I am completely new to roasting coffee beans, but I have been drinking coffee all of my life and I know what I like and dislike. In short, I really love this coffee roaster. It is incredibly easy to use and set up, clean and maintain and appears to be built for a lifetime of regular use. I live off grid and having a roaster that doesn’t require much electricity is a great plus. Works perfectly on almost any type of gas burner. I was able to get perfectly roasted beans on my very first attempt. The only down side is that you have to remove the bean chaff manually. To do this, I use a hair blower set to blow cool air only while swishing the beans around in a bowel and letting the air blow the chaff away — this should always be done outdoors. The clear glass window makes it easy to judge the darkness of your roast and it only takes about 10 minutes from start to finish to get a good medium and just a few minutes more for dark roast. You can roast quite a large batch of beans at one time if that suites you. All and all a very good product at a very reasonable price.
