Since the temperature control is manual this is a great roaster to experiment with. I’m a newbie and have no experience roasting but did a lot of reading and I have to say I like the ability to control the heat manually and the time manually and this becomes almost assistance to experimental roasting as well as production for my home brew stash. I really like it. And for the cost I don’t think you can beat it.

I’m just starting out roasting coffee as a hobby. This roaster has been great to get started and learn about roasting times and temperature. I’ve used it three times so far and there’s no signs of degradation on the machine. It will hold about 1lb of beans but a few beans may push over the edge if the lid is off.
For anyone wanting to try roasting coffee, I think this is a great machine to start out with.

Really enjoy this roaster! Has made it much easier to roast coffee now & since I am still a beginner, it has helped tremendously! I do recommend this item if you plan of roasting coffee and starting out … there are a lot more roasters out there that are a lot more expensive but this is cheap and definitely gets the job done!
