   I loved this coffee maker as a Christmas gift from my wife. Took a while to get passed that electronic plastic burning smell but eventually it went away. It was a lot of fun trying out all kinds of flavors of pods and the option of just using ground coffee. And our favorite was having all that frothy frothness that it makes. Unfortunately after a month of owning it and being out of my return window the frother stopped working and the heating element went out. So it still brews coffee but I’m back to square one of mixing any other additions to it and then the extra step of heating it up in the microwave. No time saved now. As of September it still brews but the extra steps and no froth is a constant painful reminder that I’m stuck with a product that won’t get any better or can be returned… #sadface.    The first picture is a single cappuccino. The second picture is a double cappuccino this cup is a 16 ounce cup. You get about 2 ounces on a single and maybe 4 ounces on a double latte 10 ounces for a double yet I had to run it through three times to get 12 ounces, it doesn’t matter whether it’s single or double you still only get a few ounces at a time. I can just run it through three times to get a 12 ounce cup of coffee, but I should not have to for the price that I paid and according to the owners manual. The coffee is good once I run it through a cycle three times to get a 12 ounce cup

   The capsule that fits are the Nespresso ORIGINAL LINE. That is the key. I use this everyday and it does a great job with the capsule in my opinion. I have used Nespresso and Starbucks brands of the OriginalLine capsule. This also has an interchangeable portafilter cup for ground coffee. I have been using that much more since getting a conical burr grinder.

   Maybe I got a defective machine? The temperature of all of the drinks produced was warm, I wouldn’t say hot. The double size latte barely makes 3-4 ounces. The Nespresso capsules never would make more than an ounce or two even when double shot espresso was selected (without using the steam frother functions), and water was left in the top of the capsule holder every time. I tried different flavors from 5 different boxes. When I tried several times using grounds instead, double lattes would barely make 4 ounces if that so I had to go through the process 2-3 times for each drink. I used grounds with light tamp pressure and I used medium tamp pressure so I don’t believe it’s my technique preventing the water from entering the bottom. Upon removing the bar handle each time, there was a mess of espresso that pours out on me and the counter instead of in the glass. Not like the photos nor icons on the machine. I wish it would make nice crema every time and that the lattes would make a full size drink with more dairy than the cappuccino. It’s definitely not like baristas make. I’m going to try another brand of espresso machine. I expected a loud process but my husband thought I was crazy for trying to brew with this particular one so many times. The espresso is bold but such a let down: messy, requires2-3 times the effort, wastes all ingredients except less creamer than desired, and it’s just plain warm. The only other plus is that it warms up quicker than a Keurig.

   The machine itself is sturdy and consistent. I was surprised at how little it put in the cup for a latte and ended up using the “foam” button after the cup was made. After removing the lever, there is usually water sitting at the top of the cup so make sure not to spill it. My biggest complaint is the noise. It is very loud when working. We all have to stop talking during the brew cycle so we don’t yell. Overall it’s decent and I will continue to use it but I don’t think it’d worth $200.

   I love it! For the milk frother, you must ensure its lid is pushed on tightly after placement. I like that it has the ability to “self-clean” the frother. Updating my post to 3 stars because if you still have milk in your brother and run a clean cycle; it somehow manages to add water to your milk.

    So after unboxing, I discovered that there were two pieces missing (the adapter for the capsule and the capsule lid). Odd, but ok. I go ahead and assemble the machine. I filled the water reservoir just shy of the max line and powered it on. The low water error message flashes on the front. Tried to power cycle. Tried to reseat the reservoir. Nothing got it working. Called tech support and they recommended doing a replacement. It was when I was reboxing the machine that I finally noticed that the outer box had a square cut out (see attached photo). I assume it’s where the previous owner sent this machine back and they removed the shipping label and then turned around and sent it to me when I made the purchase. I’ll be getting my replacement next week. If it’s actually new and works as advertised, I’ll update my review.

    Muy linda y funcional cafetera. Es una pena que llamamos al servicio al cliente del vendedor por recibir roto un porta filtro el plástico de una pata y no tienen piezas para remplazar la cesta del porta filtro de uno. No tienen otra opción que devolverla y pedir remplazo.

