   I purchased this Jewel for $4.00. shipping included, from Best Buy. The thing does work, but the Permanent filter is terrible and you must put a #4 cone filter in with it. The 10 cups is a euphemism, as it only holds 47 ounces of water, but if you only drink 4.7 ounce cups, then ten it is. It is woefully slow, but does make a decent cup of coffee. So if you like paper cone filters and use a 12 ounce cup you get 4 cups of your favorite brew, eventually.

   It isn’t built as sturdy as the previous coffeemaker’s we’ve had, it works fine. You just need to make sure everything is aligned when you make a pot of coffee. The plastic is a lot more flimsy than our Braun.

   We wanted a simple coffeemaker that makes good, hot coffee. And, this model fits the bill perfectly. When ordering it, I didn’t really see a brand name anywhere. Upon receipt, the small print on the box says it is made by Dynex for Best Buy. Most of the coffeemakers available have built in clocks so you can program when you want to brew a pot of coffee. We don’t need that feature, so this unit was exactly what we wanted (it has just a simple on/off button.) One slightly odd thing we noticed though is that it appears the on/off button might have a light on it. The odd thing is if it is a light, then our light doesn’t work. If it is a non-working light or not even a light at all, it makes no difference to us. We always brew a pot, drink it with family over the next hour and then clean the pot, empty the grounds and shut the unit off. If you keep pots of coffee brewed throughout the day, then maybe the light (or lack thereof) might be an issue for you. Also, this unit does have a reusable filter that is easily removed and rinsed. If you are looking for a very simple, affordable coffeemaker that makes good, hot coffee without the bells and whistles that people such as me never use, then this is the coffeemaker you want!!

   this one lasted just a few months. I’m done buying electric drip coffee makers. These things used to last 10 years. You threw them out just because you got tired of them. I have been through three in the past 5 years. Not just this brand but other ‘name brand’ models. Cheap chineese junk now. Boil water and a coffee press for now on.

   Fits and opens perfectly under the counter. Well designed, with some minor imperfections. Perfect small coffee maker; but
   there is no light for the on/off switch and only one water gage window. Bought a spare because of the nice design.

   Good, cheap product. Does what its supposed to do. However, it’s kind of lightweight and doesn’t keep the coffee as hot as some may like it.
