’re putting the machine back together once you get your pod in there to start brewing. You have to use a little firm hand to screw the end on. It doesn’t just quickly screw closed. And when you do use that little bit of pressure, the inside punctures the pod so the coffee can brew. I had no problem piercing the bottom of the pod when I pushed it firmly into the little compartment. Now all I need is a travel milk frother! Alexa, find a travel milk frother… 🙂 🙂 🙂

    Battery lasts 4 double shots worth which is perfect because the case has storage for 4 capsules. It’s not particularly loud but it does take a good amount of time to warm up. My workplace has a water cooler that can put out hot water and I noticed using that does save a good minute or two and doesn’t drain the battery nearly as much. It still works fine with cold water, just takes longer. The espresso is more frothy than a Keurig but definitely not quite as nice as an actual Nespresso machine. Using grounds works fine, and it’s easy to clean up, but storing it isn’t as convenient.

    This personal coffee maker is AMAZING!! It heats from cold water so we could have had good coffee during the recent 5-day power outage. It’s rechargeable so we could have recharged it in the car. I didn’t have any of the small Nespresso (or Illy) coffee pods, so I used $4 can coffee (Café Bustelo) and it tasted just like espresso. Also great for travel, but literally, I could use this every day. I poured the shot I made into my 1/2 full coffee cup (made with my Nespresso Vertuo this a.m.) and it literally made it taste like it came from an Italian coffee shop!! Wow 🤩

    Eigentlich genau das, was ich mir von einem mobilen Espressomaker vorgestellt und gewünscht habe. Mit einem Prüfvorgang, kann man einen doppelten Espresso zaubern. Danach muss das Gerät wieder gereinigt werden, was doch ein kleines bisschen Zeit in Anspruch nimmt. Der Espresso ist lecker, nichts besonderes, aber auch nichts besonders schlechtes. Eigentlich genau das, was ich mir von einem mobilen Espressomaker geschmacklich gedacht habe. Nichts herausragendes, aber für zwischendurch schon ganz ordentlich. Die Preisleistung muss dann dementsprechend jeder für sich selbst beurteilen.

    I just received this CERA+ Portable Coffee Machine in “cream” color, and it is absolutely AWESOME! The best travel coffee machine ever made, IMHO. After quite a few disappointing experiences with other brands and models, this machine proved to be a reliable companion during our first trip! I was really impressed by its portability, convenience, and promise of a good cup of coffee anywhere. Upon receiving the package and taking it out, the CERA+ portable coffee machine exuded quality. The cream color with a gold rim in the middle looks pleasantly elegant, and the compact design makes it easy to carry it in your backpack. The inclusion of a USB-C charging option adds to its travel-friendly appeal. The initial setup is straightforward, with clear instructions for use. I appreciate the thoughtful design that accommodates both Nespresso capsules and ground coffee beans. The machine performs admirably, meeting our expectations for a portable espresso maker. The Nespresso capsule issue mentioned in another review is evident – this coffee machine really struggles to perforate the bottom of the coffee capsules, but this minor inconvenience is easily solved with a slight modification: using a sliver of something sharp to perforate the capsule improves its effectiveness dramatically. The machine also handles ground coffee seamlessly, delivering rich, flavorful cups. Just watch my video! One standout feature is its ability to heat water, making it the perfect choice for hiking and backpacking when there is no ready source of hot water on the go. The three water level options allow for customization, although it may take some experimentation to find the perfect strength. It’s worth noting that it can produce several hundred cups on one charge with preheated water. Pro-tips. Experiment with water levels and coffee strength for your preferred taste. Consider perforating Nespresso capsules for optimal performance. Utilize preheated water for extended use on the go. And don’t forget to clean the machine after each use – it even has self-cleaning mode (double press the power button). Talking about issues and potential improvements. While the Nespresso capsule issue is easily resolved, it would be ideal for future models to address this concern out of the box. Additionally, expanding compatibility with different capsule brands could enhance the overall user experience. And I would suggest including more than one ground coffee reusable pod (or sell them separately) so I can pack a bunch of my homemade pods to go. *** TL;DR *** Highly recommended portable coffee machine for on-the-go brewing. The CERA+ Portable Coffee Machine lives up to its promise of providing great coffee during travels. Its ease of cleaning and adaptability to hot or cold water makes it a versatile choice.     It’s easy to make a good espresso shot with this truly portable machine. I use it in my RV which has limited storage and countertop space. I grind my beans fresh using the Cera+ burr grinder. I haven’t tried using this with Nespresso capsules. Complaints are minor, and easily addressed. First, loading the filter basket without making a mess requires a funnel, which isn’t included. Second, the measuring cup doubles to pack the grounds into the basket. A dedicated tamper would make this easier. Finally, when the grounds are well packed they don’t easily release from the plastic filter basket. If it was made entirely of stainless steel it would be a matter of tapping the basket until the plug pops out, but I don’t think the plastic will hold up to that kind of handling.
