This is a very nice looking set – the glass cone fits into a separate wooden ring. It feels like really high quality materials. The size is perfect for brewing enough coffee for one person.
We have a Chemex, and that is how my husband and I make our daily coffee – about four cups total. But on mornings when he isn’t home, I hate to go through the whole Chemex process for my single cup. I ordered this thinking it would work like a mini Chemex. HOWEVER, it actually takes some practice. You can’t just scale back the number of grams of beans and brew like a Chemex. It’s a whole different method.
It does make good coffee once you figure it out. And the product itself looks and feels nice.

I wanted this because it is glass, no plastic to worry about in your coffee. I am leary of ceramic because the holes aren’t fully glazed. BUT you can not use regular cone filters, there’s not enough support for the filter at the bottom and they just break open and the grinds just completely run into your mug. Any suggestions?