    It’s a refurbished item but during shipping looks like it got banged up, it wasn’t packed correctly. The portafilter leaks after the espresso is done and you hear the 3 beeps. But the coffee does taste good. I recommend to buy new. And perhaps a better seller where it’s packed with care. 3 months later and leaking water and no frothing, waste of money

    I really liked this machine and it wsd very easy to use. It has a good pull for a beginner espresso. I liked the functionality of the machine but the mill frothing was the only downside. I found myself pressing the froth button several times to get an 8 Oz latte. It had a great mill capacity that you can store in the fridge and the portafilter is easy to use.

    La verdad es que es diseño de la maquina es lo que me llamo la atención y en especial el accesorio para usar las cápsulas pero después de unos días de uso la regresaría pero el costo del envío es más o casi igual que el precio de la maquina. En mi video pueden ver que preparo un expreso doble y el resultado es malo y lo mismo y tal vez peor para el latte y el capuchino si estás viendo esta reseña busca otra opción. La calidad de los accesorios es muy baja el plástico es muy corriente 😭. Al principio me emocioné por la maquina por el diseño y las características de la publicación y en especial por las fotos que muestran el café pero bueno la realidad fue otra.

    I was really skeptical about purchasing this because of all the bad reviews. But I am happy to report my machine works perfect. I was a bit upset to receive a used (1st 👎) machine since I paid for a brand new one. But I will deal with that separately. I used the nespresso capsules and made my first cup of latte. That’s after I had primed it 3 times with water. I was pleasantly surprised that it didn’t have any issues making a 4th cup of coffee back to back since this seem to be one of the issues brought up by other customers. Saying that they could one make 2 cups before it had issues. I didn’t have the issues of the pump not working, but I believe this was due to being pre used as I followed a YouTube video that had to prime his about 3 times to get it to work. Mines started it the first time I selected an option, which verified my concern of it being used. Another thing that confirmed this was used was that there were particles in the water from water calcification. So I would definitely recommend never using tap water, it will help your machine to run smoother longer. I have not tried it with grounds yet so I can speak on that. My latte was made with a nespresso capsules starbucks blond. And the flavor was smooth. The other second 👎 for me was that the double shot only makes about 4oz, which a normal latte should at least 8oz and a double should be 16oz. So that is my one huge 👎 on this product. HOWEVER, for the price I guess I can live with having to replace a capsule and pushing a button one more time. And I would definitely not use the same capsule because the cup of coffee might be too weak but, I am just guessing. I will have to try it and see how it taste. will update on this. I would definitely recommend this product, and also would get the extra $30 for warranty just in case. I have made other purchases with the warranty and it definitely paid off.

    I bought this as a Christmas gift for my wife this past year. The packaging was great, box was not damaged, packaging was not damaged; however one of the pieces of the product itself was damaged. The return process was fairly simple and we also received the replacement in a timely fashion (about a week). The espresso machine runs really loud. Our house is not tiny, but definitely small enough that the whole house hears when my wife makes her morning espresso. The tamping tool provided is also the espresso ground scooper, which is cool at first but irritating after some time using it. The consistency on the frother is mediocre at best; especially if you make more than 1 espresso at a time. For example, if you have the frother set at the highest setting when you make a latte (100 ml), on the first latte you actually get the 100 ml. With each latte made after that, you get less.. I would say maybe 50 ml. And then you end up having to run an additional froth after to get the same output. Overall, good machine; but would say to be prepared to purchase a higher quality espresso machine sooner rather than later as this is clearly a beginner’s espresso machine!

    Pretty sure my machine is a dud, which is really disappointing and will be returned. This is a double cappuccino. I didn’t even get an oz. It doesn’t matter what brew or setting I make, it’s all the same. I get maybe an ounce or 2 of liquid. The milk barely dispenses at all. Just disappointed

    My wife is the coffee drinker, not me, and she really loves this machine. She’s been testing it out today and, so far, has had 3 espressos and 2 cappuccinos. Someone, please help me. This seems to be a very nice machine. We have never owned one before, so I have nothing to compare it to. It is relatively easy to use, after you get past the slight learning curve of how to set it up. Once it is set up, the actually process is very easy and the touchscreen is simple to figure out. When making espresso, it’s no noisier than her Keuring, but with cappuccinos, the milk frother does make some noise. It is emitting pressurized steam, after all. Everything is really easy to clean. Most of the time you can get away with just rinsing everything off. My wife is really loving experimenting with this machine.
